Professional :: Graphic Becomes Pixelated On Side Scrolling SWF File

Aug 10, 2010

I'm creating a side scrolling presentation that has logos from different companies moving from the right to the left of the movie. The images are high resolution, but the type becomes unreadable when they are in motion. Is there a way for me to have a smooth image from beginning to end without a loss in image quality? Here is the presentation: [URL]

Move One Graphic (converted To Symbol) From One Side To Another?

Nov 17, 2009

All I'm trying to do is move one graphic (converted to symbol) from one side to another.  However, when I try to put in the 'motion tween' it keeps saying "Multiple objects are selected, you must convert them to a symbol in order to tween them.  Do you want to convert them and create a tween?"  If I click 'Ok'  it comes up with "The tween could not be applied to some of the selected frames.  This could be due to the frame containing ActionScript, Multiple objects, non-tweenable objects or being on a layer that cannot be a tween layer"

Professional :: Pixelated Images When Scaled Down

Mar 27, 2008

I have scaled down some JPG's in flash and they look fine but when I publish to a SWF they look pixelated. I've read other threads and done what is suggested i.e. Smoothing on or off, JPG's instead of PNG's and quality at 100% with no success. I know that Flash isn't a resolution based application and bitmaps are but the images look fine in the Flash IDE.

- The menu scrolls to the left when mouse is over the left side of the menu (there will be an arrow pointing left), and the menu reacts in the opposite fashion when the mouse is over the right side of the menu- The menu is constantly scrolling in the left direction when the mouse is not over the left or right arrow- The menu stops scrolling (or slows down) when the mouse scrolls over any of the items in the side-scrolling menu.

Flash :: Data Structure For Side Scrolling Game?

Mar 27, 2011

I was just wondering what the best data structure would be to use to represent data objects in a side scrolling game, basically the stuff the user can't see isn't on the stage so I would generally create a custom class to define its properties (x,y,weight, type, derp, etc) and then push that into an array and as the user moves forward I project the info from the array while checking if their x position is.

The problem that can occur is that the user can move left and right so whats the best way to keep track of the indexes?

I know this isn't going to happen over night, and my primary focus is on the bike & suspension & rider physics (making sure the suspension/bike/rider react correctly to bumps).URL...

Actionscript :: Flash - Ease Out Scrolling Moviclip, Scrolled By Sensor On Each Side?

I have a movieclip that is scrolled by means of a 'sensor' on each side of the stage. The clip scrolls fine in both directions, however here is my problem:When the users mouse leaves the stage, the movie clip stops dead in it's tracks, and this does not provide a nice smooth effect. Looking at the code below, is there any way I could tell the animation to ease out when the users mouse leaves the stage rather than simply stop suddenly?

ActionScript 3.0 :: Playing A Sound File And Graphic Positioning In The Same File

Dec 15, 2009

I have a problem that I have not found a syntax error or logic error to explain. It appears to be an obscure problem related to playing a sound file and graphic positioning in the same file. My next step is to look for any known bugs. I have posted the file at. URL] When the page loads you will see a list of selections. Do not click any of the html Play buttons In the graphic arrow pointing to the right is the play button click it and a default file will start. Click the pause button (which will be green while the selection plays) Then click the play button again. The knob that moves while the song plays, will begin moving from the position it was at the time pause was clicked.

Click the stop button (arrow facing left with vertical line at tip) Choose a selection from the html list by clicking the Play button next to it. Then click the play button in the player display. The title of selection will appear in the title area. repeat the original steps (play, pause, play) This time the knob that moves while song plays, snaps back to the start and moves from start, rather than from the pausedposition.

Flash :: Professional - Video Rotation - Image Becomes Very Pixelated And The Edges Of The Video Become Jagged

Dec 10, 2010

I am currently working on a flash website that has several flv videos on it. Since the website layout has a slight tilt, I have had to transform the videos to slightly tilt as well. The problem that I am having is that when I do this the image becomes very pixelated and the edges of the video become jagged. I have somewhat fixed the edges issue by making a mask around it but i really dont know how to make the resolution better, or what causes it to loose resolution when slightly transformed. The size of the videos is the same as encoded. All I do is tilt them upwards on the right side a bit.

Flash :: Professional - "Pixelated" And Out Of Sync Movies Played

[URL] The sound is normal and the only thing affected if the video. If is there is any sudden movement in the video, it will distort the image. using v10.2 and am on Win7 x64. Viewing the video's in Firefox. I had the same issue on my older computer a while back using Vista x64 in both Firefox and IE. The problem on my older computer was resolved by simply restarting the computer. But this time that didnt work. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling flash, and restarted multiple times
