I'm working on an custom video player. Got the rest of the elements in place, but cant for the life of me work out how to change the volume component from Horizontal to Vertical. I've tried standard stuff like rotation='90' but no joy on that.
Anyone have any ideas on what I should maybe modify or change to get it to a Vertical Slider rather than the current Horizontal state?
I've created a small music player with a sliding volume control. I'm having trouble with the volume. Though it does control volume properly, if I set the initial volume to less than 100%, the volume always starts at 100% until I move my mouse over the player. At that point, the volume changes to whatever the initial volume is set to.Is this a flash bug, or am I missing something? Here is the affected code (code for other buttons/functions omitted for brevity):
var song_initvolume:Number = 100; slider_1._x = groove_1._x + song_initvolume; playSong(0,song_play);[code]....
I'd like to be able to set the volume at say 50%, but the above mentioned behavior happens each time.
I'm building a video player and am kinda stuck at the volume slider part. It's a YouTube style vertical slider, meaning if the slider is in the top position volume should be 100% and if the slider is dragged to the bottom position sound should be 0. Currently it's doing the opposite of what I want :(
Dragging the slider down will make the sound louder, while dragging up lowers it.
Here is my code below dealing with the volume slider.
[Code]....
The (-4) is an offset value so when you drag it all the way to turn it off, it's 0 and not 4. I need to reverse this somehow, so the traces above will swap... going down will make userVolume = 4 and going up will make it 30.
I'm currently learning Flash (CS4, AS3) and am creating a game. I have currently 1 flv file with 4 scenes, I then move from left to right and then to scene 2 and go from left to right. This is the game where items pop up that need to be clicked on and you get points.
Is there any way I can combine these onto 1 scene? Flash only allows you to have a maximum of 2880px wide.The reason for this is the transition between the scenes is RUBBISH and that my AS is not working correctly in between scenes (it loses values).
I've got a serious of games which in turn load off a main main swf.I have mute and unmute buttons on the main menu and the same buttons in each game.When I unload/load a game I want the volume to stay as it is so they player doesn't have to keep turning the volume off. AudioOff is the button shown when the volume is off and AudioOn is the button shown when the volume is on.The code I've got now keeps the volume on or off through the games but the buttons aren't showing up correct with this code..
if (SoundVolume.volume == 1) { AudioOn.visible = false;[code].....
It seems right to me but I don't know. The movie button slides down the slider bar but it just doesn't affect the volume. Going to try to attach my FLA to offer better insight. Just tried to upload it and no matter if it's FLA or zipped FLA, it says it failed.
In my application I'm using a canvas and repeater inside HBox it is Dynamic,..now I want to keep a horizontal scrollbar for the same, I may display more than 50 canvas addresses inside that Hbox and repeater.Here is my code:
I am doing a elearning project in flex and it consist in a secuence of swf files and a player that load it based in a xml file, the problem is all swf files contents narrations and I need to control the volume of narrations from the player interface, anybody know how I can control the volume of a swf file from flex??
I am new to actionscript development and can't figure out where to start. I am trying to create a picture gallery in Actionscript (Flex would also do, but no Flash). Basically, it should be a horizontal list of images with captions below the picture. It should be possible to scroll through the images on a touch enabled device -> no scrollbars
I have looked into ScrollViewport put don't know how to implement a basic version in pure Actionscript.! I have included a small sketch I have seen alot of solutions with a scrollbar. But I want something like on iOS where you scroll with your finger through the images.
Let's say I have a slider that can go between 0 and 1.The SoundTransform.volume also ranges between 0 (silent) and 1 (full volume),but if I use a linear function,let's say SoundTransform. volume = slider.volume, the result is rather not pleasing.I really haven't studied the human ear,but I overheard once that human perception is logarithmic, or something similar. What algorithms should I use for setting the SoundTransform.volume?
<Projectlist><Project> <ProjectName>Alcoswitch - ToggleSwitches </ProjectName> <ProjectStatusname>Planning</ProjectStatusname> </Project><Project><ProjectName> Transverse Wedge</ProjectName> [Code] ..... My X-Axis shows multiple values of In-Progress, but I just need one. Is it possible to represent such relationship using BarChart. Any other Flex chart is Advisable.
I've got an Horizontal List. It contains 6 XML Nodes at the moment. But what I'd like to do is remove the scrollbar so that an button can function to scroll through the nodes instead.
I am using a Column Chart to display certain data. The data is provided by an array collection. The array contains 3 elements for the horizontal axis, hence 3 labels are shown on the horizontal axis. I want to show 2 additional labels(i.e. total 5 labels) dynamically on the chart. I there a way to add labels to the horizontal axis.[code]...
I need to display set of images in horizontal list. The list needs to be controlled with next and previous buttons. Moreover I need to display paging showing no of images per page below the list.
I have a dynamically created chart and I need to add a horizontal and vertical axis in a script. I can't put the chart into MXML because I'm dynamically changing the chart type, deleting and creating a new chart. Therefore, the variable that I use to create the chart, an instance of chartBase, doesn't have either a horizontalAxis or verticalAxis. How do I assign to them if they don't exist? Should I be using a different type? The graphs I want to use are line, bar, and HLOC and/or candlestick.
I'm writing an application in AS3 on Flex that utilises USB removable storage - SD cards - and I need to display the space available on it in a progress bar.Getting the space available on a drive is straightforward enough using:
but to display free space graphically, I need to know the total size of the drive and I can't find anyway of getting that info.For now, I've resorted to guessing the size roughly based on the free space, but this is obviously far from ideal.I've scoured the vast documentation that Adobe provides and googled 'til my fingers ache, but no luck. I'm guessing this may not be possible with the standard framework and may require a custom Native extention to be written.
I have an application control bar at the bottom of my Flex application (with attributes width="100%", dock="false", left="0", bottom="0", height="50"). It contains a lot of elements (like buttons and labels). The width of the SWF is the width of the browser.When the user makes the width of the browser window smaller, after a certain point, thecomponents on the application control bar gets "squished": they are forced on top of each other. And so, it becomes confusing and ugly. To ensure that that doesn't happen, I've set the minWidth attribute to a value so that it'll always display the components without them overlapping each other.
But then, a horizontal scrollbar appears and hides the bottom half of the application control bar.I've googled and I found this article: flex verticalscrollpolicy bug (referenced by this SO question: Flex: Prevent scrollbar from covering content when automatically displayed).But that seems to apply only to a fixed size component. My component's width is a percentage. how to have the horizontal scrollbar appear and have it not cover up the application control bar?
Does anyone know how can the horizontal control line be removed or made invisible. What am trying to say is, I just want to show the drag-thumb and not the horizontal line.Is there a way to do so, with out using skins?
I'm trying to develop a card game with Flex, and I was wondering if there's a way to create an horizontal list (the cards that I have in my hand) having the elements overlapped, like you can see in this example made with openflux: [URL]. The thing that's missing here is the possibility to swap the cards with drag and drop. What I could do to get a similar effect with an horizontal list based component?
I am not sure if it possible or what would be the best way to archive the following in Adobe Flex 4 (I am also fine with Flex 3). I need some kind of a tree view, but the items should be placed like a tree from top to down and not like it is done in the treeview implementation of the Flex framework. To make it more clear here an simple "graphic":
Is it possible to remove the horizontal separator which divides the headers with the data? I managed to remove the vertical ones with mx.skins.Programmatic skin, but could not find a way to remove the horizontal separator.
wondering if there's any way to make it so that a list I have will not scroll to show the horizontal end of the items. Very few items go long enough to require it and the horizontal scrollbar is distracting.
I don't see any property to control that, though, so not sure how to achieve this.
