Professional :: Transistion - Fading From One Page To Another Using Flash Pro?

I have created a flash pro cs5 movie with several key frames in and as the movie plays, it moves onto the next keyframe - each keyframe uses the same template but with a different picture in each. Also each keyframe has buttons in of which are all identical as well and stay in the same place as the movie plays.
As the movie plays and the picture in each keyframe changes I want each one to fade out then in to the next picture. I can see that you can do this in Flash Catalyst but can this be done in Flash Pro? I can not see how I can import the swf file into catalyst then fade each of the pictures which is tied up in a single swf file?

I'm trying to play 2 external flash movies. its already running ok but i need the scene to be somewhat to gradually become transparent so that the timebased scene2 will comeout to of the screen.

I've read through several tutorials but I must be doing something wrong on this. I'm using Adobe Flash Pro CS4. I am trying to create a short clip that fades text in over a bacground video. When I create a motion tween on the text track, I'm generating an error and the background video is no longer visible in the preview. Instead, I see the text over the stage background color. It is as if the background video track has switched to wireframe. Here are the steps I've followed:
1. Created Flash File (ActionScript 3.0).
2. Imported Video into the State background layer - it appears as a black image in the it previews fine at that point
3. Created new layer for text and placed text - it previews fine at this point, text is overlaying video
4. I right click on the text block and choose convert to symbol.
5. Next with the play head on the first frame and the Text layer selected I choose Create Motion Tween. I have a site where all the pages have a common SWF embedded at the top (Nav and banner), but the rest of the page is HTML.Everything is working fine, but I'm finding the 'independence' between the HTML and Flash is making for some sloppy transitions from page to page.I was expecting the SWF to be delayed, at least for the first page visit(and I have a preload routine inside the swf to make it's delay and appearance a bit more visually pleasant), but was surprised to sometimes find the SWF appearing and playing while the HTML content was delayed (resulting in a SWF floating in black).What I'm wondering is if there's a way I can do some sort of preload on my index page.BUT, not the standard one that I'm sure everyone would suggest (like the javascript image 'preload', or the newer 'css visibility' preload trick). The problem with the standard one is that it doesn't check to see if everything is loaded.What I'm after is a routine on my index page that invisibly loads some of the elements from my inner pages (common swf, maybe some of the images) and WAITS until it's done before moving to the inner pages (displaying the company logo and/or a load status in the meantime).Many people would suggest a preloader inside the common SWF on my inner pages (which I have), but the problem with that on its own is that it doesn't stop the HTML from displaying.
I'm trying to figure out a way to do a preloader (like those in a SWF, which loops until everything is loaded) that controls both the SWF AND the HTML.Recently, I found that you can use one swf to preload another, which would be a potential solution, as I could make an SWF on the index page whose sole purpose is to load (invisibly) the common SWF, displaying the load status and then loading an inner html page once it's done.Problem is, I have bee having trouble finding the coding for that, as most searches for preloaders end up being about standard preloaders, where it's monitoring the same SWF that the code is on, as opposed to controlling a second, external SWF.Can someone point me to or provide me with the proper coding/procedure for a preloader that controlls a second external swf or give me a better solution?

I was taught to make a fading "slide show" in Flash CS3 using movie clips, key frames, and alpha channels. Is there a simpler way? I have a project with over 40 "slides." I am aware of some web sites like slide.com but they seem to include ads which I don't want on a professional site. Any suggestions on how to create a slide show like this one more quickly than with tweening movie clips? (I do have CS4 now.)[URL]

I want to create a swf of 5 photos that fade into each other. For example, black background, first photo fades up from alpha 0 to alpha 100 in one second, stays on screen for 4 seconds, then fades back to alpha 0 while the next photo fades up, etc, then the 5th photo fades back into the 1st photo and it loops.
What's the best, easiest way to accomplish this with cs4?
Also, if the jpgs are 980 x650 pixels and approx. 70 kb apiece, will I need a preloader if I'm going to use the swf as a header to my site? If so, is there a simple, plug n play preloader I can use?

