Actionscript 3 :: Flash Privacy Popup Dialog Is Missing 'Remember' Checkbox

I am trying to get the Privacy Settings Tab to show in our flash/flex4 video chat application we are building.I have 2 systems with latest Flash installed (currently 11.1.102.62). However, the player always shows this (privacy popup question) instead of this (privacy settings tab) when loading the app.The reason i want the settings tab to show is because i need the end user to easily check the "remember" box. I have tried to call Security.showSettings(SecurityPanel.PRIVACY); before as well as after the getCamera/getMicrophone calls but all that happens is we get 2 popups instead of 1.and still no "remember" option.Actually it doesnt show the privacy tab at all!Searched tons of forums but have come up empty.I have also searched the adobe docs but all I find is a paragraph stating"if your computer or device doesn't support audio or video recording using Flash Player, you don't need to allow or deny access, and this panel doesn't appear".Which is hardly true since one of the systems we are testing with is a new Macbook Air running latest OSX.Does anyone have any insight into why this might be happening and how to display the "Privacy Settings" and not the "Privacy pop-up question"?

My web-app records users via webcam and microphone. I want to use HTML/JS for the controls and content, so I created two separate Flex modules: * A "Webcam Setup" module that lets you choose your camera and mic input devices * A "record" module that lets the user record and submit the recording
When I embed either of these on the page, since they access the user's Camera/Mic object, Flash shows the Privacy dialog that says "[mysite] is requesting access to your camera and microphone. If you click Allow, you may be recorded."
The problem is, if I answer Yes in the Setup module, and later add the Record module to the page using Javascript, it again shows the Privacy dialog.
Is there a way to avoid the second privacy popup?
I would think that saying "Yes" for [mysite] would store that permission for at least that session, but apparently not.
What I've tried I tried combining them into one SWF, adding it to the page once and moving the DOM element with jQuery's append() function when needed. When I move it, however, it reloads and asks me again.

I am developing a a game in Flash using the PureMVC framework. From time to time I need to show dialog pop-up window to get a user response back (e.g. "Cancel", "OK" and other kinds of asynchronous user feedback) while "locking" the background for interactivity.
I need some management for my pop-ups: all pop-up notifications should be stacked up, so that if two (or more) pop-up messages are initiated at the same time I show them one by one.
What's the best practice here? Should I employ a proxy to manage my pop-ups (sounds unreasonable). How do I get feedback back from my dialog? using notifications?

Is there any kind of a standard for the location (padding) and size of the usual "ok" and "cancel" buttons on a Flex pop-up dialog box? In another stackoverflow question it was suggested that the approach be host operating system dependent (e.g. Windows vs Mac vs Linux).

I'm using MATE on an Adobe Flex project for MVC. On one of our pages, we have a dialog window that is presented to the user that displays them information that comes from RPC. The pages where this dialog pops up is unrelated to the data being displayed so this is a separate model. How do I create a MATE mapping file that will create the dialog window, make it visible to the user, and then inject in data from a model?

This PHP contact form works well and is very simple. I have one checkbox in the fla file. However, it keeps displaying 'No' in the email message field, whether the checkbox is selected or not. It should display 'Yes' if the checkbox is selected, and 'No' if the checkbox is unselected.Here is the PHP:

Adobe is, in my opinion, intentionally deceptive on a number of levels about the privacy-invading cookies that Flash stores on your machine. These are NOT the cookies that get deleted when you clear your browser cache. These cookies remain on your machine until you MANUALLY DELETE THEM. This is not an issue with action scripts it's regarding the privacy and secureness in a flash based website. WIll it cause any harm by giving someone the websites' FLA (just for checking purpose)? Can that person do any harm to the web in future? If yes, what are the possibilities? (online transactions, database info, virus, etc...)

If you create a popup via:[code]It will create a popup and bring it on top of any other visual piece. I have one problem though. This 'popup' needs to stay up even when the user interacts with the background.I would use modal, but I need the ability to interact with the back. Any way to tell the popup manager not to remove the popup when the user clicks off of it?

I am using datagrid and added 3 columns to it in flex project. Data is provided to each column by using itemrenderer. Itemrenderer is checkbox for each column. Name of columns are col1,col2,col3. I am making a game for the university I attend. I am having students choose between college and high school by two buttons to see if they choose the correct answer. Then I want it to display the number correct on a result page I will have them print out for the instructor of their freshman seminar class.Can flash remember if a specific button was clicked? I have each button with a unique name and could it tell which one was clicked to help me figure out results?
Otherwise, I was wondering if there was a way I could have flash keep track of "points" so I can display the number correct. Would it be possible if I gave each button a numeric value and somehow added up the numbers from each button to put over a total score of 12 (that's how many questions there are)? Could it be done in a dynamic text field?

I have a working shared object. The visitor types a password into an input text field and hits go. The next time they go to the log-in it pulls the shared object out and prepopulates the input text field. How can I add a "checkbox" (Remember Me) option to the process. I'd like the visitor to have the option of whether or not they want to be remembered.
My current code looks like this:

when I do linkage on a symbol and export it for AS3. Then I edit the symbol, for instance go in and modify anything inside, a shape, etc... the next time I try to publish flash, i get an error multiple constructor definitions found. constructor may not be defined in <Script/> code.I think may be it's because flash does not remember to delete the previous export and creates another one. The only way to resolve this, is to delete the entire symbol and re-create it.

how i can make a draggable movie clip remain in the position it was dragged to, when moving to another frame, then returning to the first.
here's an example,
say on frame one i have a circle movie clip and an image of a square, to begin with the circle is nowhere near the square, but I've added code that means it's draggable, so you drag it next to the square then click a button that takes you to frame two
then when you've done whatever you can do on frame two and want to return to frame one the circle would be back where it started (as in nowhere near the square).
How could I make it so when you click to go back to frame one, the circle is where you dragged it (e.g. next to the square)

I've created a rather simple Flex application using Flex Builder 4, which connects to a webcam on the user's PC. To do so, Flash is presenting the user with the infamous privacy warning.
Now, the problem is that user can't click on the panel, as it seems unresponsive to any user interaction.
Some more details:
Firefox 3.6.12 on Mac/OSX, Snow Leopard.Adobe Flash Plugin 10.1.85.3 / 10.1 r85The Flex app is working fine in its own window/tab but the problem shows up as soon as the html page with the Flex app is embedded into the iframe of another page.If I artificially put an Alert box before connecting the camera, the user is able to interact with the Flex application but as soon as the Privacy panel is shown, the Flex app stops interacting.
The app works fine under Chrome and Safari but I have not tried this under Windows.I've read that there are problems with CSS positioning so I removed any CSS style impacting the Flex app.
Before I change my strategy and get rid of the iframe (which will cost me quite some effort) I'd be happy to know whether others have experienced the same problem and if there are workarounds.
