Flash :: Edit Actionscript From Swf - Compiled File

I have one swf file, it is JW Player plugin. It have one actionscript file in which is whole plugin code, and rest of files are jwplayer api files. So i need to open that file (where whole plugin code is) and edit few lines. But there is a problem, because when i try to decompile file with sothink swf decompiler (and few others) - to convert it to .FLA, decompiles simply crashes. It is because of some file from jwplayer api library. So, next thing i tried is to edit via HEX (because there is not much to be edited), but i couldn't find what i needed. So what i need is - is there any way or not? If yes, which program can be used for this?

I compiled a simple AS3 project using Flex 3.5 (also tried Flex 4.1) to create a small swf which draws a simple red square on screen. Nothing too complex that requires special flashplayer support (see code below)

and tried to load it into a AS2 swf I have compiled using Flash CS4. But that just didn't work. I don't get any errors when loading and the AS2 swf can load any swf, either compiled in AS2 or AS3 by Flash.

I've built a form in Flex. When I run the flex project, I get a html file with some js, css and swf files (NOT A SINGLE FILE), swz files. When I run the main swf file alone, many things are working perfectly except at places where it needs to send a HTTPService request. When I use the html file, all works fine.
Now I want to do the following.Import this form made in flex into a flash site (actionscript 3)This form has various ViewStacks, where the user will be travelling through these. I want to reload the form back to its initial stage when the user wants to fill the fields again. Can there be any request sent to the Flash Site from this FORM, regarding the form submission success Can I compile the Flex Project to one single swf file, so that I can use this swf file without any Browser? I'm actually relatively new to flash and actionscript but I could say I have fair knowledge about them. So anyway, I usually build flash websites the traditional way using timeline animation and scripting. Today I had a job interview and they said they're looking for someone who can develop any web design into a Flash CMS with a back-end office for the client to edit the content without having to edit the FLA file or any code.
Accordingly, I'd like to know where and how to start. What are the main concepts I should follow/adapt?

My web designer is no longer working and has left me with a flash file which would benefit from a small edit
The file is made up of a banner which rotates between 3 images. I'd dearly like each of the images to become a link to html files already uploaded to server

What I mean is that several jpg file will be sent to the server and replace the images that embedded in the file and a exe file will be created from the new file.
I know that I can keep the jpg outside the file and just call them dynamically but I just need to use them in that way.
Is there a way to create a flash file on the fly by a script?

I've got twenty .swf files and respectively .as extensions of them. In each file there's my e-mail, but I don't have access to that e-mail anymore, so I want to edit each file to remove it. I tried hard to do this myself, but it isn't working. I would like to offer $20 to anyone who can decompile this flash program, edit the actionscript to load an xml settings file from URL (instead of loading the one compiled with the program), and package it up for me. My main problem is that it doesn't decompile in a way that runs when recompiled with the programs I use.[code]...

I'm trying to compile an SWC file and everything works great until the part where it needs to add components, none of them added added to the .swc file at all.
The original file should be somewhere around 211 KB and when i compile it its only 1.64 KB, after unpacking the .swc and then the .swf inside it i can see that there is no components added at all.
BTW some components showing some errors but i dont think its a reason to not include ALL the components because the errors are like:

What could the problem be? ask me if you need some future info cause i don't really know what to include in here cause there is no code it's only a project with a library.

how to get this working.I have found that

At the beginning of the Byte Array alters the Encoding.How ever the resulting String using the toString method still creates escape characters.I am trying to write the byteArray to another AS3 file to be compiled later.

I'm creating an in-house application in flash for my company. I'm pulling a ton of info from a single XML file located on our server. Ten interns will be using the application on their laptops (Air 2.0). Having the data load and populate the application is not a problem. I would like them (in the application) to be able to edit an existing node value (loaded from the XML) and save it (back to the XML file) so that the XML file updates with the new value and the other 9 interns would see the change on their application.
I figure I'll need some kind of php set up, but everything I've read so far deals with creating new nodes. I need to edit and update existing node values from an existing loaded file.
Here's a very simple example of the XML:

I'm edit a flash file that uses about 11 different fonts. When I toss it into the editor and publish it some characters are missing from the product, such as W's and M's. I've installed the fonts that were included with the flash file into windows7.

Due to some migration issues of the application from Flex 3.5 to 4.0, I have decided to implement this feature as a module that is compiled with Flex 4.0. I am dynamically loading external SWFs in a Main Fla in response to clicks on a menu.
The loading code is standard and works fine for all of the SWFs except one. When I try to load it I get the following error: Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2035: URL Not Found.
I am certain that the URL to the problem SWF is correct. The SWF itself doesn't load any other SWFs or images. The problem SWF is linked to an external class file and compiled with it. i.e. in the properties panel of the main timeline of the problem SWF's Fla I have entered the path to the external class.
1. there is no problem compiling this SWF with the class (it works fine by itself)2. if I remove the external class from the properties panel and don't use it the resulting SWF imports without a problem into the Main Fla mentioned before So the problem seems to be the fact that the external class is linked in the properties panel. Is this a path problem?

I am in the middle of creating a website using Flash CS5. I opened up my .Fla file one day to continue my work but I am no unable to access buttons and movie clips. When creating movie clips or buttons I am unable to get inside them, when I hover my mouse over them there is a white hand icon which never used to be there it was always just a normal mouse icon. I double click to enter inside the buttons/movie clips but nothing happens. This happens to existing movie clips and buttons on the page and even when I create new ones. I really don't wanna have to start this website again.

I am wondering the capabilities of the SWF Format. I have some text in a Flash Video, which is an email address (xyz@somewhere.com) which I would like to write a C# application to edit. I have the SWF File Format Spec and was wondering if the following is possible: If I read in the Tag (I am assuming this text is stored as a Static Text Tag, correct me if I am wrong). Once I found the correct tag for my text I then change the value in the tag and save the SWF file.

About 10 days ago I purchased a flash template for my photography business. At the time I knew zilch about flash and actionscript, so I wasn't totally aware of what to look for before purchasing it.My problem with the site is that scrolling is terrible, especially on smaller screens. My monitor is 28inches so all the pictures layout fine without having to scroll at all, but then my friends with smaller monitors told me about the scrolling problem, how it just goes straight to the bottom then snaps back to the top. My file directory has a ton of .as files, and I've looked through some of them, and even deleted some from the file directory just to see if it'd have an effect on the website. The ones I temporarily deleted, changed nothing to the performance of the website.
Then I saw that they did not provide me with the main.fla file, only the main.swf file. So, is the scroll behavior that I want to change contained within that main.fla file? Making it impossible for me to try and fix it since I don't have the main.fla file? Is that what controls all the .as files or something? Sorry for my ignorance, but web development is not my area of expertise, hence my reasons for buying a template