I have almost completed my first Flash project at work, after numerous losses of sanity, blood, sweat and tears. Anyhow I am on the last step and can see the end in site.
I have a movie within the webpage where text fades in. There are three components to the section; static text, a button and text that is linked via another movie file. When the text fades in each of the elements mentioned fade in at different times/rates. What should be looking at? I think that all the frame rates should be the same? Should I combine them all into one and make the fade easier to work with?

I'm trying to make a program that's meant for graphics tablets in AS3. So far I can allow the user to draw a line across the stage so that they know where their moving their pen around. However I want this line to only be temporary, and so the graphics.Clear() method is called to remove it.
I'd like this to look a lot better however, as the line just instantly disappears. Does anyone know how I could add code that makes the line fade out to 0 alpha first before I call the clear command?

I can't work out why - but when I try to fade out some text (by calling fadeoutSecondText), the text fades out, and then immediately fades back in. Fading in and out struggle against each other, resulting in rapidly flashing text!

I am completely new to Flash and have been learning about alpha tweening to fade one .jpg image (of a customer's happy comment) to another. This works fine if I only have a small number of comments, but modifying each and every stage of the transitions would be a huge task if I have more than a handful of comments to deal with. Is there some way to set the transition and then apply that transition to all images? That way, I would only have to amend the transition once and it would make no difference whether I had 2 or 200 images to fade in and out of.

just another CS4 newbie in a panic about the "new skool" tweening. I'm sure that I'm going to absolutely love it once it all sinks in, but at the moment, there are a few things that strike me as odd and I'm looking for guidance... Something I noticed last night that was different in terms of workflow was animating consecutive objects. Imagine the following simple storyboard: - a photo appears on the screen and gradually grows in size while fading out - after that photo has completely faded out, a new photo appears on the screen and grows in size while fading out.
Now, "old skool" I would have economized my timeline real-estate by having both of these images on the same layer. Since they are not visible at the same time, you can clear (delete) the first image and drop in the second image and everything is peachy. I found that this was not the case in CS4. I have a project for a site that sells fishing lures.I want to have an animated index page before moving on to the home page. My idea is to have a boat sitting on a pond fishing lines in the water, when a fish jumps out of the water, the water ripples, the next time you see the fish it's got a hook in it mouth and jumping out of the water.how do I go about it? How to I create the water rippling? I think with the fish I can do easily enough with it jumping on and off stage. Would I do the water with shape tweens?

I have uploaded http pages with flash but unable to see it on internet.I had the same problem before but when I reduced the size of flash file, it started show on the net.However, this time it does not work.The files I uploaded were http, flash, swf, scripts.The size of flash is 127kb and swf is 4kb.

I prepared a movie and put into my aspx page and there is a button on this movie which navigates to another aspx page. It has to use querystring information to decide which page to go.
-The page which i put my flash movie is : entry.aspx
-If the page is : entry.aspx?lang=tr : it will go to the turkish page on button click, (url : "mturkish.aspx")

I am designing a website in flash CS3 using Action script 2.0 not 3.0 and Flash Player 8. The architecture I used is as follows:I have a menu/main page which loads the swf files of other flash pages.I have a particular flash chatroom page which is loaded by the main page that I would like to be able to link an web address (example url...) directly too that particular sub flash page ...rather than going to the main.swf which is what the original web address uses.
Technically I know I could link a web address to the chatroom.swf file, but then it would estetically look incomplete since the theme/design of the website is in the main.swf which calls the chatroom.swf.Thus my question is: is there a way to assign the web address to the chatroom.swf inside the main.swf.I would like to go directly to the chatroom without clicking chatroom on the main.swf menu.

I'm planning to add a page to my site that would have sample music from a variety of artists. There would be several sentances about the musician, then a free Flash mp3 player I'm using. I'm planning at least a dozen of these on the page. I didn't anticipate any problems, but a page where I had done something similar suddenly stopped working. Nothing I've tried will fix it. I don't want to go ahead until I find out if there are details I need to know about having multiple Flash objects on a page.
