I have a partial solution but it has two problems:

ActionScript 1/2 :: 2 X Remove/attach Mc In One RollOver Event Doesn't Work
Nov 26, 2009I'm using removeMovieClip and AttachMovie twice in one rollOver event, but only the second one works. Here's the code:

So - if there is only remove/attach of "LetP" everything works fine, but whene I add ramove/attach "k" only the "k" works, the "LetP" doesn't change.
Should I put it into a function? Or is there another reason?
Actually I just checked and the removeMovieClip doesn't work in both cases. Is that becouse actionscript is attached to object itself instead of a dedicated actionscript layer?
ActionScript 3.0 :: Timer Event Rollover Repeating - Rollover Action Would Go After The Set Amount Of Time
Feb 18, 2010The script for my timer worked for one button but as soon as I set up the other 2 buttons to do the same, I started having a problem where the rollover action would go after the set amount of time was up but then would repeat itself once after the set amount of time was up again. just to clarify, if it needs it, the reason I don't have a rollout attached to these buttons is because I want the menu to stay out until you leave the menu area
so I have an invisible button called menuin_btn which sits to the right of the menu and covers the rest of the stage where the content will be, so you have to rollover that area for the menu to roll back in. The "rollin" in my code brings the movie clip to frame 16 (the end) where I have a gotoAndStop(1); command to get it back to frame 1 so the rollover can be used again. I've attached a zip with my current flash file and swf and here is what my current script looks like on the main scene:

My datagrid headertext names are "name" "age" "rollno" "image", where image also will be loading externally thru an xml file. now when i am pressing the deleteRow button, whole row is getting deleted but an image icon is still appearing under "image" headertext. It was not an actual image but a blank image icon kind of thing is appearing, how to remove the icon. i want my whole row to be deleted. but its not happening.

Nov 13, 2009I'm trying to create a rollover for a movie clip. On rollover, a line underlines the text,and when it rolls out, the underline reverses. This works fine the first time. The next time you rollover, the animation doesn't work. Then when you move the mouse off the button, a line appears under the text and doesn't go away. Here's my code on the invisible button.

Nov 18, 2010I have a rollOver event on a pop-up button in flex. I want that the menu is opened on rollover. But if the user accidentally goes with the mouse over the component the menu should not be displayed. So on rollOver I want to start a timer (wait for half second) and than check if the user is still on the pop-up button (rollOut was not fired).

Actionscript 3 :: Creating A Complex Flash Rollover In Stages (loop > Rollover Animation > Timed Animation)
Jan 24, 2012Okay, now things are getting a little complicated. I need to build a Flash object that can sit over the corner of an image to serve extra content. It's way beyond my Flash skill level, my work is usually limited to print work in Photoshop and Illustrator so please excuse me if any of the following isn't clear. I am trying to learn though, So this is how it's all supposed to work, along with my issues; When the image & Flash item load a small looping animation will play to draw the eye/show the item as interactive.
When the user rolls over this the corner will peelback. I have a working peelback animation for the rollover, that reacts to mouse over/mouse off, and a looping animation for the initial, but I cannot work out how to make the initial loop until mouseover, then play the peelback when the mouse is over. And go back to the initial animation loop if the user rolls off. (Each of these animations is stored as a movie clip in the Library)
Then it gets more complicated... if the user stays on the corner until it is fully peeled back I need to make a small countdown (sort of a 3, 2, 1 situation) show, before launching a lightbox (would this have to be jQuery, or could it be done in Flash?) in the browser to serve the content.

Jul 2, 2011I'm trying to make a Flex-based desktop application consume messages from an ActiveMQ topic with a durable subscription, using the JMS bridge of BlazeDS. The basic scenario is as follows: Messages are produced by other producers in the topic to which the Flex client is subscribed. The Flex client may go offline from time to time, but it must receive all the messages it has missed while being offline when it connects to BlazeDS again. (Of course the Flex client connects with the same client ID every time). It can not be guaranteed that the Flex client is shut down gracefully.
Everything works fine if I explicitly disconnect my consumer on the Flex side by calling disconnect() - I do it in the exit handler of the application. However, due to #3 above, it is not guaranteed that disconnect() is called all the time. When the Flex client shuts down without calling disconnect(), it seems that the subscription of the "proxy JMS client" that BlazeDS creates and associates to the Flex client stays active towards ActiveMQ, so ActiveMQ still thinks that the client is logged in. When the Flex app starts up the next time, it is unable to log in to BlazeDS because ActiveMQ refuses its subscription, claiming that the client ID is already taken. Why is it so and what can I do here to ensure that BlazeDS makes the "proxy JMS client" offline in ActiveMQ when its real Flex counterpart terminates unexpectedly?
More detailed information: some debugging revealed that:
