What the heck happened to the JPEG2000 or MotionJPEG option in the Quicktime video settings?
So I have recently aquired Flash CS4 and the Quicktime Export is completely different from any version before.I create a lot of 3-4 minute shorts in Flash and have always enjoyed the ease of QT export, but when I export with CS4 I get all kinds of ghosting, even on 5-10 second clips so breaking up the fla file's scenes is no help.After doing a lot of online research I see a few people have similar problems, but no concrete explanations or solutions.Has Flash-to-Quicktime compatability been disabled?I see that the "Quicktime Movie" export options is not available, only the "Quicktime" export, which yields inferior results. Since I export to the web and for dvd I don't want to have to export PNG sequences and rebuild the soundtrack, but is there simply no longer quality compatability between the two programs?Do I need to ditch Flash for Toon Boom?

I'm trying to delete a website, to remove the information they have stored on my PC. It's a game, Cafe World. It's been crashing, so they said to open the Global settings and click 'remove website'.I can't do this because Glob. Sett won't open!!what, such a simple error in a simple logical application.
View 1 RepliesSince updating to 10.0.2, I have been unable to access the AIR settings (File -> AIR Settings) for my FLA file which is published as AIR 1.5.I get an JavaScript error pop up about "Apollo_OpenSettingsDialog.jsfl" every time I click on the menu option. The same thing happens when accessing the AIR settings through File -> Publish Settings -> Flash (tab) -> Player [Adobe AIR 1.5] (settings).This has rendered my previously working AIR project totally unusable as I can no longer make any changes to the AIR settings. Four months of work is now inaccessible.

I'm looking for fastest loading/streaming with best quality to be the result. If I choose a streaming option like progressive download from a web server, would the choice be dependent on the type of server the file(s) are hosted on? I'm using Flash Professional 8.

View 1 RepliesI am having a problem with Flash.I get the message Movie not loaded if I right clich where the video should be.I may have set the hardware acceleration on/off by mistake, but I cannot get the Settings manager to open to check it.I am running Feroda rc14.If I go to http:[url].... and right click in to white area at the top, I get the message 'Movie not loaded' and the flash version - 10.2.159.1. This is where I should be able to open the settings window.Where does Flash store that info on my PC? How can I check it/change it without Settings manager?

View 3 RepliesI'm having issues converting a semi-old flash file into a quicktime video. I've been moving a lot of work to .mov files lately and off of a flash based file, the conversion actually worked perfectly on a previous video but I can't seem to get it to work on this file. During the conversion it just gets hung up on recording the flash file and I'm forced to cancel. Creating a AVI yields the same result (no that I want a AVI, just saying). I thought of a few things that may have been making it act like this, so I deleted things like the play/replay button and what not, but no good. Can Flash not export to a Quicktime if there are Actionscripts present? I've uploaded the full file, untouched from my tampering here. [URL].

Neither mov nor m4v files work (They obviously need quicktime), and when I convert my movies to FLV they look very pixelated.
IS there anyway to build a high def video player that does not require quicktime player!?
I'm trying to post a Quicktime movie into Flash CS3, but my FLV file looks AWFUL when compared to the original Quicktime video. When importing the Quicktime video, I've tried all kinds of settings. (Soreson Sparks was the worst.) I've changed the quality, the data rate, and the frame rate; I've selected "deinterlaced" and deselected "deinterlaced." I've changed the key frame placement and interval and left them alone. I am all out of ideas. I am grinding my teeth.
By creating some kind of var or something, is there any way I can call up a Quicktime video into Flash without actually converting it into an FLV file? It was suggested that I make an SWFObject2, How to make my video look better. I just want my video to look like it does in Quicktime.
I am trying to export a flash animation as a mov, so i can convert it for html5. When I export the movie, the animation has artifacts in it, strange things do not erase correctly, they do not show when i view it in Flash, or when I view the exported flv file.
So as you can see, there is a 1/2 drawn image. They round things are floating down, but for some reason, as they float down to stack, they leave behind some partial images.
I am building a Flash interface to display high quality photos on a CD that will be included in a book. However, the author has decided to use JPEG2000 images and they will not load using my image loader. JPG will work just fine, but Flash does not seem to recognize the JPEG2000 format. Is there a workaround for this, or do I tell him to resave as JPG?

View 3 RepliesI'm trying to export a Flash movie to Quicktime. The movie is not very large - the SWF file is about 1700 KB. When the export program runs it shows a progress bar recording Flash content. The green bar goes to the end and then gets hung up and never finishes (at least after a half hour wait). I have installed the latest Quicktime codec with Quicktime 7 player.

I have used systems with Adobe CS3 installed and they have a quicktime plug-in for encoding. However, I've just purchased Adobe CS5.5 Production Premium and I have not gained that functionality.
how to get export from FCP with what I have? Do I have use CS3 or CS4? Or do I have to export a quicktime movie from FCP then use Adobe Media Encoder to create FLV files?
I created a swf file useing Flash and need to convert this to a mov file. I watched a training video and under Publish Settings > Format their should be a Quicktime mov option. I do not have this option on my CS5 Flash version. Also, if I try to export as a mov file, nothing happens. I have QuickTime Player version 7 on my computer. It just will not show up as an option in Flash. How do I convert a swf file to a mov file without going online and purchasing a converter?
View 4 RepliesI am having trouble exporting Quicktime videos from Flash CS4. Previously, in Flash CS3, I got the following dialogue box: Flash CS3 export box Notice the fact that I can change the export resolution in this box. I set the resolution to what I want, and then click the quicktime settings box to change the movie's imensions to what I want. The resolution settings in this picture determine what dimensions the flash movie is rendered at, not the final quicktime movie. Now, take a look at my new dialogue box:

