We have fusion charts which is based on flash. In Windows XP, characters in Flash are square boxes. In other OS it shows normally. XML are sent to Flash using FlashVars. You can check charts here: [URL] And this is a code which is embedding chart. I have added BOM in the begining of DataXml.

This is a rather advanced problem but apparently I'm not the only one having it.So far I've been using external font loading in all my projects. A Tahoma.swf with a Tahoma Font library item and basically two lines of code:ActionScript Code:import flash.text.Font;Font.registerFont(TahomaSmooth);As soon as I load the font in my application it's ready for use. This is Jesse Freeman's method, in case it looks familiar.The problem is Flash CS4 doesn't embed polish fonts. And clients dnt lke t read tet that hs mssng chrcters. Unfortunately for anyone who isn't english Adobe didn't forsee that people might actually want to specify the character set when embeding Fonts. This strikes me as odd, as supposedly the whole font was supposed to be imported, at least that's how it originally worked, AFAIK.

I'm trying to prevent a default chart item roll over highlight in a Spark column chart.If you look at any of the chart examples on this page , when you roll over any of the chart series items, they turn a darkened shade of their original colour. This is what I want to prevent.
So far I have had no luck with using the itemRollOverColor property, as this only allows you to set it to one specific colour for the whole chart (my app has several different coloured series on the chart at once). Also, trying to leverage the itemRollOver event (with preventDefault() etc) hasn't worked either.
I'm trying to make chart which is combination of bar and line chart using Flex Charting API . Here x axis would be common and y axis would be different. note that y axis got different range of value one is % and other is amount. Any one got idea how to make this chart. I am seeing some strange behavior that pop up, though: sprites disappear, functions stop responding to user input, seams of the sprites become transparent -- all small issues but pretty hard to nail down because they happen in Mac only.

I'm running ant to compile a Flex application, and the build keeps failing when running it on a windows command line. Other people in my team can successfully run the very same build under mac and linux. This is the error shown in the command prompt:

All tokens are set in corresponding build.properties and filter .properties files (and, as I said before, it compiles perfectly under mac and linux). The windows version is 7 Ultimate, FLEX_HOME is set as an environment variable to the Flex SDK 3.5 (the 3.5.0.12683 build that comes with Adobe Flash Builder Burrito). ${compiler.fork} is set to false, to avoid an issue with the SDK and the source files being in different logic drives.

I am familiar with flex and am hoping that i be able to use it for the application. But i can not figure out a way to play the file in flex. I have been able to play the file only in windows media player and that required the installation of three codecs : Mp4Audio.ax, Mp4Video.ax, Mp4Src.ax.
As i see it, it will be very convenient if i could embed a windows media player plugin in flex or i could specify the audio and video codecs in the flash player
I have a flex application (.swf) and want to create a projector file. When I choose File-> create projector I get the .app file because I work on a Mac. I know I can create both projector formats for windows and mac using the export feature in Flash Professional.
