I have a swf file (little animation) created in swish and I want to put it in my windows form app like a header, I was reviewing the below link but it doesn't say too much, could someone give an example of how to do this?

My sample templates are missing, all that shows now are Cateregory: Advertising and different size banners. I searched my harddrive and found the rood folder where they are stored but only the folder for Advertising exist. I haven't deleted anything, so could it have been a glitch at installation, I had startup problems with Flash constantly crashing at the splash screen and finally had to uninstall and reinstall.

I am new to flash and was working with the Kirupa tutorial that showed the letters of Kirupa being moved and fading, all done within 30 frames. The example that was posted is so smooth and slow in its transition. I followed the directions but mine is quick and jerky.

View 1 RepliesI am working on a short animated story, which has a scrubbable timeline and chapter headings. I used TimelineMax for sequencing it. For the most part, it is working fine. I am seeing some strange behavior that pop up, though: sprites disappear, functions stop responding to user input, seams of the sprites become transparent -- all small issues but pretty hard to nail down because they happen in Mac only.
So I am wondering what is wrong with Flash, and why it misbehaves on a Mac?
I need sample code for a school project that involves showcasing/demonstrating stereotypical annoying Flash advertising tactics—for instance: spanning the whole screen, disabling the back button, making you wait before the close button appears, spoofing a virus scan, spawning a ton of popups, etc.
I have to turn in my own Flash source code for this project. I'm new to Flash, though, and I'd really like to find some sample code to work from or even just direct links to .swf files.Of course, these malicious and intrusive ads are everywhere when one doesn't want them, but now I can't find any good examples. I've spent hours clicking around on the seediest sites: free Viagra, guaranteed lottery winnings, URLs longer than my address bar—the whole gamut, basically.
I'm using Firefox with Adblock to inspect the list of blocked items on each site. I've also been using Firefox's "Page Info" command to inspect for media, but so far the only Flash ads that have been showing up are pretty tame.So can any of you point me to some obnoxious Flash ads? Anything I can grab with a browser addon like Flashgot would be great. Source code would be ideal, though I don't expect to find that.
I have a super involved and somewhat silly site I've been working on for a long time piecing together fragments of AS2 code and modifying them to the best of my limited ability.The site is here:http:[url]....I am finally adding the last steps, a series of contact forms with a PHP script in the back end. Anyway, I implemented a form script and have it triggered by clicking the "CONTACT" button you can see on the lower bar. So, click contact and once the form opens (an external SWF loaded into an MC), type away and everything works fine unless you use the letter "f" in either upper or lowercase. It causes the screen to flash and for the form input to lose focus.It works (in that you can enter everything normally -- the form doesn't function, but that's just the PHP which I have yet to edit.)

When the application starts up - the mx:HTML is set to a certain size, but can be enlarged if the application is maximized. These are the following conditions to replicate it: Issue only happens in Windows (Windows 7, not on Mac) Issue only happens with Reader X installed (not with previous versions) Issue only happens when running the built app, does not happen in debug / development mode from FlashBuilder

I'm running ant to compile a Flex application, and the build keeps failing when running it on a windows command line. Other people in my team can successfully run the very same build under mac and linux. This is the error shown in the command prompt:

All tokens are set in corresponding build.properties and filter .properties files (and, as I said before, it compiles perfectly under mac and linux). The windows version is 7 Ultimate, FLEX_HOME is set as an environment variable to the Flex SDK 3.5 (the 3.5.0.12683 build that comes with Adobe Flash Builder Burrito). ${compiler.fork} is set to false, to avoid an issue with the SDK and the source files being in different logic drives.
I'm using Flex in Flash Player 10 on Windows, using FileReference to load a file into memory, as below.My issue is that when a file is locked by Windows, my FileReference is not giving me any feedback that the file is inaccessible--it simply never dispatches any events after my calling load().Does anyone have insight into how to tell that Flash Player is unable to open the file?

From an Adobe Air application, I need a function to launch the Windows Virtual Keyboard (c:windowssystem32osk.exe). I tried the Native Process, but it didn't work when telling it to execute cmd.exe /C osk.exe. How should I launch the keyboard application from an Adobe Air application?

View 1 RepliesI have a mp4 file which is to be used in an application. Currently i am in the stage of figuring out the technology to be used for this job. I am familiar with flex and am hoping that i be able to use it for the application. But i can not figure out a way to play the file in flex. I have been able to play the file only in windows media player and that required the installation of three codecs : Mp4Audio.ax, Mp4Video.ax, Mp4Src.ax.
As i see it, it will be very convenient if i could embed a windows media player plugin in flex or i could specify the audio and video codecs in the flash player
I have a flex application (.swf) and want to create a projector file. When I choose File-> create projector I get the .app file because I work on a Mac. I know I can create both projector formats for windows and mac using the export feature in Flash Professional. But this is not an option since it's Flex.Is there any other way rather than switching to windows to create the file?
