Flex :: Remove Button In ItemRenderer Giving Error

I am using the following .as file as the component for an itemrenderer in a list. Basically each item is rendered in a TextInput and each TextInput has a remove button as you can see from the code. When clicking the remove button, I want to remove the selectedItem..so I am putting the function removeItem() in MainMxml.xml and calling it from the .as file.
However I am getting an error "Cannot access a method or property of a null object reference".

I am populating 3 columns of my datagrid using a simple XML file. The last column is supposed to be an itemrenderer, basically a Button. However the button should appear only on certain rows of the 3rd column of the datagrid depending on the value from the XML file, which is either "true" or "false". So basically I want to set the Visible property of the button in the itemrenderer to true or false.

I have referred this for creating error message tool tips, to be displayed continuously unless the error is resolved by the user. :: [URL]
But, this is being applied to a pop-up window visualized as a pop-up form.
When the user clicks 'CANCEL' button, I want the error message tooltips if present to be cleared off from the screen. The message tool tips remains on the screen even if the CANCEL button is clicked.

I've got a problem in an ItemRenderer in Flex 3.5. I've looked at the other posts regarding this error but still can't figure it out. The ItemRenderer is part of an AdvancedDataGrid who's data provider is HierarchicalData. I'm getting the ArgumentError but the trace doesn't go to any of my code. I've gone through in debug mode tons of times but it looks like it doesn't happen until after my code runs. Quite strange.
The item renderer has a couple different parts. It figures out what row it should be drawing for based on the xml data and then adds labels and sprites appropriately.
Here is one of the methods that gets called if the itemrenderer is on a certain row.

I have a list with a itemrenderer. When I put a button in the itemrenderer I can not interact with it. If I rollover the button the list item rollover is triggered but not the button's rollover. I can't click on the button either. You can see below I have a click event set in the itemrenderer and it is not called on click when I run app. Must I override rollover and click methods of itemrender? I have a DataGrid with an drop-in Button itemRenderer:

However, the button extends all the way both the right and left edge of the DataGridColumn. I've tried messing with the width properties and paddingLeft and paddingRight styles of both the DataGridColumn and the itemRenderer, but nothing seems to work. NOTE: I do not want to use a Container or UIComponent with the Button as a child as the itemRenderer - too much code.

Inside a datagrid, I essentially want to create a "download button" itemrenderer to the right of the name of a downloadable object, resulting in something like the following link: [URL]
The download function operates upon the currently selected row and is called when one of the download buttons is clicked. Therefore, I am wondering if anybody knows of a way to select the row the itemrenderer button is contained within as the active row when one of the download buttons is clicked.

I am trying to retrieve the users MAC address to implement an authorization process on a AIR application. I have read that this is possible with the latest version of the AIR SDK (2.0).I am developing in Flash Builder and have discovered that it does not ship with the latest AIR SDK. Therefore I have tried two seperate solutions:
1) Following these instructions for overlaying the latest AIR SDK onto the current Flex SDK.URL...
2) Downloading the latest Flex SDK (4.1) and using that.
In both of these cases Flash Builder then recognises the NetworkInterface and NetworkInfo classes implying that the overlaying of the AIR SDK has been successfully. However when I then run the app the debugger throws an error on the following line:[code]I am not sure what steps to take next. I haven't found much about this online. I'm trying to place an instance of a movieclip (instance name: tehMovieClip) from the library within another movieclip (instance name: parentMovieClip) on the stage. tehMovieClip, the movieclip going inside another movieclip, belongs to a class called CollisonDetection (linkage properties, class:CollisonDetection, Base Class: flash.display.MovieClip). When I put tehMovieClip inside parentMovieClip, I get this runtime error:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
If I just place tehMovieClip on the stage by itself, it works fine but I need it to be inside parentMovieClip.

So I have a method that takes in a String and then is suppose to set the dynamic textbox on a button to said String.

I really don't understand why this method is producing a 1119 error. Access of a possibly undefined property btext through a reference with static type Button.as The instance name of the Dynamic Textbox is btext and I have tried deleting the textbox and making a new one however this still produces a 1119 error. I also read on another stack question that trying this['btext'].text = caption; which gave me plenty of runtime errors.

I have a flash rotators for a website i am doing for a client.I am able to view and use them if i load them off my computer. But as soon as i load them on to any of my servers and try to access them i am presented with an IO error 2032Now i know this means it cant find the files it needs to load so i then changed all the links to absolutes when it was calling for the necessary files and i still get the error. I have nested my animation into a movie clip and have tried to use a pre-loader on it. The nested movie clip opening screen as a button on and the second screen as back and forward buttons. The movie clip works fine no problem until adding it to the pre-loader. The code for the pre-loader is (below) on frame 1 frame 2 to is tells it to stop and also were my nested movie clip is

I have a page that I'm working on that works great except I keep getting an "Output" message stating: TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at StillFrameFoto_fla::MainTimeline/portfolioOut() I'm pretty sure I just need to get rid of my button instance, but I don't know how.
