View 1 RepliesI am trying to extract images from flash on the following web-site: [URL]
I noticed that every time I click on "Next image", an images is requested from sever. Sample URL is [URL]
So, this URL is exactly what I need, but I don't know how to extract all these URLs from the .swf file I have. I don't have any experience with flash, but I think that URLs should be in the .swf file. I tried "grep '110206os_o_003_T1C1_2pw26' adspage_slider-2.swf", but didn't get any result :(((
Despite my luddite tendencies, I now have a phone with Java support - but no Flash support. I also have a copy of Macromedia Flash MX2004, though I'm unlikely to upgrade any time soon. What I'd like to be able to do is develop some content (including vector animations) in Flash, then use those resources in a Java Micro Edition application. I don't need all features of Flash - in particular, I don't care about ActionScript support. But I do want to be able to load a SWF file (or, perhaps better, an alternative file format that can be generated using a converter tool), and to be able to display animations and use other resources (particularly play sounds) from in that file.
Is there a good library and toolkit to support this kind of thing? Obviously (from the MX2004) it doesn't need to be completely up to date. On knowledge level - I've been a programmer for decades, and my everyday language these days is C++. However, I have a very limited knowledge of Java, and virtually no knowledge (yet) of Micro Edition and its libraries. I've already heard of Flash to J2ME converters, but so far as I can see they generate complete applications in one step, rather than treating the SWF file as a source of resources to be controlled from separately written Java code.
EDIT I get the feeling that this is (with slight modifications) probably quite easy. Java Mobile Edition supports SVG vector graphics. SVG supports animations. There are (I'm pretty certain) ways to convert flash animations to SVG - probably a simple export-to-SVG in the application, though I've not checked. This in itself doesn't give me a convenient bundle-of-media resources file format, but that's a relatively simple problem to solve, so long as there's a way to "load" SVG and other media files from some kind of non-file stream class that gets its data in turn from the bundle-of-media file.
I have a main movieclip with a bunch of 'flies'-MCs flying around randomly in it. If the main mc is placed in main timeline, is there a way to retrieve the actually covered area of the main mc at a certain moment... imagine a snapshot bounding box of all flies at that specific moment.
View 9 RepliesI want to extract a video from an swf file and make from it a video to load to youtube(I lost the origianl videos).
The swf was created with flash 5-8(not sure which. how can I check if it is importent?).
When I looked at the source(I don't have the fla) with Sothink SWF Quicker I could export the sound but not the video.
What I did see was that the video was without sound(wierd but true).
Do any libraries exist with this functionality?

View 2 RepliesI tried with flex and java in the backend. In this, I am able to upload files till 100 MB using remote object (blazeDs) where we will read the file as byte array and send it to the java method. If the file size exceeds after that, then I get the run time error in IE.

View 1 RepliesIs there a way to extract a single file from a zip file in Adobe AIR?
I'm using NoChumps zip library to extract files from a zip. In this library the entire IDataStream is loaded into memory and after that you can extract file entries easily. In cases where the zip is 5 to 10MB there are no problems. But when the zip is 80MB, which many are, 80MB is loaded into memory. This causes the app to crash and run slow on mobile devices. According to the zip specification,
"A ZIP file is identified by the presence of a central directory located at the end of the file, this allows appending of new files. The directory stores a list of the names of the entries (files or directories) stored in the ZIP file, along with other metadata about the entry, and an offset into the ZIP file, pointing to the actual entry data."
Also, I do not have control of the size of zip files but most average is 60 to 100MB. Files inside are ~4MB.
I'm getting to work with with red5 and am trying to make a basic app that will stream a random video to the client. Let's say I have 3 flvs on my server, I'd like a client to connect to my red5 app and have 1 of these 3 videos streamed to them. The only streaming i've been able to figure out so far uses netStream.play("video.flv"), this doesn't work for me, I want the server to decide on the file to stream rather than the client.
View 1 RepliesI turn to you for help, dear sweet Kirupa Forumites. First, let me explain the problem: I have a flash file reading an external text file for the content. Everything works perfectly for nearly everyone - you click a menu button, and the content text comes up fine. However, a couple of people have found that the text shows up as "undefined". I have checked the player versions of the people where it doesn't work, and it is the same as for those where it does work, so that ain't the problem.
I don't understand why it works perfectly for nearly everyone, but a small number of people have this "undefined" text problem. It seems to be a problem with loading the external text file, but I don't know why. I have a main flash movie, and load the text in the first frame, using the following:
var my_content = new LoadVars();
my_content.load("content.txt");
my_content.onLoad = function(success){
if (success){
[Code]...
I then have a couple of dynamic text boxes in the main movie - one called ErrorText (for displaying an error message to the user) and one called ContentText (for displaying the content). I use an external menu swf which jumps to a specific frame in the main movie, depending on which button is clicked. Actionscript on the main movie frame for the first button does the following, with the other frames similarly configured:
ContentText.htmlText = my_content.content1;
stop();
My external text file is properly configured (content1=blah blah&content2=other blah blah) etc.
Does anyone have any advice on how I can solve this particular weird problem??
Is it possible to programmatically extract image files from a SWF file using C#? If so, how would I go about doing that? I know this question doesn't have a lot of detail but I'm just getting started on this and know very little about Flash.

View 1 Repliesconverting a Sound object into a WAV file (bytearray). The main issue is I need its samples to be 16-bit per channel, and Sound.extract() returns 32-bit floats (per channel).After that I was going to add the wav headers and write the bytearray to disc. I'm widely surprised for not having found an example of it working on the web

View 2 Replieshave been trying to extract information from this file on YouTube using AS3.
