ActionScript 3.0 :: Edit An Audio File Using Flash?
Jun 10, 2010Isn't possible to edit an audio file using flash as3. I mean the user dhould be able to select a few portion of audio file, then he needs to edit that portion.

Dec 8, 2010I've been given a avi file that I've turned into an flv and now need to create two versions of that flv, one with all the audio and one with a small section of the audio removed (its narrated and we need to remove the mentioning of a specific item).
I know I can import an flv into the flash timeline but am not sure how to kill the sound for a given portion of frames,
Was considering redoing the flv as two separate flv's, one with video and one with audio and then putting them into the timeline and cutting the audio up, but I would love a cleaner way, preferably with ActionScript

Aug 11, 2009I'm actually relatively new to flash and actionscript but I could say I have fair knowledge about them. So anyway, I usually build flash websites the traditional way using timeline animation and scripting. Today I had a job interview and they said they're looking for someone who can develop any web design into a Flash CMS with a back-end office for the client to edit the content without having to edit the FLA file or any code.
Accordingly, I'd like to know where and how to start. What are the main concepts I should follow/adapt?

May 15, 2007I'm looking for a (free) flash player that I can embed in my site and use to play a .m4a (.mp4 with AAC audio) file that will be obtained using a URL (i.e. it's not local to the server hosting the web page).I've tried searching on google for one, but either I'm searching wrong or no one has made such a thing. Ideally this would be very simple (small user interface with play button and maybe a progress bar) and it would be easy to have multiple instances of on an html page (can create the player with an <object> tag).

Nov 19, 2011how to trim /fade my sounds in Flash CS5 but it is a nightmare. So at frame 800 I want to start to fade the sound from 100% to 0% on frame 850, but whatever I try it just get's mucked up. Those little handles just keep duplicating when I try and drag them. Is there any way to delete the points and how do I get the left and right to be identical.Also, how do I fade the sound? I mean what is the best way to fade the sound so at frame 800 the sound starts to fade from 100% to 0% on frame 850?

Mar 9, 2012What I mean is that several jpg file will be sent to the server and replace the images that embedded in the file and a exe file will be created from the new file.
I know that I can keep the jpg outside the file and just call them dynamically but I just need to use them in that way.

Feb 7, 2012I have one swf file, it is JW Player plugin. It have one actionscript file in which is whole plugin code, and rest of files are jwplayer api files. So i need to open that file (where whole plugin code is) and edit few lines. But there is a problem, because when i try to decompile file with sothink swf decompiler (and few others) - to convert it to .FLA, decompiles simply crashes. It is because of some file from jwplayer api library. So, next thing i tried is to edit via HEX (because there is not much to be edited), but i couldn't find what i needed. So what i need is - is there any way or not? If yes, which program can be used for this?

Apr 2, 2012I'm creating an in-house application in flash for my company. I'm pulling a ton of info from a single XML file located on our server. Ten interns will be using the application on their laptops (Air 2.0). Having the data load and populate the application is not a problem. I would like them (in the application) to be able to edit an existing node value (loaded from the XML) and save it (back to the XML file) so that the XML file updates with the new value and the other 9 interns would see the change on their application.
I figure I'll need some kind of php set up, but everything I've read so far deals with creating new nodes. I need to edit and update existing node values from an existing loaded file.
Here's a very simple example of the XML:

Apr 9, 2012I am in the middle of creating a website using Flash CS5. I opened up my .Fla file one day to continue my work but I am no unable to access buttons and movie clips. When creating movie clips or buttons I am unable to get inside them, when I hover my mouse over them there is a white hand icon which never used to be there it was always just a normal mouse icon. I double click to enter inside the buttons/movie clips but nothing happens. This happens to existing movie clips and buttons on the page and even when I create new ones. I really don't wanna have to start this website again.

Jul 11, 2011I have created a FLV file using Adobe Media Encoder CS5. I have played it back on Several Media players and it sound fine. I import it into a Scene in Flash CS5 aand when I preview the Scene the audio has degraded and sounds terrible.
The audio is mono at 48 kbps. I cannot find any controls or options to edit the audio of the video. I have rendered it out several times using different settings but it alway plays back the same highly compressed tinny sound.
