That is something occurred in the flash player above 9.unfortunately i can't use Flash Player 9 in my production environment so i should resolve the issue with Flash Player 10.
View 2 RepliesThe code below compiles fine on the Flex 4 SDK on Fedora 15. Mouse-click opens the dialog box, I click okay, and a file is saved, but the file is empty. I run the same SWF file (that was compiled on the Linux machine) on a Windows machine, and the created file contains the expected data. I was thinking there was a permissions problem, but if that were so, why should Linux even let me save the file? It is going to slow things down immensely if I cannot code something and test it on the same machine...

I want to create a basic GUI for a touchscreen panel running linux grml with fluxbox so I'm very restricted. The Gnash player is also available. Is there a way to call shell/bash commands inside a Flash file (swf)?I want to create a GUI to control the mplayer and volume with the touchscreen... If it's not possible with Flash, what do you think is the easiest way?
View 1 RepliesI am trying to extract images from flash on the following web-site: [URL]
I noticed that every time I click on "Next image", an images is requested from sever. Sample URL is [URL]
So, this URL is exactly what I need, but I don't know how to extract all these URLs from the .swf file I have. I don't have any experience with flash, but I think that URLs should be in the .swf file. I tried "grep '110206os_o_003_T1C1_2pw26' adspage_slider-2.swf", but didn't get any result :(((
I am looking for libraries or solutions to convert a Microsoft PowerPoint file into a playable Flash file. The constraints are that I must be able to do this from Java, a webapp, that is running on a Linux-based server. I have been scouring Google and have only come up with two options: iSpring SDK -[URL] Option #1 is looking like it will be cost prohibitive based on initial conversations with the vendor (i.e. no price listed on web site). Option #2 seems non-ideal as it will require installing additional dependencies of OpenOffice and X11. This seems like too much overhead for what should be an inline solution.
Everything else I could find was either written only for Microsoft .NET or was just a PowerPoint plugin exporter. Any other solutions out there that are being buried by Google SEO? Can someone, maybe, convince me that the overhead of Option #2 really ain't that bad?
Update: I should clarify that I'm not opposed to reliance on a native library as long as it will compile on CentOS or, preferably, has a yum package available. I should, also, clarify, that I'm not opposed to a "for pay" option within realms of reasonable.
I want to extract a video from an swf file and make from it a video to load to youtube(I lost the origianl videos).
The swf was created with flash 5-8(not sure which. how can I check if it is importent?).
When I looked at the source(I don't have the fla) with Sothink SWF Quicker I could export the sound but not the video.
What I did see was that the video was without sound(wierd but true).
I am looking for an Java API to extract and control content from an flash (.swf) file. Are there any existing open source APIs which can help me do that?
View 2 RepliesI have a main movieclip with a bunch of 'flies'-MCs flying around randomly in it. If the main mc is placed in main timeline, is there a way to retrieve the actually covered area of the main mc at a certain moment... imagine a snapshot bounding box of all flies at that specific moment.

View 2 RepliesI would like to be able to create a folder for the copied video frames access the individual frames frome a .flv video file and/or .swf file save these frames to the auto-created folder I assume one would need to do this using Action Script 3 to scan through the .swf and .flv files and extract the frames.
View 2 RepliesIs there a way to extract a single file from a zip file in Adobe AIR?
I'm using NoChumps zip library to extract files from a zip. In this library the entire IDataStream is loaded into memory and after that you can extract file entries easily. In cases where the zip is 5 to 10MB there are no problems. But when the zip is 80MB, which many are, 80MB is loaded into memory. This causes the app to crash and run slow on mobile devices. According to the zip specification,
"A ZIP file is identified by the presence of a central directory located at the end of the file, this allows appending of new files. The directory stores a list of the names of the entries (files or directories) stored in the ZIP file, along with other metadata about the entry, and an offset into the ZIP file, pointing to the actual entry data."
Also, I do not have control of the size of zip files but most average is 60 to 100MB. Files inside are ~4MB.
here some action script code, for capturing images from webcam (from here):

i've googled a bit, and found some information about flex sdk, and it's command-line tool for compiling .as to .swf (./bin/mxmlc), but any information about converting .fla to .swf in linux!
We would like to write some automated process of fetching data from quiet a few SWF (Flash ActionScript 3) files.
Aside from that, we would like it to run automatically as a part of our automated-deployment-script (written in Ant, runs on Linux).
any SWF-parsing tools that allow to check for instance-data-per-frame ? (Adobe AIR won't run in a console-linux, as far as I saw in Google)
A friend of mine has a Flash Action script running on a LAMP server that currently reads an xml config file. He's asked me if it's possible to remove the xml file, and replace it somehow with a system (lets call it an 'auto xml generator') that intercepts the request to read that file and generates an output, so it appears to all intents and purposes as if the file still exists and contains the contents that has actually been returned from our auto xml generator'

I have a collection of .swf files and they all have different dimensions. How can I create screenshots of these flash movies automatically? Would be very handy, because otherwise I will have to make screenshots manually for a few hundred flash movies.
View 2 RepliesIs it possible to programmatically extract image files from a SWF file using C#? If so, how would I go about doing that? I know this question doesn't have a lot of detail but I'm just getting started on this and know very little about Flash.
View 2 Replieswhen playing with blending modes I noticed that they affect the background of an html page.To me this says that flash is interpreting the image below and adjusting the pixels in flash. If this were true it would be possible to take screen shots .I tried copying the bitmap of _root and other movieclips but it does not record the html site in behind.
View 3 RepliesI'm using SWFUpload to upload images without reloading the page (with a fancy progressbar too), this works fine when I'm on localhost (Wamp server), but it goes nuts when I try to do so on my real linux server (which is the only possible flag as far as I could see), it's running Apache2 and PHP5. As I said the front-end is fine (apart maybe from the fact it's flash). The back-end code is as follows:
SWFUpload_settings.js
var swfu_settings ={upload_url : "upload.php",
flash_url : "flash/swfupload.swf",
button_placeholder_id : "upload_flash",
[code]...
The only error that I get is from $_FILES['Filedata']['error'] = 3, 'Only part of the file was uploaded'. The destination directory does have 777 permission and you can see I made the required checks. It simply will not work, I have no idea why. Also, the files I tried uploading had no spaces in the filename, so that shouldn't fit under the issue 206 with SWFUpload. As far as I can tell it can be either due to the front-end SWFUpload or back-end server configuration.
P.S. no need to mention security, this is only allowed to be used by the server admin with external access anyhow, plus there's the front-end limitation on the files he can select (images). There was no point securing it further.
using actionscript 3, how can I extract the bitmap from a .ico file? ( preferably in .png format )
View 1 Repliesconverting a Sound object into a WAV file (bytearray). The main issue is I need its samples to be 16-bit per channel, and Sound.extract() returns 32-bit floats (per channel). After that I was going to add the wav headers and write the bytearray to disc. I'm widely surprised for not having found an example of it working on the web

View 2 Replieshave been trying to extract information from this file on YouTube using AS3. I have managed to access ytID (YouTube video ID) along with the ytName (YouTube video name) from a specific channel (called through the loader). I am stumped on how to get the thumbnail URL. I have managed to find out that through YouTube, its tag is media:thumbnail, however, Flash gives me an error for trying to use a semicolon.

I am thinking of creating an app which will read the contents i mean the library of the fla/swc file and use it to check whether the items present in that swc/fla is used in as3 project.... can do it manually... but wanna automate it..
