Mar 22, 2010I have converted a short clip to an .swf file, i want to implement it on my website:

When i play it it autoplays (that's fine) but it also keeps repeating over and over, i'd like it to stop at the end and just display the end frame (as mentioned i converted a movie so i cant do it with actionscript in the .fla file).

Jun 21, 2010i want the .SWF file to be opened but not donwloaded until a button is pressed but don't know ho to do that..on frame 1 i have an object (movieclip) that consists of a logo with a blur effect.. after 1-2 seconds the blur effect goes away and you can see the logo. the logo itself is a button that send's the user to the next frame in the main scene.on frame 2 of the main scene i have a preloader that shows the percentage of the loaded page and a progress bar .. everything works great
the problem is that when you open the swf it starts downloading the hole flash site and when you press enter the site is already loaded and you can't see the progress bar of the preloader..i want only the 1 frame of the main scene to be loded, then i want i to stop loading (downloading) the SWF file until enter is pressed.when enter is pressed i want the flash site to be loaded and so you can see the preloader in action..can i put some code on the action layer on the 1 frame that stops loading the movie (the first frame is loaded and the blur effect of the logo plays).and another code on the second frame (where the preloader is visible) that starts the donwloading again?

Nov 4, 2011I have this homepage,[URL] and two separate .swf files. I want the top .swf, the skip bar, to stop the bottom video. Is there anyway to do this? Note I have no way to edit the original video. I wouldn't mind using a javascript solution but would rather target it with AS3 if possible.

Aug 4, 2009I am having an issue where if I import a graphic to the library or directly to the stage, it causes my movie to stop on frame #1, even though the graphic is on frame #40. Jun 12, 2009I thought I had a handle on the timer class (even just a beginners understanding), but I'm having trouble with it.I have an event listener for the timer and it starts fine i get a delay, then a tween,but when I place a myTimer.stop();in the fuction the listener called (to stop it) it dosent stop.it will repeat placing the first image, and then call the first function again
......Wait its placing the first image in (a couple of lines before the start), so Its restarting the whole movie, not just the function?

Nov 8, 2009I've built an online magazine, that has several links to videos. One page has four of them. They all work great except under one specific circumstance. If the user quickly opens a video, and closes it, moving on the to next, and doing the same, the 3rd or 4th video may appear unresponsive. I've narrowed this down to being a bandwith issue. If I look at my activiyt in Safari, the FLV files continue to download even if the user closes my player.
Is there anyway to kill this download if the user closes a player?[code]...

Sep 16, 2011I'm creating a flash of a piano in which you hit a button and it plays that key. I have a single file of the entire scale, and I tried to put a stop(); command after each note- however it's not stopping. Shouldn't the stop command respond to the actionscript since the sound file is in the timeline?

The issue is that all of the songs can be playing at the same time if you don't manually stop the other songs. Jan 4, 2011I am trying to import a video in to flash. I have converted it to a flv and used the stream from flash media server option and selected a standard play and stop bar. I have imported it in and it works find when you just select the individual swf that it loads into. The problem im having is that when I go to it through the home page, all the page loads apart from the video. I've tried moving it around, moving where all the assets to the video are etc. I know the file structure is important to this working. I have a main folder called interactive / and in that have a FLA and a SWF folder and the swf and fla home page. Currently I have the the video swf in the swf folder with the flv and the play and stop swf.

Oct 19, 2011Ive created a banner ad in AS 1.0-2.0. The ad can only loop 4 times then it must stop. The following code does this at frame 170. The timeline is 170 frames in length, and this code is keyframed on an actions layer on frame 170 - however, I'd like the final stopped flash swf file to occur at frame 155. I can't just put this code on frame 155 - it skips a whole section of animation (from frames 155 to 170) that I want to keep in the loops.
