Flex :: Integrating Platform-specific API's In Multiplatform Mobile App (Titanium)?

My team is in the planning phase of a multiplatform mobile app. We're considering Adobe Air/Flex or Appcelerator Titanium instead of native development, but will eventually be needing to use an external API that is ported to iOS and Android. **(one that harnesses the device's camera)The idea would be to use platform detection and overloaded classes to determine which platform version of the API to import. Is something like this possible in either Adobe or Appcelerator? If so, would the native Objective-C or Java need to somehow be wrapped in Actionscript (if Adobe) or JavaScript (if Titanium)

First off I am new to using Flex, but I have pieced this app together with help from online tutorials and information. Basically my app is like a directory of names, addresses and so forth, but I also have additional fields of "week" and "day". What I am trying to do is have a list that shows only the names of, for example Week 1 - Monday. Below is some of the code I am using to help you understand what I am trying to do.

I've tried a number of options, sharedobject, xml, and junking up input/dynamic text in pretty awful ways; have also tried to "save on close" in AIR code. Any right path so when I port and test to iOS it will work...I'm not good in a flex/flash builder environment, as I am in flash 95% of the time.

I would like to move (right or left according the current view) between 2 views when I move my finger on the mobile screen; for example with Google+ mobile application, in profil section, you can change the view just on move your finger on the screen, and the offset and the moving speed must be checked before change complete view.

I have developed three different games in Flash (Action Script 3) and they run well on my smartphone when I export them via Adobe Air.I am creating an app over Titanium, and I intend to integrate these three games inside my main Titanium app. The problem is that Adobe Air only exports APKs files.
So I would like to know if there is anyway of making the games run inside the main app, without the need of calling external apps on the market, for example.

I have a server api wirtten in Java and client side written in flex and I am trying to configure them together using GraniteDS. However, when trying to add this line:

to the ApplicationContext.xml - then when trying to deploy my webapp (via glassfish) to a server i get this error:

Does anyone know if it's possible to integrate the ToushSmart's virtual keyboard with an Adobe AIR application? In most programs (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc), when a user touches a text field a little keyboard icon automatically pops up which, when pressed, will bring up the virtual keyboard. However, this doesn't happen when clicking on text input fields in Adobe AIR applications.
Has anyone had any experience working with AIR/Flash and touchscreens? Is there any API that can tell Windows (or the HP virtual keyboard specifically) that the user has clicked in a text field and that the virtual keyboard should be shown? The text fields are the standard kind (fl.controls.TextInput).

I recently I followed this great guide to integrate the subversion revision into exe/dll files generated from my c++/c# visual studio projects. Now I can easily right-click on an exe-file to find which revision was used to build the binary (see image below). I love this feature.
Is this possible to do the same in flash/flex when building air/stand-alone applications? I would like to tag both exe file and dlls.
Update with solution: Although the ANT-based solutions provided here aren't as smooth as the one where the svn info is burnt into .exe/.dll files (in my opinion), it has solved my problem and is now implemented in our productions. My setup is based both on Kevin's and frankhermes's answeres but uses SubMCRev.exe instead of svn.exe or jar files. In our implementation we dump the svn revision to the logfile at startup. I am going to make an Arabic application using Flex builder 4.5. I have two questions that need to be answered What is the difference between ActionScript Mobile Project and Flex Mobile Project. (AS Mobile Project supports iOS and Android but I doubt about it!!)

I am working on Adobe air for making a cross-platform project which is running on iOS, Android, Mac and windows. I have a plan to make it runnable on web as well. I am looking for the best approach for making artwork for this project as it is crossed platform. Right now I am thinking to separate backend logic from front-end i.e put layout for every platform separately.

I have a grails application using jquery mobile. I am hoping to find some way to access the camera on the devices. I thought about using flash to grab the webcam but that obviously wont work on Apple devices. Does anyone know of a way to do it and keep it all browser based? I am hoping that there is a plugin somewhere or maybe html5 has some magic in there that supports it.

i've got a few fonts embedded and am using them in my mobile application, and they are all working, except for the ones i try to use for the "ActionBar". They work everywhere else, and substituting "Comic Sans MS" for "titleCGF" changes it to Comic Sans. So why won't it work with my custom fontFamily?

I have a flex mobile application that I am working on that I am having issues with selecting an image from roll/taking a picture. My application is not tabbed, however one part of it contains a Tabbed View Navigator with tabs across the bottom. Within one of those tabs, I have the ability to upload an image to a webservice that I have created. However, when I select an image or take the picture, it pops back out to the initial splash screen and the application restarts. If I use the component standalone (outside of the tabbed view navigator) it selects the image and uploads without any problem.

i have a mobile application that i am attempting to use to load an interactive .swf file. At first, i was just going to use the .mxml applications from my other project file in flex, but they're for desktop apps and running on Flex 3.6, and Mobile apps can't be built on less than 4.5 :P
so, i figured i'd export the first project to a .swf, and load it in my mobile application, but nothing i do will get it to show up. anyone know a solution?

recently ive been doing research and testing of Flex Mobile framework for iOS and Android platforms, to see some good results. I could not, however, find enough information (that are not outdated) about Flex Mobile on Symbian OS.
Is it possible, to package Flex mobile application (built in Flash Builder 4.6) also for Symbian OS? Flash builder only offers iOS, Android and Blackberry platform packaging. Does Symbian OS support AIR3 platform? - from what i understand, only Flash Lite is supported. Is Flash Lite capable of rendering Flex Mobile apps?
