Actionscript 3 :: Change The Video And Start It At The Specific Point?
Sep 19, 2011
I'm having a problem and I do not think the solution. I'm new using Flash.I have a video player and now we are implementing an HD button, the player always starts the video and 360P format and stream begins, if the user click on the HD I need to save the time of the video when it was clicked and then call another file. mp4 720P and start it at the same point that was recorded.I've tried various ways using CONNECTION.STREAM.seek(TIME); and always starts at (0), I feel that because of not being in Buffering he does not understand
Good afternoon staff. I'm having a problem and I do not think the solution. I'm new using Flash. I have a video player AS3 and now we are implementing an HD button, the player always starts the video and 360P format and stream begins, if the user click on the HD I need to save the time of the video when it was clicked and then call another file. mp4 720P and start it at the same point that was recorded. I've tried various ways using CONNECTION.STREAM.seek(TIME); and always starts at (0), I feel that because of not being in Buffering he does not understand. Can anyone help me solve this?
how to make a video start playing at a specified point in the middle of the video rather than from the beginning. Not sure if it's something that easily can be done in Dreamweaver or if it's involved with the flash settings.
I've been working on a video-centric project that requires a very specifically designed video player, which I've built from scratch -- no skin. Things were going great until I actually uploaded the video and SWF to my server and tried it out. Here's the issue: The video, which is an F4V that's been imported into Flash as an external asset -- I'm not using NetStream, nor am I using a Flash media server -- starts loading almost immediately. But when you use the custom-built scrubber bar to jump ahead in the video, it freezes up until, I presume, the video has loaded to that point, at which time the video starts again. If you open the SWF and let it sit for a few minutes, this isn't an issue -- you can jump back and forth as much as you want.
So clearly the problem here is that the video is loading from the beginning and the user can only get to a certain frame when that frame has already been loaded. But it must be possible to start loading from a specified point, right? After all, the video doesn't load all together and become available only when the whole thing is done. It starts loading at 0:00 and continues progressively. I just want to change where it starts loading by telling it not only to play at that point but to start loading at that point, too.
i have a problem about action script 3. i have a flv video and its totaltime is 6 seconds. i want to start it from 2. seconds with seekSeconds(). if i write bigger than 6 values in seekSeconds it will only play the video from head to end.Ä°f i write smaller than 6 ,it won't work.what can i write in seekSeconds() to start the video from 2 seconds?
function useParams() { var obj:Object = new Object();[code]............
Basically the code below has been designed so that a video starts at 52 seconds (rather than the beginning) when you press play. It works good right now, starts where it's supposed to, but I want to change the code so that it autoplays the video starting at 52 seconds. The problem with this though, is that when I try and set it for autoplay, the video starts at the beginning and doesn't wait for it to load to 52 seconds before it autoplays. Any input on the coding? I need it just so that the autoplay doesn't kick in until the video is loaded to the 52 second point
I am trying to use Flex Video Display as a preview player. The player is streaming the video from the server.While The buffering is not complete, if we try to drag the play head to an area beyond buffered region, the player will drag the playhead back to the current playing position. I need to implement the player like you tube video player which allows to drag to anywhere in the track even when data is not fully buffered.Is there a way for doing this.
I'd like to start playing a web-based video at a specific time, say 2 minutes in, even if the video hasn't been downloaded that far. I thought I could just "seek" to that time but that apparently only works when the video is buffered first.
So for example, this: Code: nc = new NetConnection(); nc.connect(null); ns = new NetStream(nc); ns.play("[URL]"); ns.seek(123); video.attachVideo(ns);
Seems to work if you have the video cached or buffered or whatever, but if you don't it gives the "NetStream.Seek.InvalidTime" error, which makes sense. I want to know if it's possible to start playing a video at a specific time, even if the video hasn't loaded up to that point.
Setting up a web page to progressively stream video to whoever goes to that page. We are not streaming live video but streaming a video fileon the server.
The Question: Instead of starting the video at the begining we want the video to start at some mid-point based on the time of day... (therefore emulating "joining" a live broadcast.)
I have a point which is setted at the border on a component, with changed transform point to the center of a component in order to match the component rotation.
the important part is when i try to get the point XY after rotation - they remains the same as before rotation.
how to get XY, after rotation ( changeing point.rotation property to specific degrees of rotaion )
i need to change the colour of a graphic in a specific movie in a specific frame. if i have a movie clip instance-named "sidetext" thats 15 frames long, and i want a graphic in the movie, called "letterp" to change to one of four colours that i want it to randomly at frame 10 and stay that colour uintil frame 15, how can i do this?
I am using Senocular's code to dynamically create part of a circle using curveto.I am wondering how to change the start point, like where the circle outline starts. It is currently starting on the right of the circle, I would like it to start on top. How would I go about doing that?Here is Senocular's code:
Code: // x: circles center x, y: circles center y // a1: first angle, a2: angle to draw to, r: radius
I've scanned through the forums, but can't seem to find an answer to my question. I'm trying to move (tween) a movie clip 800 pixels along the x axis (horizontally) when a every time button is clicked. I don't want to move the movie clip to the 800 "x" pixel mark. Yet, I can't seem to move the clip an additional 800 pixels whenever the button is pressed again - it keeps starting from the original spot. I am new to ActionScript...
