I'm using swfobject to inject my swf. My SWF basically initiates a webcam and prompts the user for access to the cam. Problem is whenever I center align the div that contains the swf object the Allow/Deny button seems to be unresponsive/not clickable. It's the oddest thing.
View 1 RepliesI have a parent swf called Main.swf that loads a child Registration.swf via a regular loader class then adds it to the stage. This child has a webcam function that captures an image but before that happens it prompts the user for permission to allow the webcam to be turned on. The problem I'm having is that in my IDE the prompt works like a charm and continues through to capturing image data. When I plop the files on a live server it fails. A friend recommended that it's most likely an issue with how I'm requesting permission from the child, so instead I'm calling an event to the parent telling IT to prompt and still no luck. Having the same issues. Note: The parent .swf was published as Player 9 and the child is in Player 10. I had to do it this way because each package has dependencies that require it.
View 1 RepliesIn my CS4 flash document I have created a media gallery. It's a very simple interface that has mouse overs on thumbnail pictures, and then the larger picture will fadeUP in the center of the document. (With use of framelabels in the timeline).
In the same document, I want the user to be able to click on a video thumbnail, and that video plays back in the center of the document. Several questions: If the user clicks on the thumbnail "onrelease," the time line goes to the player, is it possible to stream this video from a youtube clip into my media player on the screen? If not and I have the document in a fl4 format, is there a simple process to have this video open? (I currently do not have the document in fl4 format).

I'm trying to reproduce a POST request that was captured from WireShark using PHP. This POST request was sent by a Flash (.swf) object, so it's a little bit complicated in configuring the header.It does not print out anything in the end, so there must be something wrong with PHP code that I could not see.Here is what WireShark captured:

I am aligning my display objects in the middle. stage.stageWidth/2. for some reason, they are aligning further off to the right of the screen. I haven't altered anything but the stage width in flash. Has anyone heard of this problem? Again, I haven't done anything except widen the screen and adjust the height.
My focus point on the display object is top left. So it aligns perfectly when set to 0,0

I have a series of move clips of different heights which are all added to the stage dynamically via XML. When they are all added, I want to then align them - does flash provide a method for doing this with code? Or is the only way to do it to detect their heights and adjust them by the height difference?

I now use wmode="window" which gives much better performance in IE (previously I used "opaque").When the facebook credits popup appears, the game is now hidden as expected. How can save data into a XML file without user prompt dialog in Action Script 3?
I'm writing an simple application (with adobe flash) that runs on client PC and save user state data in XML file in same directory of app. When i use FileReference it shows a user dialog for saving file. Is there any class to save just XML data directly into XML file?
I think writing just XML (text plane) data couldn't make any security problems?
I am using a s:TextInput in Flex 4.5. It shows it's prompt text if the underlying text value is null or empty String. Does anybody know if I can make either don't show the prompt on empty String or even show a different prompt?

I have a center window and a background in my flash file. I am trying to get the center window to stay in the center of the web browser screen and get the background to expand and fill the entire web browser screen below center window layer. Sort of like this site [URL] I've currently converted the background to a movie clip and have this code.

My flash movie is 1440x900 but the area where all the important stuff happens in within 1024x768, i am trying to keep the middle in the center regardless of browers size or aspect ratio.
I can center the page but it doesn't work as i need it to. If the browers is small (1024x768) the swf is justified against the left edge, but not keeping the middle in the middle of the brower.
