Professional :: Add Roundness To A Square's Corners?
Aug 23, 2009
I created a square using the rectangle tool, there are a few options on how to change it in the properties panel, however I don't see anything allowing to to round the corners of it. How do I do that? (I'm using Adobe Flash CS4 by the way.
Is it possible to round the corners of a flash stage, so that when I insert the SWF into dreamweaver, it inserts more of an oval instead of a rectangle?
In my movie I have a round drawing object, which I wish to view enlarged (about 2000% of original size). While editing it looks fine and round but after publishing all the roundness is lost and instead I get visible angles. I attach 2 images to visualize, one from the editing stage and the other after publishing. Is there any way I can get around that strange effect? I created the image from some text i "broke apart" to a drawing object. Attachments: edit.png (2.5 K) published.png (1.3 K)
I have this game, and some levels have a moving square as the player, you move the square with your arrow keys.... I want to have an enemy square that chases the player square.... They only chased mario when you didn't look at them? Kinda like that...... but in this regards:
I only want the enemy square to chase the player square when the player square moves.... soo say the player square moves 5 pixels per movement (know how to do all that), I want the enemy square to move when the player square moves..... towards the player square at like 7 pixels per movement..... so eventually you won't be able to avoid the enemy square....
if I set the stage to be 800 px X 800 px, it does not appear square, neither does holding shift + drawing a rectangle. However, drawing an oval and holding shift seems to create a circle(though it could be I can't notice it because it's too small). Is there some way to make these appear square?
1 is the main body of the website, and the other file has hundreds of layers that each contain some sort of code that imports XML and JPG images to create a slideshow. Now, I have created a grey square and then on playing of it I want the square to be replaced by this Slideshow, but still be able to apply some motion tweens like Fading etc in the main body.
I recently purchased a new Acer notebook computer for my business travel in late March 2011. The machine is running Windows 7 64bit OS and had IE8 64bit installed. I installed IE9 upon receipt of an update notice from Microsoft and downloaded Adobe Flash Player 'Square'. I am unable to view any internet video on news websites (ie: CNN, Fox, MSNBC, etc). The screen is completely blank, but does contain the audio. I do receive video for any 'You Tube' file I have attempted. I have removed and reinstalled both IE9 and Flash 'Square' multiple times after attempting various 'fix' I have found on line, but the problem persists and I cannot view video content. This is forcing me to use 'Chrome' when using this machine.
When i try and draw anything like a square or a line it is green. Also when i try and fill naything it doesnt work!!!! It is quite important that i get it fixed because i need to use flash for an assesment that is due in next week!!!
I have one picture imported into flash cs4 and would like to make a rectangle box which should be transparent. Finally I will save it as .swf file for later use. But the box should be transparent (without any background). How can I do that?
while I use litterally any tool, oval, pencil, paint brush, anything - a blue square apears around the object. in a simple click on the blank it disapears- thouhgh it drtives me nutts. are any of you familiar with that? I assume I messed around with the settings for it to happen.
I would like to change backgroundColor of an drawn object(square) by mouseover. I acutally found the function for mouseover in action scripts but BackgroundColor("#ccc") does not work.
Inside movieClip container, there are colored buttons on layer1 and on layer2 there is movieClip square which covers the buttons. I want to use the color efffects and blending options of movieClip square to make layer 1 alpha. There are some blending options called alpha, difference, lighten and substract but Im not getting the right combinations. I want to make layer1 alpha only by using layer2.
I'm using Flash builder, with flex 4 sdk, I'm trying to create a DateField in which the TextInput component has rounded corners, this is my code, for some reason it doesn't work, anyone knows why?
Using CSS, I can set the corner radius of the top corners of a tab in a tabnavigator: <mx:Style> .tabstyle { corner-radius: 10; } </mx:Style> <mx:TabNavigator tabStyleName="tabstyle" /> However, I also want the bottom corners to have a radius.
When I use <s:Rect> to create a rectangle, I use radiusX to get rounded corners. Problem is all are the same roundedness. Is there something similar to Rect that lets me control the radius for each corner separately? If not, what's the best way to create this from scratch? graphics library or what?
I'm trying to get plain straight corners on a rectangel. I have been drawing a rectangle or even before drawing one, selecting the little tool in the lower left and I put in a value of 0, but as soon as I draw anything it rounds up again. How do I get rid of this problem??
I need to draw a box with rounded corners. I can't get a hang of it. I want to draw it from the following variables: boxwidth = 200; boxheight = 200; radius = 5; How do I draw this? You should see the artwork I have (by mistake) created while trying to get it right.
I am working on a draggable triangle in AS3 and the corners must be interactive. To each corner a bitmap will be attached (in my example for now it's just a name of a city). When dragging a specific corner, the bitmap/cityname (attached to it) should fade in from 0 to 100 alpha. If the bitmap/cityname won't reach 100 of alpha, when Mouse Up, then it should fade back out to 0 opacity. If it does reach 100 alpha when Mouse Up, then it should stay that way. However, if another corner is dragged, then the cityname which is currently at 100 opacity should fade out again. Well I've got the draggable triangle figured, I've got the corners citynames appearing and disappearing when they don't reach 100 alpha. What I can't get to figure out is the last bit - the cityname currently at 100 opacity fading back out to 0 when a different corner is dragged. Hope it's at least a little understandable. I'm not sure my code is perfect (this is my first time in AS3) so don't mind if something is not the way.[code]
i'm in the middle of attempting to write my own collision detection algorithm because the built in 'hitTestObject' function seems to be incredibly inaccurate (it's registering 'hits' when the objects are still a considerable distance from each other).I need to be able to calculate the position of each of the 4 corners of a rectangle, based on its rotation. Obviously one of the corners will simply be the rectangle's x and y coordinates. I have made a little test program to make sure I am calculating the positions of the corners accurately - it works when the rectangle is rotated to 0, 90, 180 and 270 degrees, but produces strange results for any other angles.[code]
I've created a rectangle in catalyst and under the "properties" panel, all I can see is Corners 10 for the rectangle. Is there a way to individually define each corner similar to CSS. I can't see any source code view in catalyst to enable me to fine tune it for each of the 4 corners. How do I specify the roundedness of each corner separately?
I want to round specific corners of buttons to create something like mx.controls.ButtonBar. But I cannot figure out how ButtonBar does this even after looking at its source. I thought the focusRoundedCorners css property was the answer but that applies only to drawing the button's focus box.
I'm making a flex 3.5a/air2 application and I've made a popup window but I can't seem to get its bottom corners rounded. Setting cornerRadius seems to only affect the top corners. There doesn't seem to be a roundedBottomCorners property like there is for panels, and adding a controlbar with a cornerRadius also has no effect.
I rotating some bitmap data in AS3. When ever I start rotating the bitmap the corners get cut off. I'm trying figure out what size the bitmap should be to fit the newly rotated bitmap.
I have a bookmarklet that has rounded corners. When using the bookmarklet over the top of a flash website and even a pdf document (I think) etc. Rounded corners appear as transparent squares.
