A 3D rotating picture wherein you can manually interact with it. I believe you have to take pictures of different angles of an object, then compile them in some way, then do something with Flash?
View 1 RepliesI'm making a small Flash game, which is rotating rings in an image to create a coherent picture. Think of the puzzles in Assassins Creed.I have three scenes set up, one with the puzzle, one with a fade to white transition, and one with a congratulatory screen.
I have this code to check if the orientation of the rings match, but I'm really new to actionscript so I'm not sure if it's right or not.

Unfortunately it keeps playing through the movie and not giving the player time to solve the puzzle.

By pushing I mean having an image come in from the left (or right) and place itself on top of the other (or pushing the other out of view). I want to create a series of rotating movies, ad style that are a bit of animation accompanied by music. All of the movies are loading into a dummy movie which works fine. My problem is this, I want to have it so that if the user turns the music off in any of the external movies that are feeding into level 0, that the music off/on setting will carry over to the movies which follow.
Now I'm assuming that this can be done w/ variables but I'm not quite sure of the syntax.

That will receive picture name as a parameter and load it into the frame, also can specify some effects on the picture with parameters too. By doing this, we just create a flash at once and use it manytimes with different pictures. We can even let it load frame as a picture file, so we can change frame by some parameters too. It will be good with user who doesn't know flash. And we doesn't need to modify the flash file when they need to update the picture in the frame.

The path of the images would look like a flat oval, and as the images came to the forefront, they would be at full scale, have the lowest position (high _y), have the highest depth (appear in front of everything else) and be dead center _x.
As they slide left or right, they would reduce everything by a relative 50% to the final shift (scale, _y, and depth) until they got to the end, moving in an upward arc following the oval path. When they got to the end, and kept rotating beyond (move in the opposite _x. but appear to follow the flow of the arc), continuing to decrease in scale, _y, and depth.
In a rails project how would I create a picture slideshow? It could be generated as flash or use prototype or something else. I just want a series of images (as a sub-part of a web page, not be the whole page) to fade into each other, and to advance manually if clicked. It would be nice if I could do things like slowly zoom into the images. I imagine there must be a plugin or something to handle this?
View 1 RepliesI have a banner that I'm creating, it has 5 images that rotate via motion tweening. I've created an invisibile button (and also attempted to create multiple buttons) so that when you click on a specific image it will bring you to that URL. So far I have only gotten it to work for the final URL. No matter which image I click on, it only brings up that last URL. Here is my code:

I'm trying to rotate a symbol while keeping the shape and proportions locked, but even when using Free Transform, my shapes skew (from rectangles to rhombuses to squares).I'd like to keep the lines straight and parallel.Locking the height and width with the link tool doesn't seem to make a difference.Does anyone know how to rotate shapes without the automatic re-proportioning?

I'm new to Flash and I'm having trouble rotating my mc 360 degrees using the 3D Rotation Tool. I can rotate it 180 degrees, right side coming forward, but when I attempt to rotate it back to its original position, it doesn't continue the rotation in the same direction (right side coming forward). So instead of apearing to rotate completely, it looks like it rotates half way, stops, and rotates back (left side comes forwards). Probably an easy solution, but as I said, I'm new.
View 9 RepliesI'm looking for a program that makes Flash slideshows without needing Flash experience, a nice drag-drop-like interface. The reason is I am making a website, where the top banner will be a rotating slideshow that the client will need to be able to update regularly. I've tried a variety of programs but run into the same issue: I need each slide in the show to have the photo on one side, with text on the other (much like the slideshow on [URL] page). But in most programs, the photo always takes up the entire slide and text can only go over the photo with very few formatting options.

I would like it to gradually rotate by 90 degrees and scale by 150%, but I can't figure out how to get a motion tween to do it and am having to do it manually frame by frame. I tried manually on the timeline, by the code... but no results. I would expect a PERFECT circle!
