I am going to be revamping a required annual intranet training session for employees. For the first time, we are interested in including a video instead of having employees page through html screens/jsps.However, we need some sort of accountability. For example, we previously required that employees answer a multiple choice question correctly every few screens. No record was kept of attempts to answer; the application simply wouldn't proceed until the correct answer was selected. For the purposes of using the video, we'd simply like to verify that the video played thru (no fast forward).I've been perusing the different Events available and don't see exactly what I was hoping for. What would be the best approach to this? Should I disable the drag bar/fast forwarding and include code that checks to see if the video stopped and the buffer is empty?
I suppose the title says it all. I can load an external video file (FLV) and I can have it play. I also have the custom buttons made to control the clip. The only thing I have left to do is to have the main timeline move onto frame 2 once the external video reaches its end. I am using actionscript 3 and flash cs 5.5.
I've uploaded a video produced by Camtasia, but it's not played at all! Have a look: [URL] You see that the video is being downloaded, but not played.
The player is ARPlayer 1.7. The video is a mp4 file.
The file is perfectly played on a local computer, but after uploading to ftp stops being played. I don't why...
P.S. It's interesting that if I make simply an swf-video file, it's played good: [URL]. But I don't like this option, because the swf-video is 30MB vs 5MB of the mp4-video.
I'm having a major problem stopping video that is played in an external SWF. I've added the external SWF file via the addChild method. However, when I remove it the video's audio keeps playing. The only other solution if I can't figure it out is rebuilding the site in AS2.
I am looking for a way to track if a video has already been played on someone's internet browser. I have a still image that comes to life from a video, so I really dont want to use controls but on the flip side the video will always play on launch of the page. I provided a mute button to give some control to stop sound but this is a site that gets a lot of repeat traffic. My client has contacted me saying that they have recieved several emails from users saying that the more they travel to the site the concept becomes less edgy and more annoying. I was wondering if anyone has ideas how to solve the issue I am facing. Is there a way to track cookies, cache, or temp internet files through actionscript?
I have a video player in flex which constantly plays a movie. Is there a way to see how many times it has played? So each time the movie is played, text filled populates with +1.
I am looking to add closed captioning to video being played via Netstream. The "cuePoints" and text-data would be pulled from an external XML file. I am tinkering around with different libraries/add-ins but not having much luck. I've read that you cannot add cuePoints to a netstream programmatically.
I stream some h264 videos to my application in FMS3.5, the videos can be played in FMS, but don't work in the local playback, <s:VideoPlayer source="test.f4v" x="31" y="18" width="402" height="206"/>. I get some h264 videos from FMS application "vod", they work well.
I would like to track when a .swf or preferably a .flv video has been accessed or played. Is there action script I can enter in the .swf or .flv to send an email when video is played?
I'm trying to figure out how to get the name of the current file being played using a flash 8 video player (custom). Here's the code im using :
[Code].....
How does flash know which video is currently being played? Basically I want to set it up so that there is a 'activeVideo' varible that updates based on what video is currently being played.
I have created a web gallery using Photoshop CS2 to allow my clients to proof their images. From this gallery I want to allow them to flag images they like then submit the selections to me via email.Currently they are using the gallery just to view the images. There is not a way to mark the images or to submit them via email. The clients have to manually write down the file names, type and email, and send it to me.
1. Can the function of selection boxes be added to the web gallery? I do not own the full flash program.
2. Can the file names for the selected images be put into an email to me using a submit button?
I have a Games website named and I would like to add a possibility to take a screenshot of the played game. For example, a player made a record on Crush the castle game and want to save a screenshot of this or why not send it to us to be a on record tab.Other exemple, for girl games, you would like to save or send a picture of your dress girl game.
I create FLVs and F4Vs and then use CS4 to create an SWF to stream them. Everything works well from my hard drive. I upload all the files to a server, the skin appears, but a green animated bar just scrolls endlessly - which I believe means the FLV/F4V is not loading. I try this on about 5 different servers and get the same problem on each - so I'm not sure I can call my hosting service and request "changing the mime-type" will solve the problem.
The path to the video appears to be relative - that is, I can copy my exported files to any folder on my local drive and the video plays. Its just when I upload it that it stops working.
I've loaded a video into the FLVPlayback component and I'm looking for a way to get the total time and the time played so far and output them to two text fields so the end result would look something like "00:12/00:50".
Right now I'm defining the video by the components inspector but I'm eventually hoping to define this bit by actionscript as well.
I have been having a serious issue with custom video where flash is saying that the amount of the video so far played is MORE than the amount that it has downloaded, which is clearly impossible. This results in various problems, such as the playhead (scrubber) moving past the end of the loader bar. I posted a simple demo that displays the amount loaded and the amount played in text fields. You can see it at: [URL][Code]...

This results in various problems, such as the playhead (scrubber) moving past the end of the loader bar.I posted a simple demo that displays the amount loaded and the amount played in text fields. You can see it at: URL...[code]I encoded the video at a high rate so that it would download slowly. It may not playback smoothly, which I am not concerned about. What I am concerned about is the numbers below the video what are derived from ns.bytesLoaded and ns.time. If you watch it for a bit, the amount played should exceed the amount loaded.
I double checked the video duration and the bytestotal that flash is reporting and they are correct. I don't know of any way to check the accuracy of bytesloaded. If your internet connection is super fast, you may not see the issue - it only occurs when it is playing back faster than it is downloading - if this is the case, you may need to throttle your speed down, or start downloading a large file while you are watching this demo in order to see the issue. But this is a serious issue and means that building custom video interfaces with loadbars and playheads is impossible!
