I am working on integrating an air application with a web application and for the most part it works.The only issue that I am having is that when I attempt to pass variables from my launching badge, the application does not load and I get no errors from my swf.

View 1 RepliesI've got a strange situation; when I run a Flex app from Eclipse (i.e. click run as web app), my remote calls always hang. In Firefox, they return as failed. But when I open up a browser and browse to my .html file in the bin-debug folder, the remote calls work.
View 2 RepliesI have setup a Flash viewer in a HTML Div container. In the Flash I have put a button which, when clicked, launches a new browser window with another site I've done to appear in. When I test this in Flash its working fine and launches the new window as it should. But when I go into Dreamweaver where I have placed the Swf. in the Div container, I test it locally in a Firefox browser window. The viewer appears and it works correctly, but when I click the button to launch the new browser window it just opens a window with an error msg 'unable to connect, etc'.

Currently the site is a main flash file with all the content delivered via a main.as file and then populated via images and videos held in folders on the web.
In one section we have an email link.
I was using Email[url]... and it worked fine. It launched the email program and put the email address in ready to go.
When I added the subject element as below[url]...
it now does what it should with the email program but it also opens a blank webpage.
What can I do to get rid of the blank web page opening?

I have a full screen flex application and I want the user to be able to scroll using browser scrollbars. I don't need mousewheel in the flex application and flex appears to block mousewheel events within itself. So mousewheel events do nothing.

I read that using Flash Builder 4.5.1 you can create one application and run it on a mobile device, in Internet browser and in Desktop AIR. However, I created a mobile application and the only option to run it is 'Run as mobile application'. Is it really possible to run the same Flex application in browser and on mobile?

I have a flex 3 application that creates an Image from a canvas which the user draws on. I use the ImageSnapshot class to create the image

I want the user to be able to print or save the image. I can use the following code to print the image but flex does not provide good control over printing across multiple pages

I've written a little video game in Flex that runs in a browser. The player moves by pushing the arrow buttons on the keyboard, so I need to capture those keystrokes. I'm developing an application for the Blackberry Playbook using Flash Burrito 4.5 and Flex. I'd like to create a file browser to allow users to load images from the local system into the application. I followed this example [URL] When I click on the Load Image button in the simulator however, the file browser pops up but tells me that "no file was found with the specified filter", even though I don't specify any filter or even if I specify a . filter.
View 2 RepliesI want to open a pdf/excel/doc using flex, as all know we can use navigateToUrl(URL) method to open a file from the server. But my problem is those files are encrypted in the server, so I load the files as follows

I'm developing a Application in Flash Builder 4.5 to control an server application, also not a classical Website. All is Spark and I set the minHeight and minWidth-Properties for the , because i have an Image and Navigators, and there becomes a strange effect, when the browserwindow is sliding smaller that the min-Properties.The content and there scrollbars are already controlled over the parent containers, thats not the probelm.
Summary: What i expect from a upToDate-Application is:When the Browserwindow is larger than the min-Properties, but too small for the content, the Application respectively the container should control the scroll bars.If is the Browser-Window smaller than the min-Properties, i expecting scollbars from the browser. I think, in this case, the html-wrapper needs knowledge about the min-properties.
I made air application which contain drag and drop functionality. The application works fine when I run it from flash. I'm trying to use this application on web site but unfortunately when I'm trying to run the application I get error:
VerifyError: Error #1014: Class flash.events::NativeDragEvent could not be found.
It looks like Flash Player don't know this class.

View 2 RepliesI need some little 3D rendering in my browser application. Unfortunatly the Internet Explorer 8 is not going to support WebGL, Canvas 2D or SVG. And the Windows XP users can't install the IE9 (which supports at least Canvas 2D). What do you think about Plugin-based alternatives?

In the simple example of Skype, the OS returns control to the Flex app when Skype exits. But what about native applications which have their own event model and wants to communicate with the Flex event model. how can i delete storage directory instances or folder while uninstalling any air application. In my application when i first time run my application, application copy some data from application directory to application storage directory. now i want to delete all data and application directory folder also while uninstalling application.

If I use the the tag, I can do it; however the xml compiles into my swf. How can I retain the xml file in my release build?
