View 2 RepliesI was wondering if there is a limit to how much Jaws (screen reader) can read in a text area in Flash. my text area contains about 15 lines, and always it stops reading at a certain point. In one test I was deleting one word, and then Jaws read one more for me(since I guess I deleted one). So it looks like there is a limit on how much it can read through AccessibiltyDescription property . How I can make the Jaws to read the whole content in the text area? I am working with flashbuilder and SDK 4.1.

View 5 RepliesI have a very general requirement that seemed very simple: Step 1: Load a new external JPEG image into a MC with a string var encoding a string caption in the URL link (VALUE="../fadeTest.swf?someTextVar=TestCaption") within the EMBED / OBJECT sections. I know how to do this and it semed to work fine. STEP2: When the JPEG is loaded I would like the substituted Text to Fade In over the JPEG. The JPEG should also fade in before the Text. The fade rate should be programmable.

Im doing live streaming directly from webcam like Ustream.TV. Im using Flash Media Server 3.5, and I record cuepoints of broadcaster with the method ns = new NetStream(); ns.send('functionName' , 'value'); I publish the content and record it in a .flv file. However when I download this FLV file and extract the metadata with tools like FLVTOOL2, or FLVMETA, the cuepoints that I recorded with ns.send() method doesn`t show. I know they are there since when I play the FLV file in another client, I can receive the calls for the 'functionName' in the exact time that I call while recording. What I`m doing wrong? I would like to encode recorded video with Flash Media Encoder and insert into it CuePoints that can call to the same function that I do with live streaming. To do that, first I need to know how the CuePoints are created and fixed into the FLV file that I record directly from webcam. I need to know how they are stored to do it manually in Flash Media Encoder.

I am sending a string to asp from flash that looks like this;

The problem is when asp (probably php too) reads this string, it reads it like this
[CODE]....
Now this sucks, is there a way to encrypt my flash string so asp will read the string corectly? I know asp is url encoding the flash string, but this bit of info does not seem to help.

View 9 RepliesI'm working on a textField overflow system for a project at the moment.I cant find a way to return a textField's htmlText complete with the original html tags.The system is used for splitting up a textField above a particular height into two textFields so the side of each other. The system works perfectly with unformatted text, but I cant seem to extract the formatting tags out of the left textField and apply them to the right - all I can get is plain text. (The system uses a StyleSheet by the way - so it is applied to both textFields).I 've tried:

We are using flash player to play swf files in our java application.So we tried to play static video its working fine.But we tried to play from file system using java servlet but we are not able to play the video.My doubt is:

On the java side I use Amf3Input and Amf3Output from BlazeDS (flex-messaging-common.jar and flex-messaging-core.jar).
The connection is correctly established, and if i try to send object from flex to java, i can easily read objects :

View 0 RepliesWe are trying to create a sqlite db file using java on the server, and encrypt it.Then we send the encrypted db file to a client's pc, which has an Adobe Air desktop app running.The air app then needs to be able to open/read-from the encrypted db file (client is read-only).We are using java 1.6, flex/actionscript 4.5, and Air 3.1.We can create the sqlite db file on the server and send it to the client, and it can be read by the client without issues, when we do not encrypt it.But we are having trouble with the encryption part. We've read quite a lot of documentation about Actionscript's ability to open encrypted sqlite files using AES + CCM (URL...).And we're trying to use java's crypto package to encrypt the sqlite db file.The encryption is important because we don't want the client to be able to open the sqlite db file with any sqlite browser, only with our Air application.
