Flash :: Create A Javascript Carousel Which Contains A File As Well As Static Images?

I was wondering if it's possible to include an swf within a javascript carousel that currently just contains stagic images. What I'm looking to do is include a flash animation within the carousel. I guess I've got two main questions: Is it possible to cycle through flash files in the same way as an image? How would I get the javascript and flash to interact so the flash file would know when it had been selected?

Is it possible/what is the easiest way to take 3D model from max and create a Flash or Javascript carousel that can work on the web? It should function like a real world CD carousel with say 100 or so models built in. [URL] Buttons on each side scroll through the chips. I have created a static text in my FLA file and for some reason when I convert it to a movieclip symbol, my setting of the text - such as the letter spacing - are no longer. It scrunches together and looks pixelated. Any knowledge as to why? It was not doing this a while ago but I don't see what I have changed!

I am trying to create a multiple file upload flash application to be called from an External Interface, but it isn't working.
AS3:
var fileRef:FileReferenceList;
ExternalInterface.addCallback('selectFiles', showDialog);
function showDialog()

When I run the script and comment out the fileRef parts and uncomment the alert call, it shows the alert, also when I comment out the ExternalInterface call, leaving only the fileRef parts, it shows the file upload dialog.
When I run it as intended, I get the following error:

I have a Flash carousel on my website, and I wanted to change one of the images, and delete another icon altogether. I have uploaded the revised XML file, published the new .swf (just in case), and uploaded to my Joomla site.For some strange reason, its still showing the old icons in Firefox (even though I've deleted these images from the referenced folder), and its showing the new icons in IE, only without the one image I added. Very strange.I've refreshed, created a new .swf, made sure I've saved the XML file etc but no changeThis is probably one of those amateur mistakes I think, I've thought of everything but drawing a blank at the moment.Oh i should probably mentioned that the revised carousel has 4 icons, and the old one has 5. How would you defer loading of other graphics on the page until after the images in a Flash gallery's images.xml file are finished loading?Is there any way to detect for this, or would I only be able to check if the flash swf object is finished loading? I'm pretty sure the swf object would be loaded/ready as with document.getElementById('flashobject').onload = function(){}; before the corresponding images have loaded though, instead of after.

I am using the Casousel3 tutorial and getting some cool effects but would like to make some mods - but don't really have the knowledge it seems to do them. I have tried but only succeeded in creating a rather nice white screen. I would like to be able to bring in the images via xml at 75% their original size so that when i click them I can enlarge them too 100% (part where the text comes in - have sorted the enlarging) and not get any pixelisation appearing. I would also like to be able to preload the images as they are loading (with that swirl loading graphic if possible !?)

I am not new to html or flash but, some what new to XML. I created a carousel based off the tutorials and it works great on my computer but, when I create an html file and attach the .swf file the flash file loads but, the icon images or anything from the .xml file doesn't appear.This is what I use to load my .swf file :

Do I have to put a special script in the html document for it to be able to see the xml file?

I need to execute some javascript string code from flash swf file using actionscript 3.
I read that it could be done by passing the javascript code to the parent html document , using externalinterface.call function. Then I assume it will be faster if I can declare functions in the javascript code in the HTML document in the first use of externalinterface.call funtion ; if flash code calls the javascript code repeatedly. So let me ask you how to do that. For details , any javascript to be loaded is unknown in design time and I can not prepare a javascript file to be loaded.

Is it possible to pass file names from a running Flash application, which only purpose is to enable multiple-file-selection, to a JavaScript application which handles upload of all files to the server?I have examined various Flash upload solutions (like SWFUpload, Uploadify, etc.) and none of them meets my needs. I want an easy to implement solution (like Uploadify) which also lets me specify various parts of the HTTP request.
The reason I need this is because my upload form uses session cookies (for user authentication) and an CSRF token both passed to the server when uploading files.Is it technically possible to pass filenames (+ paths) to a JavaScript application which then handles the upload?

I made a carousel as "Creating 3D Carousels: Part 2" but with different images(11 images, 178x175 pixels). I integrate it in aspx page. When I run the page local(on my computer), the carousel it's working but when I run the page on the server isn't working, it displays only the flash background without images. I think it's happens something when the flash tries to load the images, maybe it don't have to much time to load its. I tried to put ,in first frame, a line code, to load the xml file and after 200 frames the rest of code, but nothing(I tried that because I thought the flash doesn't time to load the xml file).

In the past I've put one line of text on one image, then another line of text on another image, but when I fade the images in they just cover up the prior one.

I have a flash file that contains a package "game" which has a class "Scores" and a method setValue(). I want to write some lines of Javascript that allow me to call that method. Someone directed me to this tutorial, but I am still a bit confused.

displays an alert to tell me that it has indeed began to execute saves the embedded flash file into a variable and sets access imports that class calls the method.I am not sure about how this class thing works?
