I have a MainPage, on initialize I am calling a method which would create a SWFLoader object (aka LoginPage) and loads it in the MainPage. When we run the MainPage in 800x500 window, the LoginPage loads in that window size, however when we maximize the window the content of the LoginPage gets resized to 1027X660, but the border remains 800x500, and the remainig area of the window stays blank.
View 1 RepliesI have a complicated problem with a couple of SWFLoaders.I have an application that loads a swf with a SWFLoader. The loaded swf loads another swf (just a compiled fla). I am adding all my resize and position logic in my loaded swf and it works good on event resize, but when I'm trying to run the same code in my swfs applicationComplete it fails. The same code on startup works great if I run my swf as a standanlone, but for some reason the scale is different when I load it into my application.[code]swfLoader is my loaded swf's swfloader that loads my compiled fla. That is what I need to resize and position to the center. The next numbers are width and height. FlexLoader is the swfLoaders loader (or content if you will). The numbers are width, height, scaleX and scaleY.As you can see the size is the same (this is also the same for the loaded swfs application), but the scale is different. Both scales are calculated from with 1280 and height 720 wich is my compiled fla's size.The only reason why I'm messing around with scale at all is that I can't find the accurate width of my compiled fla to center it (application.width - loadedSwf.width / 2)The part I'm not getting is why the scales are different? What part am I missing?
View 1 RepliesI am going to make an image gallery that loads jpg's. Around the jpg is going to be a border that resizes depending on the demensions of the image. I want the border to expand so that it encompasses the image, BUT i dont want the width of the border to change. SO, would this work:
Break the border up into 4 MC's (topbar, bottombar, leftbar, rightbar), and have the topbar and bottombar's width resize according to the jpg loaded, aswell as its _y postion change according to the height of the jpg, and have the side bars height resize according to the height of the jpg and its x position change according to the width of the jpg. If it did it right, could this result in a border that resizes depending on the demension of the dynamically loaded jpg, but the actualy width of the boarder all the way around stays the same? I'm thinking that I'm correct, but just wanted to make sure there wasnt any glaring problems before I procceded.

View 1 RepliesCurrently I am using the gallery that has been posted on a link on Kirupa.com where it uses XML and loads in my case .swfs into a border that resizes according to the size of what is loaded. The reason I am using .swfs is because I plan to somehow make it so that the artwork being loaded can be zoomed in on once they are loaded, how I am not sure quite yet. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could please tell me why that sometimes the .swfs load once or twice and then when clicking on other artwork thumbnails they do not load at all. THis just happens for the swfs and not when I would use the jpegs instead of swfs. The swfs just do not seem to be loading as planned, sometimes one or two load sometimes none. Was wondering if someone knew why this is happening and could please give me some help if possible, maybe pertaining to actionscript?[code]

I have a background with a border that is behind dynamic images. I am trying to resize the background to custom fit each jpg that is loaded. However, I cannot get the width/height from the movieclip the jpgs are loaded into and I can't get the width/height from the jpgs.
Here is what I tried:

If i cant get a border to auto resize to the MC as MC's are load with attachMovie(); , can i get a border to animate a resize to a specific ._height, ._width (also with a var speed = #)? Am i just totally F'ing this thing up or what. Heres and example: [URL] i would make a second frame and have the AS for the border load a different value and a new MC.

Flex is good at produce code, whereas Flash is good at animation, how the integration is done? If I want to insert the animation produced by flash, what's the recommend way to do the integration? Do I need to use SWFLoader?

and i have to call this redrawborder function inside the MOUSE_MOVE listener that controls the resizing (so that i am constantly removing and redrawing the border). constantly removing and redrawing the frame seems very inefficient. is there some property or better why to do this? i want to have, displayobj.scaleChildren = false or something like that

I have one Swfloader. This swfloader loads file A.swf.On creationComplete event, File A.swf loads another swf(file B.swf).
Everything works fine when I run the application once in the same machine.But when I run two or more instance of the application, the first works fine (both file A and B are loaded) but the second swf (file B) is not loaded by file A.why the first swf (file A) doesn't load file B, when the application is running in multiple instance ?

View 1 RepliesI want to load in a SWF and set it to fit in the window, whilst keeping it's aspect ratio.When I do this by setting the height and width of the SWFLoader, the SWF will resize to best fit in the space (as it is keeping it's aspect ratio).However I can't find a way to detect the height and width of that SWF now it has been resized. The size of the SWFLoader reflects what I set it to, and the SWFLoader.LoaderInfo size seems to be totally random.
I have also tried the loaderInfo.content, but again I don't get a value that compares to the size of the SWF I have loaded (or at lease the size of what is visible).The only thing I can think to do is to know the height and width before and then figure out the aspect ratio, so if I resize the width to 50% of the window, I can do the maths on the height to make the swf loader the same height as it's scaled content.
I have an AIR application, I use SwfLoader to load another swf file to display in this app. The problem is the CPU Usage always takes over 50%, but it only takes 15% when the swf file runs in standalone mode.

View 2 RepliesI'm trying to load windowed sub-application in another windowed application, The requirement is to replace one loaded application with another on user action.
I tried the documented method of unloadAndStop() on the swfLoader in the main windowed application, but somehow during memory profiling I could see the instances of those applications were maintained in the memory even after explicitly running garbage collection.
Where as If I make those windowed application as modules, and then try to load them using the Moduleloader things work smoothly and unloaded modules are removed from memory.
I am trying to scale a swf that has been loaded via a swfloader. When I get the complete event or the init event the dimensions of the swfloader are still zero. I don't see a value in the dimensions until I do a resize of the browser window. The swf is just an animation. Trying to resize the actual swf content gives inconsistent results.