Recently i had a problem with my flash player after installing a Windows Update (not sure if its related). Movies played on sites like YouTube became out of sync and pixelated. Im not exactly sure how to explain this, so i uploaded a few pictures of the issue.
[URL] The sound is normal and the only thing affected if the video. If is there is any sudden movement in the video, it will distort the image. using v10.2 and am on Win7 x64. Viewing the video's in Firefox. I had the same issue on my older computer a while back using Vista x64 in both Firefox and IE. The problem on my older computer was resolved by simply restarting the computer. But this time that didnt work. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling flash, and restarted multiple times
I have a flash header that was never completed because the guy I hired took people's money and ran. So now I even wonder if what he said could work with my flash header is true or not. But, usually there is always a way to make it work.I have a flash header that does two important things: 1) Upon entering the site, it loads and plays an audio track 2) Makes an animal noise when you hover over each animal menu item. (not sure if I'm able to give a link to it or not on here. If I able to and someone would like to see it let me know)I want to know if my flash header can support the following addionalunctionality/changes:1) Currently, it loads everytime a page is selected. I only want it to load the one time of entering the site because the audio gets annoying. Set a cookie maybe?2) But, I do not want to turn the audio off completely because I still want the hover over each menu item sound.
3) Have a link on it to allow them to select to turn on / off the sound completely. It currently has that, but only for the current page. Once you select another page, the audio is back to on.4) Lastlly, is there a way for it to detect that someone doesn't support flash and to display an html version of it? And can flash create a html version from my fla file?I don't know much about flash (but am learning) so I'm not sure if I'll be able to do this myself. However, I want to find out if my flash header will even work this way before I invest the time learning it just for these changes. I know it will be pretty deep with script code, but I'm hoping I could find base code already available for these features.
i have 2 movie clip in different layer but in the same frame (e.g 0 to 10). i have: 1st movie clip contains a red circle that will animate from left to right. 2nd movie clip contains a blue circle that will animate from right to left. i have 2 square buttons (a green and black) that will control the two movie. all i want to do is if i press black square button the 1st movie will play but not the 2nd movie even though they are in the same frame?
and yes i want the 1st/2nd movie to stay after the either of two movie played that's why i put them in the same frame size.
I'm trying to create a flash video that will incorporate powerpoint-like slides along with video footage. So for instance I will have slide 1 (graphic) - slide 2 (video clip) - slide 3 (text). I have used CS4 before for one of my classes but that was a little while ago, and I feel like I'm starting over again. When I import the first graphic (.png), is there an option to have it resize to fit the stage?
Internet Explorer will not display flash video in stand alone video players, similar to the one at: [URL] The other embedded flash content is viewable. In the IE8 tools, manage add on's, Adobe Flash Player is not listed.I've also noticed that when I access the Adobe Flash Settings manager, I can not uncheck "hardware acceleration".Windows XP Home Service Pack 2 is the operating system.
I imported an avi video to flash, converted it to flv with Adobe media encoder, and did some symbol animation on top of it.How do I export an avi video so that the video I imported is actually playing, and not just to see the skin and flv icon? When I test the video it makes it in swf form and I'd rather not convert it any further and mess up it's quality. Is it possible to view the video in work space while animating symbols over it (I kinda did it by heart)?
I am currently working on a flash website that has several flv videos on it. Since the website layout has a slight tilt, I have had to transform the videos to slightly tilt as well. The problem that I am having is that when I do this the image becomes very pixelated and the edges of the video become jagged. I have somewhat fixed the edges issue by making a mask around it but i really dont know how to make the resolution better, or what causes it to loose resolution when slightly transformed. The size of the videos is the same as encoded. All I do is tilt them upwards on the right side a bit.
I'm porting in an .flv to Flash for the first time. I created the .flv from an .MP4 using Media Encoder CS5, and then opened a new Actionscript 3 .fla in Flash Professional CS5, clicked File > Import > Import Video. Then selected 'Load external video with playback component'. Everything seems to have imported fine, but when I publish the SWF and import it via Dreamweaver CS5 and preview the page, the video is there, but the controls are not. There's just a white box where the controls should be. Also, the video is out of sync with the audio, which I believe is a problem with Media Encoder, not Flash.
Here are some links:
The page that I'm working on (video at the bottom of the page)
I'm currently working on a website design. The idea is a big chromakeyed interactive video in Flash. The size of the video is 1080 (width) x 1500 (height) pixels.I've exported the video in After Effects with the standard settings for flash (File>Export>Adobe Flash Player(SWF)). Now when I import the video in Flash and preview the file, the video plays in a slower speed and it's not playing smooth at all...Is the video too big? Is there a maximum video-size to keep the video running correct in Flash? Is it something else that causes this problem..?
With the Flash Player that comes with CS3 and on my PC XP Pro laptop.I want the player controls to appear at the _bottom_ of the video not on top of the video and not under (behind) the video.
- my video is 640 x 480 - so I modified the "properties" tab at the bottom of the screen to 640x480... (it was 550x400) - but that just makes everything larger when I click File > Publish - and then look at the video in Internet Explorer... the Player Controls are still _On Top_ of the video.
I guess I need to learn how to
- Make the stage bigger - Position the Player controls below the actual video
I have created animated presentations (since now, I have just videos) for my seminars at the university with cinema 4D and I added some effects with After Effects (CS5). Now, I want to build an interactive presentation. That means:
- The (video projector) presentation starts with a video in a loop.
- When I click a button on the mouse/keyboard, the video finishes the loop until the end and
