I have export a 10 mb fla sildeshow of 10 image 650x350 with alpha, classic tween and audio to avi using Flash CS5 and the output avi file for a 47sec movie come up to 750 MB, is that normal? How can I reduce the size?

View 1 RepliesI have a transparent movie (wmode = transparent) on top of a game. Both are separate swfs embedded on an HTML document. The transparent movie is bigger than the game dimensions... and sits on a higher layer (z-index). transparent movie on top of a game.
Problem: cannot interact with the game. I assumed that a transparent movie on an html page will be.transparent, so you can interact with whatever is underneath it (like select some html text). Am i missing something?
Under the stroke properties before or after I draw a line, I set it to NORMAL but when I re-select the line, it keeps changing it back to NONE. Some how it is now the default and I cannot change it I have tried opening new documents from scratch but I still cannot get it back to scale normally. All the lines are inside movie clips and these movie clips need to scale properly. I cannot seem to find any other answers besides telling me what I have already tried.If I change the line type from solid to dotted, it then scales (actually you cannot change the scale mode.

View 5 RepliesSomething is broken in my Flash Professional CS5, and it's creating a real pain. When I have finished editing a page of TLF text and want to return to the stage, I find the little left arrow Missing In Action.
I'd send you picture of it, but it can no longer be found. Here is an image that I snagged from Adobe TV to give you a rough idea what I'm saying. The difference is that when I was editing a text symbol, ( before it broke ) then its name would be where Scene 1 appears, and the arrow would be strongly visible ( dark blue? ) rather than grayed out like this one is.
When this first happened it took a while to find any way at all of escaping the edit, but I finally found a really clunky way to get out. I have to save then exit the entire .fla file edit session, then come back in and start over.
I'm running Flash Professional CS5 11.0.2.489, apparently 32 bit code under Windows 7 on a 64-bit i7 processor.

In Flash, if I Test Movie in normal mode (Ctr + Enter) I get no complaints about accessing URLs. The SWF's sandbox is "localTrusted". However when I debug Test Movie (Ctr + Shift + Enter), the sandbox is different. I then get complaints about accessing URLs; Security Sandbox Violation "...Untrusted local SWFs may not contact the Internet..." if localWithFile, and "...denied due to lack of policy file permissions..." if localWithNetwork.
Is this a "feature"? If so, I'd like to be able to turn it off. It would be nice if there was simply a warning, and not actual failure. To fix it, I could trust the file using global trust settings, but that seems silly just for debugging.
I havve accidently created extra unneeded key frames in a layer, in the middle of motion tween. I was wondering how to change these keyframes, without deleting them so not to change the length?

I need to click on "Maximise" button to view in full. How to solve the problem? It is our Intranet link.

View 2 RepliesI'm suddenly getting an "Unexpected file format" error on virtually every Flash CS4 file that I try to open. These are files that I created and I'm trying to open tham on the same computer on which they were created. The only thing that I can think of that has changed is that I installed some new fonts, so I deleted those, but that hasn't helped.I've tried retrieving files that I had backed up to a server, and those give me the same error. The only files that I AM able to open are 1) a test file that I created in CS4, saved, closed and reopened, and 2) files that had been created in CS3.

After the restart, I opened Flash, It said that the "Essentials xml" couldn't be opened. So it said to go to Window>Essentials reset. I did and I was able to edit again. But before doing that, I tried to open that project, and it Said that it couldn't be found. I opened it manually but still the same. Then I closed Flash and opened it again. And when I opened the project I got : "Unexpected file format".

View 1 RepliesSo Ive been working with Flash Pro CS5 and it seems I cant get the converting right with image formats into shape symbols. A couple days ago I did convert it correctly but now I cant remember how exactly I did it lol.
What Im trying to do is convert an image into a shape symbol then into a .gls format. When I import the working shape symbol in my SoThink Flash it would show up in the scene but now I cant recreate a working one as it would show up as a blank image.
Ive watched and read through some tutorials but Im confused on which order I should do the steps into converting an image into a symbol.
Btw.. if theres an easier way to convert an image into a .gls format I like to hear it as well
I was recently working on a project in Flash CS5.5 for school, last thing i did was save the project and close the program. Next time I try to open it I get an error saying "Unexpected File Format", and the application closes itself out. I can open Flash by itself and work on anything else, but when I try to open my class project it repeats the same thing "Unexpected File Format" and closes. The file was originally started IN Flash CS5.5, and has not moved to any other program since then.
