Actionscript :: Remove Anti-alias (bitmap Font) In Cs5 TLF Text
Aug 26, 2010How can i use a bitmap text (no anti-alias at all), i can't find that option , the same option that exists in the classic text field.

Jan 29, 2012I am having a problem with the anti-alias that is applied to my text.I am using a sans-serif narrow font and this problem appears based on the color that I set to the text.From 000000 to c8c8c8, the font is displayed properly. From c9c9c9 to ffffff, the font is displayed with what I think is a lot of anti-alias, so much that it looks like it is bold.I have tested a different font and this is not happening with other fonts.

Nov 8, 2010when adding a mask to a parent sprite with a dynamic text field, the text loses anti-aliasing. how can i maintain the text's anti-alias while still applying a mask to its parent, and subsequently to itself.the font is embedded, and the text field will be animated so it must also be masked along with its parent.

Dec 7, 2010I'm working with swf's generated by InDesign CS5, which will apparently only export text as staticText objects. Is it possible to alter the anti-alias of staticText? I want to make it for readability, but it defaults to animation with no apparent way of changing it. I recently got help for textFields, but I can't seem to get it to work on staticText.

Jul 23, 2009when I create a medium or large text block, Flash (cs4) starts to work very slow, only a objet move or a click on stage takes a lot of time to process. My computer features should be ok... 4gb ram, intel 2 core duo 2.4 hz... The only thing that I think can be a problem is that I'm using Windows Vista 64 bit.

Oct 22, 2010I have a Flash file that I use to load in transparent PNG's (line-drawings), and use Flash to allow the user to select the color of drawing, and instantly change the color.This is all working like it should be.I am using the UILoader component to load in the image that I recieve through flashvars, and then change the color if needed.The only thing, that the image sometimes appears not very smooth. I have seen various articles where people talk about using smoothing=true on a bitmap. But I am not quiet sure where to set this, or how this works.I left out the changeColor() and getFlashvars() function, and the import lines. because I don't think it is relevant here, and to keep everything as simple and short as possible.

I'm stuck even if its just a work around in some way I would like to know... (the current work around i have in my head is writing it in a movieclip turning that into bitmap data and drawing it... esentially creating a prototype answering my question... but a built in way would be easier probably).

Aug 7, 2009i am trying to use an embed font in a movie. while editing, everything looks great but when i publish to swf, the text displays pixelized and rough, as no the anti-aliasing is not applied. any tips on how to correct this? i imported the font properly to my working library and set the linkage to "export to actionscript". I also noticed that when i do not import the font to library, the font displays just fine..

But its very blurry and I can find a way to turn off anti-aliasing in as3.Its the right size and placed with whole numbers. The reason I have embedded this method is because I don't want to load an entire font library.

Mar 4, 2005I have a movie with some dynamic text, which is embedded and has aliasing turned on -- it is crisp. This text field is behind a mask that I created using setMask so the text appears. The problem happens when I publish my movie as player version 6. When I do this, the text looks as if the field was on an odd pixel, for example x = 60.4. But it's not.