If I go into the quicktime settings and export out a movie at a higher resolution, it first renders the flash file at the ative resolution in the picture and then upsizes it to the quicktime resolution, resulting in a very low-quality, blurry movie.
i can't export as Quicktime, it just stops at "Recording Flash Content" - Yes i could export as .avi, but for some reason, i lose some effects there, i could export as .swf as well, but Sony Vegas won't read .swf files, and i can't find a FREE (I don't want some trial with annoying Logos) ...
View 17 RepliesI have been getting a lot of visual artifacting when exporting a Flash CS4 movie to Quicktime. No matter what compressor I use, animation, dv/dvcpro, or even none, artifacts appear and I cannot figure out how to export a clean QT movie no matter what setting I use. I have even changed the finshed when last frame reached to finish at certain time.

But when I do I get the error message, "The installed version of QuickTime does not have a handler for this type of Macromedia Flash movie". So... after a little digging I found out its a issue with flash 6, and changed the flash version to 5! But It still wont work! What on earth am i doing wrong?

I was going through the Flash Downunder tutorials, and creating an interactive player with slider bars to change the 3D X and Y rotation.[code]I get no compile errors (using ActionScript 3.0, BTW) But when testing out the video with Flash PLayer 10 In the publishing settings, the video shows up blank. I thought it may be an issue with windows, but when trying the SWF on a WinXP machine, the same issue occurs.I tried using Flash player 9 in publish settings, and the video plays, but I need to use player 10 to use 3d rotation settings.I'm not sure if this is just a bug with Player 10, or if I'm doing something wrong.
View 11 RepliesI am working with an AS2 application that was put together a while back. The app is used to publish a live video stream to FMS. I am using the Camera class to connect to a local camera (Camera.get()) and to setup the encoding specs for the stream that is to be published to FMS. To preview the camera signal, I am using Video.attachVideo() to attach that camera output to a Video instance on the stage. This is all working greta for me. But here's the thing. The video stream that is being pumped to the Video instance is the direct signal from the camera. Nice and clean. I seem to remember that there is a way to view the video signal with the encoding settings applied to it. It's just one little line of code, if I remember correctly. However, I can't seem to find the code that will do that.
Can anyone quickly share the code that will allow me to preview the encoded video stream?
I am using Flash CS3 on a PC. I am trying to export an animation to quicktime (Export > Export movie) and have some problem regarding the sound. The animation contains actionscript 2.0loads external swf contains streaming soundsplay other sounds via actionscript. 4 scenes. When publishing the animation, it works fine, but when exporting it to .mov, the audio goes faster than the video.
Export setting:
Video:Compression type: H.264Frame Rate: CurrentKeyFrames: 4
Sound:Compressor: 24-bit integerRate: 48.000KhzSize: 16BitUse: Stereo
To be honest, I tried many other compression types and frame rates and keyframes, but nothing seem to work.
I tried:
- importing the external swfs into the original animation
- creating a streaming silence from frame 1 for continuous sound
- capturing the animation using CamStudio, but it's not smooth enough
I have a 2.93 Core 2 with 8 Gb of RAM.I have a Flash video containing animations, graphics and text. It is 2 minutes long. The SWF works fine. ActionScript 3.0. 900x500 resolution.When I first attempted to export as quicktime, it gave a message very close to this:
"Warning: Runtime Shared Libaries (RSL's) failed to be associated with the file due to Quicktime Publishing Settings."
The wording may be a bit off, this is from memory. Keep in mind I am not even trying to publish at this point, I am exporting. Not that I could tell you the difference.So after showing this message, the progress bar continues to fill until it is completely full, and then nothing happens. The bar jus sits there full, doing nothing.So then after I explored the publishing settings, I found under the 'Flash' tab, a dropdown menu that let me choose "Merge into code" as the integrating the Runtime Shared Library with the file.Then I hit publish. The progress bar fills and disappears, I press okay. Still, I can not find any movie file (or even the place to choose where published file go) on my computer.
After this, I try exporting. The warning the appeared previously is gone, but the progress bar still freezes when it is full, and no file is produced.One thing I have been thinking is maybe it has to do with the number of frames in my file. I have inserted the stop action at the end, so the video stops and does not loop when previewing the SWF, however there are still many blank frames, that don't contain any objects or tweens or anything like that. The setting is currently "stop encoding at last frame" which I assume means the last frame of my video before the stop function. I cannot figure out a way to make the empty frames after this point dissappear, I just figure it is part of the program itself.
I have a 5 minute flash movie that has great sound synchronization with the motion when I export as a SWF. However, when I export as a Quicktime file (.mov), sometimes the sound is ahead of the image. Is there a setting I can tweak during Export to remedy this? (so far I have tried to save the Video as "H.264" as well as "Animation". And for sound I have had no luck with the setting of "None" or "Apple Lossless."

View 4 RepliesI'm trying to export a Flash movie as a .mov file. The animation is not that big but there are strange display issues. As the character moves across the screen, there are bits and pieces left on the screen from the previous movements. It's just not rendering correctly and looks terrible. I can't seem to fix it and have been playing with the Format settings etc. There's always the junk left on the screen.
