I see some documentation about how to shoot video with a green screen and import it into Flash, but can it be done the other way around? Can you put a green screen color in the background of Flash and then incorporate it with video?

i am doing a project that requires real time green screening. Basically the user will see themselves onscreen (with the use of a webcam) with an animation happening behind and in front of them. There will be a green screen behind the user so how do i eliminate the green screen?

I start a new actionscript3 project and, whenever I try to draw anything, no matter what I select, it always comes out as a plain, green outline. after updating to the latest flash player version, i get this double image top and bottom with a large green line running halfway from right to left.the top image is identical to the bottom image.this only happens in ie and does not do this in firefox.after a few days of trying to fix it and couldnt, i loaded an image prior to the flash player update to fix it.this was fine until i had to upgade the flash player again.im not sure if im doing this right but here is a bmp file of what im trying to describe .http:[url]...i can always restore the image again prior to upgrade but i got the feeling this will came back again and the only way to fix it is to fix it right.
I have really complex flash animation thats severely obfuscated accross several layers and over 500 Symbols. Luckily the whole animation uses just two colours, all the way through. I need to find a way of swapping colours like this, so I can make all the red parts green, etc.
View 2 RepliesI'm new to Adobe Flash CS4. I'm making an animation of some fish underwater. I have 2 small fish motion tweened to follow a large fish from left to right. When I view the animation in full screen the small fish seem to be wiped off the screen at a certain point. The tween box continues to follow it's path but the symbol disappears. This only seems to happen with larger objects.

when my website screen is loading the Flash content may take a second or two to load and what I am getting is an area with a white border and and little 'x' in the left hand corner. Just been to a clients and it did it on their computer also. Have a look at my index screen to see what I'm talking about [URL] Is this just how it is or is there something I can do to sort this, like get rid of the border, or something??
I use SlideshowPro and Flash Eff with Flash CS4 so not mega into doing Flash from scratch so go easy on me if this requires some mad code or something.
Just wondering as I have never done this before, can Flash with a slideshow component work at 100% screen width.
I am working in a table where I have set the height in px but the width 100%.
I would like the slideshow component to work at 100% screen width but cant work out if this is even possible.
When on a game site using flash player and trying to use full screen it goes to a blank white page. How do I correct this problem?

All are loaded using an preloader (another swf file), one for as2 games and one for as3 games... the thing is that for some time now when you load a game the flash player shows a black screen even when the game is loaded, and it stays like that until I rescale the browser window... there is some problem with the flash player refresh I think..
View 1 RepliesI'm working on a set of SWFs that need to sync with each other using LocalConnection in AS2It was working fine in Flash Player 10, but as 10.1 throttles Flashes when they are not visible, the SWFs lose their sync if any of the SWFs are not visible on the page.This is particularly annoying as we were not aware of this new behaviour in 10.1 and I expect the update will break a lot of similar websites.

However playing flash related content always freezes when in full screen mode. This includes if something is playing or if the movie has ended and the player is staying in full screen mode.I have tried on IE8, Firefox and Safari. View 1 RepliesI have recently upgraded to Flash Player 10.2 (correct version for Windows 7) which will operate satisfactorily on BBC/ITV players in small (part) screen mode. Whenever I click for full screen, the screen goes completely black (blank), though the sound remains. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Flash Player 10.2, twice, but to no avail. Has anyone come across this problem and/or can anyone tell me a solution? All other functions on my laptop (Dell XPS) seem to be fine.
View 4 RepliesI am interested in developing AIR apps for Android tablets (Xoom, Transformer, Playbook, Iconia, Galaxy Tab, et cetera). I expect to encounter different pixel densities ("information densities" as the Flash documentation says).
The different densities on the screens between tablets creates a situation in which objects on the screen can have very different sizes and appearances even if the screen resolutions are identical.
The Android developer information from Google recommends creating different layouts and providing different graphic assets for different densities.
I don't see a way to do this in Flash.
The marketing material I initially saw on Flash Pro 5.5 seemed to suggest that Flash Pro 5.5 supports multiple screens across devices (there was a big ampersand in the advertisement).
Does Flash Pro 5.5 address the variations in screen densities for Android tablets? If so, what does it require the developer to do in order to achieve this? (Point me to specific documentation if possible.)
I am currently having a problem when launching the trial version of flash cs5.5 . The screen that says the timeleft at my trial comes up but the flash cs5.5 screen stays black and is "not responding". About two weeks ago, it worked, so i don't know what is happening. All my other programs work. I tried to reinstall it, to delete the left flash cs5.5 program files after the uninstall and many other things, but it dosen't work.Here is a screen capture of the flash cs5.5 blackscreen. notice that in the frame of the window it tells" not responding".

YouTube videos appear as a white screen when embedded on the page in Chrome. I hear sound.2 The video is normal when I switch to full-screen mode.3. HTML5 videos display normally in Chrome4. Firefox displays YouTube videos without any problem.5. Ubuntu Lucid 10.4, with the same software components, displays YouTube video in Chrome without problems.Any thoughts on correcting this odd problem?
View 1 Repliesi've been working with flash for a long time, but there's still something that i don't quite think i'm understanding fully. i see many of these sophisticated photography sites programmed so that the photo fills the whole screen (such asand the photo is crisp and clear on any sized monitor.i know how to set the site to be programmed to fill 100% of the screen, and i know how to "trace bitmap" inside of flash so that the photos work a little better. they then act more like vector images than bitmaps which tend to pixelate when proportions are enlarged. but when i use the "trace bitmap" feature, the flash file often becomes very large size in terms of KB, even when some detailed smaller images are traced.
View 1 RepliesI'm running Vista, 32 bit, and the latest version of Firefox. Any time I enlarge a video I'm watching on a website that uses the Flash Player, (youtube and others) to full screen, the computer eventually locks up. The video continues normally, but hitting escape does nothing to reduce the video back to the smaller size. I then hit CTRL ALT DEL and still nothing changes. The mouse can't move the cursor, hitting tab doesn't work, nothing.
I've tried uninstalling the Flash Player using the offline uninstaller, and reinstalling the latest Flash Player using the offline installer. I've gone to the Flash "about" page after each of those 2 actions to make sure that Flash is completely uninstalled, and reinstalled. I've also run CCleaner after uninstalling Flash Player just to make sure no registry entries, etc. remained.
I have a simple litte banner I did with flash (version 9.0). Just a few images and some text that I fade in and out with a motion tween. When i publish this to an animated gif, the text turns into blobs on the screen.

I created the text, converted it to a symbol, then tried to create a motion tween in which I could tweak the alpha values of the text object. However when I try to create the keyframe, the popup that comes up has the Color option greyed out (which is where I believe the alpha setting lives).

View 1 RepliesIve imported an FLV into a Project. Some computers wont play the video back if the Flash Player is set to Full Screen. The screen goes black during Full Screen. If you set the player to regular, you can see the video playing (embedded into design) but once you set player to Full Screen the video plays on its own right at centre of screen. Im working on a Touch Screen Display that has the display set to Portrait mode. Im investigating if the display card is causing the problem.
