Unable To Connect To Network

I just installed FMS 4.5 w/ built in apache on Win2008R2 - accepting all defaults. Samples streams play fine when playing on the server. I copied the sample directory and put on a client on the network. I modified the stream URL using the server's IP address. I also modified the manifest files so that localhost was replaced with the server's IP. When I attempt to view in the sample player I get the following:

I'm FMS beginner (server side newbie in general)... I installed FMS 3.5 (Development) on my computer which is inside of local network. Now I try to connect to rtmp service from another machine in same network using my computer's IP as I used to while connecting to my apache, but it is worthless. Everything works fine on my computer.

We've just installed Flash Media Server 4 to host video for a new client. We've gotten it to serve up video to the public and ourselves (inside our own network), but the problem is our client cannot view the videos. They keep getting a "can't connect to the network" message.Does anyone know of how we should troubleshoot this? The videos are each about 90 minutes long, and for right now, there are six of them, which is why we wanted to stream instead of embedding them.

is there a way to connect a Video object to a webcam installed on another computer in the Network, without setting up a streaming server?The machines can have fixed IPs and whatever, but I'm limited to LAN/WAN technology. Using AIR is possible.

When using the bone tool, I have been fairly successful in working with either a shape or a selection of symbols. However, I am unable to connect a shape to a symbol. Is this possible with the bone tool or am I barking up the wrong tree? If not, is there some sort of work-around when part of the animation is constructed from symbols and part is constructed from shapes?

I have been trying to get my live feed up and running for friends but they are unale to view it. I have FMS 4 with FMLE 3.2 on Win7. Under the fms url i have 'rtmp://localhost/live' and Stream name is 'livestream' I can view the stream just fine from my computer on which i am running both FMS and FMLE. but when i put the html file on my website, my friends just see the empty swfplayer. You can view it at[URL]. I was trying to figure out what the problem was so i copied the swf code 6 times with different settings but nothing worked. on my computer, only the first swf player works and im guessing that is because its localhost.

I have installed Adobe FMS 3.5 on an server and inside "applications" folder I have created a new folder say "abc" and restart the FMS service, now when I try to connect to it from Flash using nectconnection it does not get connected and in netstatus event handler there are 2 messages: NetConnection.Connect.Rejected NetConnection.Connect.Closed Although Flash is connecting to 2 folders "live" and "vod" which were created there by default with installation on FMS. I am not able to figure out why it is happening.

I'm trying to connect to a very simple .NET WCF web service (created in .NET 4.0) within Flash Builder Burrito and the process hangs on "Introspecting the service". I get no errors -- it just hangs. The web service is on my local network, although not on my local machine.

I have been reading about Flash VOIP capabilities. I wonder if flash i able directly to connect to VOIP server ex. Asterisk [URL].. or do I need The Adobe Flash Media Server?

I am building an AIR application where I receive UDP messages from Max/MSP using the Socket class. When testing in an internal loopback environment ( messages sent from 127.0.0.1 at port 7400 ) I can see the UDP messages being sent, as in: I can receive the messages I'm broadcasting in Max/MSP by listening to port 7400.However, the AIR app throws IO errors when trying to connect ( via the Socket class, using Socket.connect ) to aforementioned IP and port and I for the life of me can't find out why the app has no access to the internal loopback sending UTP ( if for instance, I start a Apache server at the same IP but at different port, the Socket class connects immediately to that IP - it won't receive data of course, but at least it can establish a connection )I am thinking the problem lies outside of the AS app and is an internal networking issue, I'd like to know if someone has experienced a similar error ( I'm on OS X, btw ) as I don't think it's a security sandbox error ( as the event isn't thrown, and the application type is trusted ).

I have the following scenario:
One application JEE / Flex 4 running on a tomcat, inside my Flex layer I have a iFrame passing a url to an ip of my internal network (http:url....) which is another application running within an industrial PLC.When access this app from within my internal network works fine, but when I try to access this iFrame to an external network in my home for example have a timeout error onhttp:[url].........
I believe this error occurs because the flex client is trying to run this url as I was in a internal network.Is there any way to run this url from an external network?

