Professional :: Load A MC On The Main Timeline From A MC?

I have a movie clip (mc_menu) on that is on the main timeline.This movie clip has buttons that I want to use to display other movie clips on the main (parent) timeline.
I am in the learning process. Working with FlashCS5 and AS3. if the issue appears to be too simple for you. Placed a movieclip(mcassessJohn) on the main timeline and moved to the frame labelled "johnFeedback" in the movieclip timeline using the following actionscript code.
I have a main swf which has as3 code on the timeline. I have created a new small swf (a picture gallery) using external .as files (OOP) that works well on its own. I want to load the small swf (through a button on an array) into the main swf. When I click on my button in the main swf, it does not load the small swf (or I think, it cannot read the classes formed through OOP). I get the following error message:TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at classes::Script()TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
I have manually created a empty mc on the maintimeline named 'loadme'. I have my buttons in a movieclip that is on stage and within that mc i have the follwing code to one of the buttons:

I get an error 1119 when I run the swf. Also, is it possible to declare the variable for 'loader' on the maintimeline and then use it in my buttons mc?
im using a load targetscript to load external swfs into the main timeline of my movie, however im keeping much of the other layers/mc's loaded, and the external swf is loading over them, the level the blank movie clip is created in doesnt seem to be working propperlly?? whats going wrong?
i know i've done this before! i have a swf. 4 labels. a stopat frame 1. i embedd this into my main timeline. i have 4 butons inan MC in my main project, going to specific labels in my maintimeline, where i have the following code, attempting to load theswf and jump to that label:

I've created a movie clip with an animation on it's own timeline 30 frames long. When I press 'Enter' while inside the movieclip the animation plays ok.On the main timeline, I have one layer 30 frames long with the movieclip symbol placed on frame one. If I press 'Enter' the main timeline play head moves to frame 30 but the movieclip animation does not play on the stage. If I press 'Ctrl + Enter' or publish to swf then the animation plays ok but I can't setup the stage how I want it without the animation playing on the stage. Do I need to just change a viewing setting (tick box in preferences) or is this related to AS3 or new CS4 inner workings?
how to create .as file and how to link it with flash? another question is can anyone teach me on how to create main timeline and also how to call movieclips from the main timeline?
I am using Adobe Flash Professional CS5, and when I preview my flash animation on the main timeline, symbols with animations in them are stuck on their first frames.
How do I make symbols animate on the timeline? I've seen this been done in various tutorials. Is it a glitch perhaps?
I got one movieclip with several buttons and another movieclip where i use: this.loadMovie("news1.swf"); What Id like to do is, if its possible, to do, on the main timeline, assign, to the buttons what news.swf to load into the other movieclip where i load it. So i can assign one button to load news1.swf and another load news2.swf.
I'm trying to create a flash banner with several nested movie clips within it. I want each movie to run one after the other (not at the same time) but the top layer just keeps dominating (but not even working) even though I've added it's movie further down the main timeline. my main timeline i have an intro, then a main menu. from that main menu it goes to a movie clip, i want to create a 'back to main menu' button inside the movieclip that will return to a certain frame in the main timeline.
In AS2 I need code for a button, on the main timeline, to go to a frame in a mc off the main time line. I have attached a picture of the time lines in case I have not articulated my needs well.
Excuse the probably simple question but I'm just starting off with Flash.I have imported a few video trailers directly into flash and saved them as movie clips. I want to be able to insert these movie clips onto the main timeline and play them one after the other, repeating once they have all played. On the main timeline I have set a layer for each clip and a keyframe where the clip is inserted for each layer. When I go to play the flash file, it is showing the first frame from each movie file and then moving to the first frame of the next movie file. What do I need to do to make flash play the entire movie file in that specific frame before moving to the next frame where the next movie file is and playing all that movie?
The entire .fla animation consists of nothing but two really long movie clips. Which are placed on frames 1 and 2 of the main timeline. Now for reasons that are too deep for me to go into explaination about my boss is telling me that I have to have everything main timeline -no movie clips. I've tried copypasting all of the frames but they all paste wayyy to large on the main timeline and they wind up in different places on the stage.
How can I move all of the frames from my two movie clips onto the main timeline without everything breaking? Better yet - is there any way to just convert a movie clip into an .fla?
I have spent many frustrating hours trying to figure out why this is happening. It is totally broken. I need to use a motion path using 3d in a symbol. Because of the way the project is put together (for Flex) there are several FLAs that need to be converted to symbols.
So when I convert the FLA that contains a motion path with 3D, the object moves away from the path in the symbol (the 1st frame remains in place, but everything else is off the path), even though it remains correct in the main timeline.
And once I start editing the object in the symbol, the object returns to the path ok, as if it had been some strange display issue, but the 3D is all wrong - the vanishing point relative to the object has changed. The same thing happens whether I create the 3D path using "global" or "local" tool settings.
I have the following to load swf files in my main movie. The first swf files that loads has a movie FLV file in it. When I unload that swf file, with the below, the swf seems to get removed, but the audio of that flv keeps playing. What do I have to do, to completely remove that swf file.

How do I import a set of images (a folder containing 10 images) into the timeline so that each picture appears in a separate keyframe? When I try to do this, all image seems to appear in a single keyframe. Or maybe this is they way to do it? I want to make a movieclip with 10 pictures showing after each other.

I have two external swf files which I need to load to the main page of the website, one is the about page which consist mostly of text, the other is an image gallery.Both of them have the same intro animation at the beginning.
My problem is, while testing the main page using bandwidth profiler, the about page loads beautifully, while the image gallery plays its animation first before it even finalizes to load the whole page.