My code is below: btnBottom1.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, playHandler); function playHandler(evt:MouseEvent):void { import fl.transitions.Tween import fl.transitions.easing.*; var twTeen:Tween = new Tween(mcbottomFlap1, 'x', Elastic.easeOut, mcbottomFlap1.x, +800, 3, true); }
How do I listen/respond to a specific cue point by name in AS3?
I have this listener which runs a function as soon as a cue point is reached, but I can't figure out how to run different functions for different cue points.
Whenever i want to declare a point with a specific value, it takes me three lines:[code]It isn't a huge amount of effort, but i'm becoming tired of doing this hundreds of times. Is there an easier way?I've tried doing something like this:[code]but that gives me an error, because it only accepts one input parameter.how can i do this simple operation in one line ?This is also important to me because i'm making a fair bit of use of static classes, (non instanced, making use of static public vars) where (afaik) i cannot run code. I want to be able to declare global point variables in a static class, without having to use some external class to set the values.
I was trying to modify the kirupa "falling snow" tutorial into a water bubbles effect which is just making it up side down. However, I was having trouble to make the bubble start from a certain point in a movie. For example, I was trying to make the bubble start from the bottom of the screen, but it didn't seem to work for me. Therefore, I was hoping if there is someone who can help me to solve the problem.
I have a project where I am bringing in one video with a cue point at the very end with the name of "End." I'm trying to have the next video play when the first video reaches that cue point. I keep getting this error: 1046: Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant: MetadataEvent. Here is the relevant code I believe:
I'm trying to have a movie clip with 4 buttons that moves to the four corners of the stage.Depending on which button is clicked, the movie clip goes to that corner.he trouble I'm running into is determining the variable start points. If the end goal is the lower right corner, it needs to be able to move there from the upper left, the lower left and the upper right. So I need to set the starting position as a variable I assume, but can't get it working.
Is there a way, or even better a class available in flash to help me round a number to a specific point. For example, I have need to have a number rounded to the nearest 15th, how would I do that?
I made a map for big shopping center in flash that uses tooltips to display the shop names when moused over. Is there anyways I can make a url(html) from any of those shops refer to its specific movie clip? I am askingt because the shops wishes that its customers or site visitors should easily see the location of the shop when they click " show shop location on map"
What I'm trying to do is make a dial-type of interface, where you click on a point on the edge of a circle and that point will rotate to another point at the top of the circle. What I can't figure out is how the make "Point B" rotate to "Point A", where "Point A" is always fixed at the top of the circle and "Point B" (and Point C and Point D, etc...) are located along different points on the edge of the circle. I'm using the tween function to rotate, so what I need to figure out is how to get the difference in the rotation between the two points.
I am trying to start a sound (intro.mp3) at a certain frame in an MC. The sound has been loaded from an external mp3 in a class already. All my other sounds work, but they are all triggered by events. Do i need to sync it to an event? Can i just use intro.start() on a specific frame in my mc? [code]
I'm trying to get the cursor to start in a specific text field a la:
Code: Selection.setFocus("inputTextInstance");
The problems:
When previewing just the swf: * The cursor doesn't blink, but the text field is selected.* After entering text, pressing backspace doesn't work, you need to press shift+backspace to delete text.
When previewing the swf embedded in html in a browser: * The cursor doesn't select the text field automatically - I need to click on the swf then hit tab, or select the text field directly.
So really, I'm looking to get it so that when the swf is loaded in html, it pops up with a blinking cursor in that text field, and I thought the setFocus would do that, but it's not working for me.
I need to produce a photo review show (basically, a photo slide show), which incorporates still photography, and numerous video clips. We will have music playing in the background (not on the timeline - in the actionscript). The full presentation will run automatically - no user interaction, and therefore, I need the background music to automatically fade out when the video starts, and then fade back in when the video ends.
1. Is Flash CS5 the correct software to do this in?
2. code to tell the sound to fade out when the video starts, and fade back in when the video ends?
I'm designing a platformer game, in which the code is all held within the character MC. I want to pause the game using something like 'delete this.onEnterFrame' as a start point to terminate code. The code layout within the character is like so:
onClipEvent (enterFrame) { ... this.onEnterFrame = function(){ //within clip event ... if(btnon == 1){ // when button pressed(on stage)) global value of 1 is true delete this.onEnterFrame; }...}}
Due to the fact its within a clip event structure, it doesn't pause it, instead it slows everything down. Would I have to construct all my code in a frame layer or can I still use an MC to terminate this?
I have a file that loads in several flvs.At certain points during the flvs, I need to trigger events on other timelines.Right now, I have them set up as listeners using enterFrame to detect playheadTime.This works, but is too hard on the CPU that is running the file.Is there something similar to VideoEvent.COMPLETE that could trigger events at other specific points in the flv?
