When I export the *. FLA was created in a machine different from mine. Every time I get a *. fla of a client in my machine and I export the fonts (typography) loses its alignment and distorts the original creation. Remembering that I have the *. FLA and fonts (typography) the original client.

Or let me re phrase that to make sure there is no confusion.When the project is viewed on my computer the font looks fine but when viewed on any other computer the font is Times new roman and the sizes are completely messed up.

View 1 RepliesI am new to Flash so this may be a basic question, but I have not been able to find anything in the help files or the forums. I have tried several times to change the size of my quicktime movies, from 550 pixels by 400 pixels to 480 pixels by 480 pixels, and I cannot seem to do it. I have used "Modify > Document" and tried every option I could find through this command. Each time I export I double check that the export settings match my desired size, and they do, but when I open the movie in quicktime, it has been stretched to fit 550 x 400 pixels. The preview movie looks exactl how I want, it is only the exported movie that is incorrect. Is it possible to make a quicktime movie of the size I would like, or is that a standard format that cannot be adjusted?
As a workaround, I have tried squeezing my 480x480 content into the 550x400 stage (while scaling it prportionally). but when I do this, the square of content is not centered in the background in quicktime. It is off center in the preview movie as well, and this commonly occurs after I have used "modify > document" to change the size of the document. The side to which it is aligned seems to be inconsistent. Is there a way to realign the video after I have modified the document size? Does changing the document size through "modify > document" affect the centering and alignment of my video? Is there a way to change it back?

I'm running CS3 and using AS2. I'm not new to Flash, but this is a new problem that suddenly just started happening.My text is displaying at the wrong size within flash, and when I export it, the text looks completely different. It's making it extremely difficult to work on my site, because any graphics I align with the text are way off when I preview the file.
I attached an image showing what I mean- notice how the green bar didn't change size, but in the preview image, the bar is way longer than the text. I have been working on this site for a while, and I had no trouble with it until today. Now all of my text in all of the files is screwed up in flash, but still looks fine in the html page.. I need to get this fixed so I can keep working on it!
is it possible to prevent the exporting of embeded-font symbols in first frame? on my embeded-font symbols "export for as" is turned on and even if "export in first frame" is turned off my font symbol loads before firs frame.

I am using a glow effect when I roll over the buttons and the buttons were not "broken apart" before I made them buttons, I dont know if that makes a difference.

View 4 RepliesI'm using the following code to resize user input text when it gets too long for the textfield. The resizing seems to work fine but when it resizes it it becomes left aligned and is outside the textfield. I only see the end of the text. It's as though it's centering to the cursor instead of the text. If I use the arrow keys to back up the text it snaps into the center of the textfield like it should have been from the start.[code]
View 1 RepliesI have a strange issue where a dynamic text field will not show a bold version of a font (Gerstner BQ) if the regular version is on the stage in a static text field.Remove the static text field and the dynamic text field displays the bold font correctlyI have created a test FLA to reproduce this and by turning the layer with the static text field on and off (Publish settings -> Flash -> include hidden layers [unchecked]), the issue is quite clearhis issue is so big for me that I have had to abandon a project in CS5 and start again in CS4 just to work around this.

I get a compiler error 1119 Access of possibly undefined property html through a reference with static flash.text:TextField. The text box is a dynamic text box, not static, so I'm puzzled.I don't get this error with the GG Subscript code above.
I'm trying out the trial version of Flash Professional CS5 and have a very short animation that I am trying to export.It exports just fine as .swf and .html, but the quality is awful when I try to export it as .mov.I will, in the end, want to upload my finished animation to YouTube,If I could just get the animation to run smoothly as a .mov I'd be set.

The way the animation is set up is 1 frame on the main timeline, and a scrolling movie clip as the background. There is no actionscript at all in the file.

Problem: I created a flash app (simple 1 screen with text that links to pdf(s) nothing fancy) When published as a .exe and .app. The .exe works but the .app does not. The Flash player icon just bouces in the Mac dock.
I'm trying to export a fla file to a mov file in Flash CS4. My fla file is 152 mb. It is a 5 minute presentation I created with a 39 second f4v file (video clip) in the file. I go to Export / Export Movie. I select Quicktime (mov). I keep the default settings and it starts to cycle through. It gets about half way and I get a message "The export operation failed because it ran out of memory" I'm running this on a Mac Pro, System 10.5.8. I have 4 GB of memory. My HD is 232 GB with 155 GB available.
View 7 RepliesI've made a flash image with the gif extention with Adobe Flash CS4 Pro. I have set the WMODE to tranparent and i've set the Transparency at the giv tab to transparent to. But now comes the difficult part. Each time when I export the image the background is still white.
What did I do wrong? and how can I fix it?
I am working on a mac but my question is what files do I need to export out of CS5 to include in my upload besides the index SWF and index html? Do I have to export each individual page? Each individual photo? each individual button, ect? Or is there a main folder I can export and up load to my server. Also for all the photos I have put into the project, do I need to upload them as a seperate folder, if so, is there a specific name I should label it so it registers?

View 3 RepliesAnyway, I have an animation I made in flash, and when I go to File>Export>Export Image, it doesn't export with the text. Also, depending on the image type I'm trying to save as, it will randomly save an image of different point in the animation than that which I have the playhead on.

The script works good and the nicely formed xml is traced out in the output window. But i would like to export it to an independent XML file instead of the output window.

All looks great in flash, but when I publish the file as a swf - the colour block is solid. I'm assuming I'm using the wrong export options, but don't really know the difference between them all. I'm publishing under flash lite 4 as I was told I needed to use this to make my movie compatible over mobile devices as well and normal web browers.

My flash file contains only one frame, with an flv component, a movie clip and as3 code prompting various animations based on the cue points contained in the flv file.
I've tried exporting to .mov using both export options ( "when last frame is reached" and "setting duration of the flv video" ) and in both cases the export is not successful.
My question is: Given my particular setup - is this actually possible ?
I have created a movie in flash8 and when testing it as a swf file everything is fine, however when I expoxed the movie to avi format the sound secuence does not run at the same time as the movie, in other words the sound is running slower than the movie?I have the frame rate set at 12.0 fps and have tried exporting in different formates. As an example one formate I have used is Microsoft MPEG4 and changed the frame rate in the settings to match as 12.0 fps but the sound is always running slower behind the movie?

View 5 RepliesI found this bug in Flash 8, so I just downloaded CS5.5 trial and I see the same problem. When I increase the image export resolution to get a larger image, at one point the lower section of the image became white (the image has the appropriate size but the content is not rendered in the lower section). As bigger is the image, larger is the white fraction. The amount of useful pixels always stay around 10 or 13 megapixels. Here some examples:Original image was 3375x6710 pixels in the left one and 2625x5219 en the right one.
View 3 RepliesI am having trouble exporting Quicktime videos from Flash CS4. Previously, in Flash CS3, I got the following dialogue box: Flash CS3 export box Notice the fact that I can change the export resolution in this box. I set the resolution to what I want, and then click the quicktime settings box to change the movie's imensions to what I want. The resolution settings in this picture determine what dimensions the flash movie is rendered at, not the final quicktime movie. Now, take a look at my new dialogue box:

If I go into the quicktime settings and export out a movie at a higher resolution, it first renders the flash file at the ative resolution in the picture and then upsizes it to the quicktime resolution, resulting in a very low-quality, blurry movie.
I made a banner that will appear at the top of a website, though I just found out I need to decrease the width of it. I would like to export it at a smaller size, so I go to Publish Settings and I notice I can change the width and height. How can I do this while maintaing its proportions? It is currently 791 x 275. Using CS3.
