any software that can be used to create interactive CDROMs? we have a possible job whereby an interactive CD ROM with basic animation is required. Company information is to be placed in various "Pages", and if possible some kind of "catalogue system" for a lot of PDFs would be available.
I've seen some existing CD ROM makers but they all look really cheap and unprofessional (like cheesy banners and colours etc) - what would you recommend?
Where the site visitor would upload an image on my site and be able to add(drag and drop) images i provide in flash to edit the image.

I've built it in Photoshop, but I need to make it come to life. The user should be able to grab the slider and drag it left or right and for the numbers to change appropriately. I don't even know enough about Flash to know what keywords to search to find a tutorial that'll show me how to do something similar!
I'm creating an interactive gauge in Flash. The gauge has two needles and these needles need to be controlled by two text input boxes. That way, whenever a number is typed into the box, the needles respond accordingly.

I have been asked to create an interactive flash project where the user would be able to click on a main image and depending on what part of the image they click on, a movie clip plays, then goes back to the main image.
I am sure this is basic, but I have been researching, watching tutorials, etc for a week now and can't seem to get it to work. I am by no means a Flash expert and have really never worked in it. I do more Photoshop and Illustrator-type work. So Actionscript is new to me and really the whole interface is as well.
Would you all be kind enough to help me out? I am going to need some detailed explaination.
We have used Enliven before to create interactive 3d apps for the web. Enliven uses the Viewpoint Media Player to work. We would like to be able to get the same results using Flash.
Is there a 3rd Party software out there that allows you to create interactive 3d objects and animations in Flash?

Creating a touch screen kiosk and need the gui to time-out to a movie clip (screen saver). Any tips on getting this started? I want the movie to stop when display is touched. I know it sounds like a screen saver but within the interactive using Flash exe (no web).

In the image below you see a 3D model. It's just an example to explain what I have in mind. You see a red disc 1, a blue disc 2 and a pushbutton. The idea is that the blue disc rotates (for example 45 degrees) compared to the red disc when you push the button. Is that possible in a 3D model that you also can turn around with your mouse?
I can make the models in Rhinoceros 4.0, that's no problem. Importing the model into flash is also no problem (papervision). But how can I add some interactives to the 3D model like a pushbutton and a slidecard?
I'm currently having an issue creating a set of buttons that are supposed to turn individual layers on and off. The layers I have are: fishing spots, facilities, trails, map elements, an aerial photo, and parking lots. It is giving error #s 1119 and 1120. Could anyone explain possible reasons I'm getting these errors.It might be worth mentioning that I used a tutorial made with Flash CS4, but I'm writing the code in CS5. View 9 RepliesI've been tasked with building an interactive map of all the states in the US and just wondering what the best way is to go about this? I know I could build this fairly easily in Flash but one of the requirements is for it to work on an iPhone so obviously that rules Flash out!
Requirements:
Must work across all browsers and handheld devices.
Must be updatable via Wordpress.
Must include a small info box that pops up when each state is hovered.
The look of the map will be designed by us (we'd want complete control of this as we're graphic designers!) so this also rules out a custom Google map.
I've done a search on here and found two examples, the first is exactly the kind of thing we want but is done in flash - example I don't think I'll be able to create popup bubbles when hovering over each state. An example I like is - Transmit's feature section. How was this built and how could I recreate something like that?

Any way to make a video as a transition for a flash movie? What I mean is, say you have an image of a city, and you have a bunch of clickable areas in that image. When i was in undergrad, i took a course called interactive media that was mostly about flash. When i was working on a project and i became stuck on something because of a problem i didnt know how to fix, i could just ask my instructor for some help. He'd give me thorough, common language answers. This is what i need. The class only taught me the basics. Tutorials and tech jive forums don't help me very much.
I imagine no one wants to do this kind of thing for free. So paying for a service is an option. Where can i find a service like this?

