View 3 RepliesI'm trying to change the color of a textBox via xml but i'm stuck with this code:
ActionScript Code:
xmlLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, loadXML);
function loadXML(e:Event):void {
xmlData=new XML(e.target.data);
var titleColor:Color=xmlData.appTitle.titleColor.text();
sTitle.textColor = titleColor.toString();
}
What I am trying to do is to have the button color change to a different color when it is on the page. The color only changes when I roll over it or hit it. Once I am on the page it changes back to the color it is on the up state.
View 1 RepliesHow is it done? All I've seen on the web is how to change the color. Well how about going back. I'm talking about a MC with many colors. I can't just change back to a single hexadecimal color.
I can accomplish the change as it passes over a frame, but I can't get it to change back.
In the frame is this:
Code:
cHurtColor = new Color(_root.compMC);
cHurtColor.setRGB(0x00FF33);
How to change the image or a mc color to black and white color?

View 6 RepliesI am looking for a way to change stroke color via AS3. The objects I would like to change are created with flash professional. They do have a fill. I just want to change the stroke color and not the fill color... is this possible? ... or am I stuck removing all fills and using a filter?

i have a button, with instance name lightblue_color. I am assigning a color to its color field like this: lightblue_color.transform.colorTransform.color = 0x65ffff; then i am adding an eventlistener to the button like this: lightblue_color.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, ChangeColor); Then, in the function: public function ChangeColor(evnt:MouseEvent):void {trace(evnt.target.transform.colorTransform.color);} It prints 0. Why is that? Shouldn't it print 0x65ffff or do i need to do some type conversions?
View 2 RepliesI have a moviclip and I want to change its background color on mouse over event. I think that I have to use ColorTransform, but I've not understood how to use it, I've not understood how the multipiers and offsets work. At beginning the background is #000010, I want to change it to #000030. The moviecip's instance name is borse_mc, how to apply the change to it?

Why is it that I can never change a vector object's color? I mean I would think it'd be as simple as changing the fill color but that does nothing.
And why is it that copying and pasting vector objects from illustrator very inconsistent? Sometimes I get the exact copy, and other times their's three anchor points missing, very much screwing up the look of the object. Also, when I import a vector png image made in photoshop to flash, the fill is hollow at times.
I'm using a radio button component in CS4.Just wondering how to chnage the font color in the label?I tried using selectRB.value = 0xFFFFFF;
View 3 RepliesI am working on a project that some one else created. There were very orgainized, but my question is this: There is a starburst shape, and in the property inspector it is labeling as yellow burst, and that's how it shows in the library. But one instance of it is red in the movie, and I can not find it to change or delete as they called everything dynamically. how this was done, or how I might locate this object?
View 3 RepliesSince I was unable to do this in Photoshop, I was wondering if there was a way in Flash to simply change the color of an image to a speciifc color code. The image is more or less a simple line with rounded corners. It is only composed of 1 color.
View 1 RepliesI am a rank Flash newbie, so maybe I'm missing something obvious. In InDesign or Illustrator, if I want to change every red object to blue, I can go into the color list, edit the red color to the blue values, and every instance of red in the document reflects the edit. I don't have to select each red element and pick the new blue for stroke and/or fill.
View 2 RepliesI need to create an interactive piece. It's much more involved than this but fundamentally I need to create a slider on the left side of a window that is the color spectrum. I'll put a small triangular pointer beside it that can be moved up and down beside the spectrum. I want whatever color the slider is next to to show up in a symbol on the right. I've attached a simple image that illustrates it. So to restate it again, I'd slide the triangular symbol up and down beside the spectrum gradient on the left and whatever color it is pointing to would just show up in the symbol on the right, real time.
View 2 RepliesI have an aplication which brings up an image for editing in flash. Here is what happens. I click on A tool and insert 2 text boxes on the image and type something. Then I click on the Arrow tool and double click on text in Text box 1 to select it. Then try to change the font color from the font menu icon. It does not work. But after selecting the text in text box 1 and trying to change the font size from the menu seems to work fine.
View 5 RepliesI have a advanced datagrid label function like this:
private function dgFormat(item:Object, column:AdvancedDataGridColumn):String{
var v3:int = item.value1 - item.value2;
return "Total: " + v3;
}
How can I change the text color of v3 dynamically? I want it to be red if it's less than zero & black otherwise.
now i need to customize the Font, Color, and Size.. can anyone help. I've found many possible solutions but none that I know how to apply to exactly what I have already created.
AS3:
stop();
submit_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,check Answer);
[code].....
on click on "elements" i'm dynamically generating coloured boxes (all instances of the same symbol) and the colour of these boxes is applied through a colortransform. in the box there is a textfield and i want the the text to be colored according to the box color. i mean, if the box is dark the text has to be white, and viceversa.
here's the code:
Code:
var box_text:TextField = new TextField();
//textformat for black text
var dark_text:TextFormat = new TextFormat();
[Code]....
Im making a grid datatbase and wanted to know more ways to customize the text(besides color, font, size). Something like filters mabye?
