View 1 RepliesI am trying to set the row background color for the advanced data grid control in Flex 3. Does anyone know if this is possible using a style function. Currently my style function looks like:

However the background color does not change.
I have heard on the grape vine that I may need to override some methods to enable the background color property.
Is there any way I can change the text color in my datagrid? I am looking for the simplest solution possible. I want to change all of the text to red instead of black. how to accomplish this?

This list have to have their names in different colors (gold and white).Upon mouse roll over they go on a "light green" color (JUST the text) and return to their regular state on mouse out.It used to be easy on AS2 since I had access to specific tutorials about that, but now on AS3 I feel completely lost.I've managed to get the text colors by a code I found that sorta "cheats" by replacing an inhibit class inside the datagrid forcing it to accept html code. View 2 RepliesMy problem is that empy rows (if there are more rows that dataSource items then there are empy rows) look identical to rows binded to dataSource items which are empy (see the difference?). The only way to know the difference is to hover over them with the mouse, and if they are empty there's no color change, otherwise there's the blue background of the selection.. I want to change the color or in some way hide empty rows, those that are not bound to a dataSource item.

I was able to set the selectionColor just fine but the border is still the default light blue color. I need it to be yellow.
Anyone know where I can find this style or override this border that is being set when selection happens within the skin itself.