I can visually do this, by changing the z-index of the flash div layer so it is below the banner but when I do this, I cannot interact with my flash movie.
To my knowledge, this is a problem in Firefox, it is fine in Internet Explorer.
I would like to create a interactive map of a 3D town. The idea is somehow similar to Google Street View, in which users could use their mouse to move along street, and they can view the houses on the two sides of street at the perspective view.I can model a town with a few houses with 3D Max. However , I do not clearly understand the mechanism how we can add the interaction with the 3D model in Flash, somehow similar to Google Street view? Where should I start? View 1 RepliesI'm creating an interactive flash tutorial for kids teaching them about healthy eating. Part of the tutorial involves them learning about different food groups, then playing different 'games' to test their knowledge.
I would like to incorporate a user login system, so the user logs in on the main menu, and then the system records which activities have been completed, and a score for each activity. This will update whenever they finish a game or achieve a score better than their previous attempts.
I found a gotoAndLearn.com tutorial but that was just retrieving stuff from a database and plugging it into an SWF. any suggestions / tutorials available on how I can achieve this 2 way interaction?
I am currently creating a interactive flow chart in flash CS3 using action script 2.0, I have run into a few problems along the way though. My first problem is this:
They are four buttons to begin with, when you click on one of the four buttons the other shrink and the option you have selected displays its own options, but you can still click on the first three buttons that are first shown, so you can flick through the choices faster. This all works fine until certain selections are made and then the animation breaks and shows you two further options at the same time.
My second problem is:
Once you select your choice from the first four you can then click the same option again and it will replay the animation again. I don't want it to replay this but is they a way of using the "if" statement rather than creating another frame on every option.
I am thinking about making a web site that streams HD movies and videos that I have created myself. I was wonder could you use Adobe Flash Media Interactive Server 3.5 to do so I know i would have to buy a dedicated server and a fast one with a good load of bandwidth. The big question am asking is that can you base a website or content management system around the interactive server.

1. Let's say I have an icon of a person in my flash file, how can I make it so that when my moves rolls over the person a thinking bubble appears and when it rolls off the bubble disappears?
2. If I have a small image of a page version of a .pdf file in my flash file, how can I make it so that when the little .pdf page icon is click the .pdf file is launched?
3. I understand how to create a square button over text and mess with its up/down/over/click settings, but I am wondering how I can do something like change the color of the text when it is clicked or when the mouse is over it? Right now I only know how to change the color of the square button.
I am looking to design and add an interactive flash part to our company's website. Since we do a lot of business planning and consulting, we have come up with a great idea, but unfortunately, none of us really know how to create it. Basically from what I have researched, I will need to incorporate animated buttons in a flash movie. I have attached a quick sketch of what the website will look like. The part I need to work with is the middle section with the boxes.
What I need to do is this:
The 5 gray boxes need to be buttons that link to their related pages. When the page loads, I want the animation to draw the first box, create the line, draw the second box, draw the next line, etc. until all the boxes and lines are drawn. This is a process map and since we do a lot of these for our work, we thought it would be nice for us to incorporate this into our website. Furthermore, it would be ideal if these boxes were links to different pages on the site as well.
So my question is this:
-What do I need to create in order to have this animation work
-Where is a good place to start looking in regards to creating something like this
-Is this even possible
I would like to create an interactive diagram and somebody said I should use Flash to do it.
The idea is to create an organisational chart (like the ones you can produce in MS Word 2010). Each position will have its own box or button. When a user clicks on that box or button, a Word document or internet link will be activated and take the user to this other resource.
The reason why I am choosing Flash is because I would like to make alot of these diagrams and they have to go into Moodle. Apparently Flash is the only program I should use to import the diagram into Moodle.
we have some interactive particle simulators that had been programmed in Flash (.swf files).
I would like to find a way to convert these into some other format for use in iBooks Author.
How difficult would this be, and what kind of tools would I need to do it?
I want to create interactive movies using flash technologies. Do I need to buy a program from adobe to be able to create my flash movies or there are some free software that I can use? I would prefer something for Linux (Ubuntu).
ADDED: I need to program in "actionscript" and I would like to know what programs can I use to compile my code.
