Actionscript 3 :: Trace A Message If 3 Movieclips Were Clicked?

I am building a simple game in flash in actionscipt 3. I want when the user click on the 3 movieclips on the stage to trace a message like "Thanks for clicking all 3 movieclips!"

this message have to appear once he click on the 3 not only on one.

I'd like to be able to redirect the traces, and even more then traces the flash error reports to a text-box inside my flash app, so I can see the bug report in a computer that doesn't have flash-player debugger version or flashbug installed.

Any error message that comes on in my app should show in this textbox.

i have tried to make the message appear when the button is clicked on but in vain.my objectivity is to make the "sorry.try again" message appear if the wrong button is clicked. 2 last tries will be given a chance. if stilll the third attempt is wrong, the answer message will appear.i think that i write wrong conditions so can u take a look at my file? what conditions to write after u take a look at my file.

I've been trying in as3 to create a trace function which traces / outputs which instance in my movie i have clicked, but with no luck.

I have 10 MC's on my stage, and I would like to trace which of these I clicked, outputting ie. "_level0.myButton09".

point in the right direction if there's been a post previously on this, I did a search but didn't find anything. So my problem is that I'm creating objects dynamically and adding them to a movieclip container. I.e. click button -> generate new instance of Item class -> container.addChild(item).

What on earth am I missing?! I've googled and found working examples of that, but it just does not do the trick for me. I'm compiling the project as an Adobe AIR file, but as far as I'm concerned, it should not intervene with the x and y values of the movie clips. I also tried getting the values by methods in the Item class, but with no luck.

I have a game where i add some cartoonish ants, that when they are clicked, they need to be removed from stage. There are 4 differend kinds of ants, so im doing a Math.random for picking which one to add. (ant 1+2+3 have 50% chance to spawn and 4th 50%) rnd_nbr = (Math.random() * 5)+1;

I have a timer doing 10 tick, and i reset the timer to make neverending. Then i have a math random and if sentences adding mc' to the stage with movement from Tweener, and event listeners for clicks. But i cant figure out how to remove them when clicked. I have done alot of failed tries right inside the click_candy_anty function. I've left them commented out.

I have many movieclips -I have 10 movieclips for each type-and i have around 7 types of movie clips (ex. 10 red squares, 10 green triangles, 10 blue circles movieclips) now I want a different action to occur if any of the movieclips get clicked-but the same action should occur if the same type gets clicked (ex. if the user clicks on any of the blue circle-it should get dragged, if they click on any of the green triagles-it should get deleted and so on)what's an efficient way of doing it except for

if square1.onclick=square2.onlick=function()...

if triangle1.onclick=triangle2.onlick=function()...

there's a prototype-but that affects all the movieclips-is there a way for me to make each of the movie clips-sort of a different category (object) so that way I can use prototype keyword-or anything else-to have the same affect? and not have to write repetitious code?(maybe some sort of inheritence to movieclip)

I want the font type "BauhausMedium" to apply when ft_01 is clicked, font type "Haettenschweiler" to apply when ft_02 is clicked, etc... at the same time I want all" ft_01a", "ft_02a", "ft_03a" movieclips to hide except for the movieclip similar to the clicked button. I am having issues with a global array. I have an actionscript file called MyGlobal.as at the same level as my main FLA:

I am able to trace that first element while trace is called within the function... but if I try to trace that first element outside of the function it is "undefined". Do I need to return the array at the end of the function? I tried that but I cant seem to get it working correctly.

ive got a loaded xml list for an mp3 player. from playing track1, when i select track 2, it traces "track1" but then after a second click it traces "track2" and stays on that. the actually music for track2 does load on the first click though, but not the trace. anyone know why on the first click it would still trace the previous track? here is the code for that function...

take a look at the results of these traces:

trace(imgGal); //traces "1"
trace(itemClip1._y); //traces "32"
trace(itemClip[imgGal]._y); //traces "undefined"

why does the last trace not trace "32" like the second trace? I want to insert the variable "imgGal" onto the end of the mc "itemClip", how can I do this?

I've got about 6 buttons laid out, one on top of the other in a list format. In their normal state the buttons are grey in colour, when I rollover them, the buttons flash and turn to orange. Now, what I need to happen is this: I want the buttons to stay orange once clicked and only roll out back to grey when the user has clicked on another button in the list. I've been told that the best way to do this is via adding a listener, however I am a little unsure as to how to go about this. I've checked the flash help file and have a basic understanding of how listeners work...but can't really wrap my head around applying it to this situation. Perhaps I will need to have all the buttons as separate broadcasters?

I m trying to make sense of how to load a swf into a parent MovieClip and allow them to communicate.I ve attached two zip files � one which works fine and the other doesn�t. Unfortunately (for me), the one which doesn�t work is closer to my current project.I need to load movieclips into the parent movieclip. The parent movieclip has controls which rely on values parsed from the child movieclip.In the parent movieclips I wait until the loading is complete and so the values should be passed. Looking for a way to stop all movieclips both are the stage and that are children of the ones on the stage.
 
I toyed with looping thru stage's children so I can first target clips on the stage. But I am getting error.
