Actionscript :: Save An Image From A Flash Application During Runtime?

I'm having a difficult time finding any ActionScript that will do the trick of saving an image during runtime.
It's a Flash application where the user can design something, then send it in (to me) for publishing (I figured the best way to do that would be to take a picture JPEG of their finished design using some sort of ActionScript and then save it to my Web Server). I've searched around and found a few examples, but none of them seem to work

i installed the Adobe Flash CS4 on my computer but i keep getting an error when running the Flash application. This is the error i'm getting(refer to the attached image): the Error 147:20 keeps bugging me. I was wondering if there is a way around this problem.

I just updated my AIR runtime to 3.0 and noticed that my AIR application doesn't work anymore. So I tried to debug it it with Flash Builder, but when I run it there, everything works just fine. So I uninstalled the AIR runtime completely but noticed that I can execute my AIR app within Flash Builder still just fine. So the AIR runtime used within Flash Builder seems to be a different one than the systemwide installed AIR runtime. How Do I chose within Flash Builder which runtime to use and how do I update this runtime?

I am trying to use my Flash app to update an XML file when a new user registers. I thought I had found a method to do this using the FileReference.save function. From various searches I understand the function is not as simple as it seems but I cannot get my head around what I need to do to get it working.Here is the code:

This is the error I am getting at runtime: 1061: Call to a possibly undefined method save through a reference with static type flash.net:FileReference. Are ther any prerequisits I am missing in order to use the function?

I am making a budgeting program, partly because I need one, and I want to learn more about flash. My main question is this - because I will need to track data over many months, how do I make sure it is saved by flash? Do I have to host it as a website so it is 'always running'? I would hate to think what would happen if the host were to go down, I would lose everything.
Its seems like there would be a way to export the data (via a save button) to xml or some other format after I have finished my session.

Is it possible to make a feature that allows the user to save as swf?
lets say the user drag and drop something unto the stage.. the user got some sort of timeline to control the tween with.. the user make a second keynote. and moves the object earlier draged onto the stage, so now if user press "play", the object will move.. and now the 1million dollar question.. is it possible to save this tween/movement as a SWF? (or avi or whatever..) as long as it can be loaded again later? - using xml is not an option in this case.

When I save a .fla on my macbook (snow leopard OS) the main Flash CS4 application toolbar (the one with the minimize, maximize, hide buttons on it) disappears after the save dialogue has gone.To get it back I have to re-launch the app.I have checked for software updates but nothing seems to be addressing this issue.

I have a Flash Application that sends an image (using as3corelib) to a PHP script that previews it in the browser, which works! But, I would actually like it to permanently save it the a server folder (uploads, etc.) instead of temporarily saving it. I can't find the right variable in the PHP that actually sends the image to a server so it could save it.

I'm creating a flash fun thing where you dress up a character by just dragging and dropping little images, everything is working fine.
I want to add an option to save the image you have created, I can do this but the problem is you have to set a movie clip to capture, the thing i want to capture is a few movie clips layered on top of each other(the finished character).[code]...

my website is flash-only and i have photo gallery, and if you click on a thumbnail it loads larger image in flash, and then you can click on it and see "Save As..." dialog.. you can find a nice example what i am talking about here [URL] and if you select one photo there is "DOWNLOAD IMAGE" :] it's not my web.

I am wanting to be able to save or export or print out my swf.. not sure where to Start other than knowing that it will probably require php.
Just doing a 'print screen' on the keyboard wont work because the swf is bigger than my screen resolution.

From what I can gather, the resize property of a Flex application is set in the XML config file[code]...
However, if I set this attribute to true, is there a way to turn this off dynamically at runtime? For example, my application has two view modes - mini and maxi. I would like to prevent the end user from being able to resize the application when in mini mode. I tried prevent the resize using the following code but it does not seem to work[code]...

Has anyone got any experience will loading SWC / SWZ's at runtime within a Flex 4 / Air 2 desktop application?The very rough idea would be to have a desktop Air app, which is able to "download" additional modules (eg, a SWZ/RSL representing a form) and load these at runtime?
Imagine the App is configured using an XML file obtained over the net. This is my first post on this forum, i've just joined because i was pretty sure i will find all my answers here what i want is to save a movieclip as a picture so a client can dowload it to his/her machine.but it doesn't work, because i don't have jpegencoder library. i searched the net for it and i didn't find a way to download it.So, how can i get it and install it on my machine? I'm using a licensed version of Flex Builder Pro to develop an application.I compiled the swc and generated swf successfully using ANT tasks.It contains an Advanced Data Grid also. When this application is accessed, I get a runtime error and it fails to load.
