Professional :: Button Over Sound Plays Again Before Button Down Sound

I've assigned a sound to the button over frame and a different one to the button down frame. When i over over the button the button over sound plays. When I then click the button, the button over sound plays AND the the sound I put in the button down frame plays.

In my flash game, every time you click a button, it plays a short sound. Almost all of the buttons work - Except for a few random handful. Those couple play the sound twice. I don't know why either - I double checked everything.None of the frames have sound. The buttons that play twice are only set to play once. I didn't do anything different between the ones that worked and the ones that don't work.

Stop Sound From Going Into Next Scene While Keeping Button Sound?

I'm sure this is a common problem, I tried looking around on the forum for a problem like mine but was unable to find anything. I'm using Flash CS3, Actionscript 2.0, and am making a soundboard. I have two scenes, one that's the title screen, of which has a sound file loaded via the timeline, (I think) set to Event and Loop, and a button which takes you to the next scene and makes a short sound when it's pressed. My second scene has background music as well, also set to Event and Loop.

Problem is that when I press the button, the background music keeps playing into the next scene. I tried using putting stopAllSounds onto the button, but that makes the sound of the button stop as well, and I'd really like to keep it. I've been messing with this for days, and I can't figure it out.

Professional :: Loading With Sound Only Played Once But Keeping Hover Over Menu Item Sound Intack?

I have a flash header that was never completed because the guy I hired took people's money and ran. So now I even wonder if what he said could work with my flash header is true or not. But, usually there is always a way to make it work.I have a flash header that does two important things: 1) Upon entering the site, it loads and plays an audio track 2) Makes an animal noise when you hover over each animal menu item. (not sure if I'm able to give a link to it or not on here. If I able to and someone would like to see it let me know)I want to know if my flash header can support the following addionalunctionality/changes:1) Currently, it loads everytime a page is selected.  I only want it to load the one time of entering the site because the audio gets annoying.  Set a cookie maybe?2) But, I do not want to turn the audio off completely because I still want the hover over each menu item sound.

3) Have a link on it to allow them to select to turn on / off the sound completely. It currently has that, but only for the current page. Once you select another page, the audio is back to on.4) Lastlly, is there a way for it to detect that someone doesn't support flash and to display an html version of it? And can flash create a html version from my fla file?I don't know much about flash (but am learning) so I'm not sure if I'll be able to do this myself. However, I want to find out if my flash header will even work this way before I invest the time learning it just for these changes. I know it will be pretty deep with script code, but I'm hoping I could find base code already available for these features.

Ive stumbled upon a few sites that have free sound FX's but the ones I want which I wuld think are the easiest to get I cant find.I want a sound for when someone clicks the right thing, like a under a sec tiriring or something like when you kill a guy in Leauge of Legends or something like that and also one for when you click the wrong thing like an windows warning ut a little different, yet all the sites and SFX I come across are for everything but those.

I am triggering short sounds dynamically from the library for a game (Specifically Air for Android). When the user clicks a button the sound can take up to 600ms to actually play. I have set it for any silence before the actual sound by calling the sound like so:

All return the same results. I know there are threads here that talk about this but none have offered a real solution that I can find. Is there no way to cache the sound or store it in a buffer?

We have 4 buttons, each calls a different swf. Cannot get one swf to unload audio when another is called.Have tried many scripts but none work. Still hear audio of previous swf on top of newly-loaded swf. This was never a problem in AS2 but too late to go back to AS2, must resolve in AS3.I read that this is a bug but everything I have tried does not work. Have been using UILoader to get position accurate x=150, y=40.

For loading have tried List, UILoader, addChild, etc. Don't know which is best to use so it can be unloaded.

I am having problems with a flash template that I am redesigning. Currently when the movie loads it automatically starts a song in the background. When you click my music navigation link my music page comes up and there are a few links there that I want to add music to. I also need to stop that background music so the song from the link can play.

CS3 Sound On/Off Button In Movieclip?

I'm trying to make a button that when clicked executes a sound clip and plays all the way through. Also, if the button is clicked while the sound is still playing the sound needs to stop. They have me first place this code in the first frame:

my_sound = new Sound();
my_sound.attachSound("bubble_01sound");

Next I create two buttons, an on and an off which are placed separately in the second and third frames respectively. Code is applied directly to the buttons.

The on button:

on (release) {
_root.my_sound.start(0,1000);
_root.gotoAndStop("stop");

Finally, I name the 2nd frame "play" and 3rd frame "stop" and add stop(); to both frames. Oh I also set up the linkage so that the sound's identifier is "bubble_01sound".

This is all well and good however, here's the rub. Unlike their example which takes place in the main timeline, my button needs to bob up and down. So I put everything from the tutorial in a movieclip and on the main timeline animate the movieclip as I like. When this plays the button does not play sound. I took this as the initial sound code not being activated because its in the movieclip. If I take the sound code out of the movieclip and place it in the first frame of the main timeline, the button does play sound but the stop function does not work. I can keep clicking the button which repeats the sound on top of the already playing sound.

So it seems to me there are three options. One, I need to find a way for the sound code to be activated when its seated in the movieclip. Or two, with the sound code in the main timeline, I need a way for the on/off buttons to reference the code which is one level up in the main timeline. Or the third option would be that I'm completely wrong... I'd put my money on the third option.

The problem is that I have two sounds, one for rollover and one for down state, and when I click both sounds play. I�v build a simple flash projector to offer to my local fire department Essentially they used to in internal audio alarms to warn firefighters when there is an accident, fire, aggression, etcIn the version 1.0 they click several buttons, one to play the alarm sound, otherto announce the vehicle or vehicles that goes out, and a last one that says what is occurring.

The problem they report is that the sounds play immediately when you click in each of the buttons, and even the sound overlaps the other, which makes they click on each button and have to wait for the sound to finish and then click next. All this is normal because I associated the sounds to the buttons. What do I need to do the flash in this order in the version 2 of my projector:

1 The Fireman choose the type of alarm you want to play and click the button corresponding (but do not want the sound to play now) let's imagine that he pressed the button "alarm 1"

2 The Fireman choose (s) vehicles which are going out to the occurrence (but do not want the sound to play now) let's imagine that pressed the button "ABSC01"

3 The Fireman choose the type of occurrence (but do not want the sound to play now) we will imagine that pressed the button "fire"

4 finally the fireman holding down the "PLAY" (the green on on the top of the image) and this Makes the sounds selected to start playing in sequence, liker "Alarm 1" then "ABSC01 "and then" Fire "

Logically speaking I believe that each button must declare a variable associated with every unique sound, and then pressing the button takes the variables and plays them in sequence and without overlapping sounds.

* Plays a sound in the library on loop

* stops that sound

* mute that sound (so it's still playing but cant be heard)

* unmutes that sound

the idea is so i can spread out this in scripts instead of in the frames.

I'm having trouble with sound in Flash. I may have went about coding the wrong way, because most of my codes are on frames.

So, I have these two variables

var outsideDay:Sound = new daysong();
var outsideNight:Sound = new nightsong();

And I want to play these songs on a specific frame. However, the sounds play sporadically, like 50 times at once. I think it's because I have other codes that link to the frames with a Enter_Frame function. How can I get the sounds to loop and not play multiple times at once?

I'm newbie in flash. I have created a button - it looks perfect. I got seperate keyframes for UP, OVER, DOWN and HIT events. The OVER (and only it) has assigned the sound.