I'm making a program in flash builder 4.5 using WebOrb 4 (which is fantastic, I might add). When I go to deploy, however, it gives me this error:

I am trying to debug a Flash Web Application using Flash Builder 4. However, I keep getting this error:Unable to connect to the application to fetch profile data. try profiling the application again.I am using Internet Explorer 8 (the same problem also occurs with Internet Explorer 7) with Adobe Flash Player 10.1.102.64 (the Debug Player). In other words, I installed the latest of everything.For my launch configuration, I have used the path to an HTML file. This works fine for debugging but does not seem to work for profiling.

UPDATE: Now I've moved the AMFConnection var declaration to outside the functions in Main, and commented out some trace() commands, and now it gives new errors:

I'm trying to connect to AMFPHP on a server (with Flash AS3), and the swf borks when it reaches the .connect() stage. To make things easier (?) and more reusable (?), I've put all the NetConnection mechanics into a separate class, AMFConnection, which I call from the Main document class like this (details changed):

AMFConnection actually starts the connection and calls the AMFPHP service with the function gogogo(), and here's where the connect() NetConnection function just won't work. Here's the main section of the AMFConncection class

It also fails to display the stage, instead showing the loading dots. Now, eventually I'm going to move this application to the same server as the AMFPHP service, but even when I try it there with a relative url, instead of an absolute one, it still breaks down at connect(). I work with Flash Pro allmost 11 hours per day and every while i get a error which messes up everything. Approximetly i get this after about 2-3 hours withevery project.After i get this error there is no chance to test movies afterwards.I see a fast flash of the loader window but it dissapears so fast i cant even really see if it is loader.

We recently upgraded our network to Leopard and Flash to CS3,and since then, I can't publish to a network drive.The reason I need to do this is that we're on a network where all our project files are on the server, and we work directly from the server. With previous versions of Flash and the system, I was able to work on a Flash file on the server and publish or test to the same place. Now I need to copy my flash file to my local
computer in order to publish or test.If I try, I get this error: "Error creating Flash movie file.Be sure the destination file is not locked or on a locked drive.Also, check that the file name is not too long." Neither of those are the case.

I've recently started using FDT, for a while I was using FlashDevelop, it had a really handy feature in Compiler options where you can set UseNetworkServices to false which would stop the compiled swf from connecting to the internet and became very useful for running standalone flash apps without security warnings when loading in an external xml file etc.

I would like to list all network shares but have no idea where to even begin my search, I assume that it has something to do with Samba etc., but really some guidance would be very useful.
I will be using Adobe AIR 2.5 - so I assume I have access to that sort of information, though I will be using the PlayBook from BlackBerry to access the network which has a full AIR implementation.

Since my application contains SWC files which were compiled by another developer, I cannot directly access the ActionScript which creates the URL requests and RTMP connections.

I'm having same inconvenience while integrating YuMe Ads Module in my project. YuMe's documentation is really bad & pretty confusing. Here Now I have done some manipulations with code in AS2 based player.
I was trying to run it locally while connected to internet so it may load ads from the online source defined. But it does not load anything. I have also made the controls btns hidden, as i dont need them. I dont know if I just need to upload these files on web server and test it online to get it working. Not Sure.

I have a SWF that I am running on a kiosk and the Actionscript is calling a PHP script residing on an internal IP address. As everyone always says, it runs great with the IDE, however when I publish this file and run it, I get nothing. I cannot even output errors and such into a textfield. I'm totally baffled as to how I can debug this.

im testing out some AS3 and working on my first preloader. Ive run into the file access problem and looked about for a while and found that locally I can get files to load with the compiler flag -network=off. To put this online would I have to do a compile with the network on but with a Security.allowDomain("myDomain") line. Would this then work online so long as all the required files are in the same place.
