When the checkbox (cb1) is clicked the "my_Dyn_Txt1" is visible. The problem I'm having is - when I move forwad and back in my frames the checkboxes which were clicked are not visible due to
Code: my_Dyn_Txt1._visible = false
How can I make ("my_Dyn_Txt1"), a clicked checkbox STAY VISIBLE even after I move forwad and back in my FLA frames?
Let's say I have a canvas with a fixed height and a vertical scroll bar. And the canvas has 10 children in a vertical line (like a VBox) whose combined height exceeds the height of the canvas. Based on the scroll bar position, only some of the children will be visible at a time.Is it possible to determine which children are actually visible? Or whether or not a specific child is visible on screen?
I have a web-application whose UI is implemented in GXT (ext GWT).Now I want to switch to Flex but as the application is so large that I cannot afford to start migrating the whole application at once.So I have decided to migrate slowly. So what I want is to bring up a Flex panel on the click of a GXT's button.Basically the idea is how to make Flex components listen to the events generated by GXT's component.
Flex 4 Spark component Panel - Hide Title Bar I have used Spark panel to display the object inside a container. The panel and the inside elements are created dynamically. (using ActionScript). I need to remove the title bar of the panel in actionscript. When i tried to remove that, i am unable to hide the same. Tried below ways.
I'm using Flash Cs4 with As3 to make a project. In part of it I have an object which is invisible, but when a button is pressed is made visible. Only problem is, it won't make it visible.
I have a clip which is basically a set of button clips. When a button is clicked it fades (i used the ._alpha property) and finally when its 0 alpha, it removes itself (by using _visible=0 property). It works perfectly. Now when another button is clicked. I wanted the button which is currently not visible to restore its visibility. But using _visible=1; just isnt doing it (pastbutton._visible=1;). I tried a lot of trouble shooting, trace shows that the correct button path of the last invisible button is stored in pastbutton. But still when the next line says pastbutton._visible=1 still it doesn't restore the target button which is stored in the pastbutton variable.
I'm extending the Flex 3 panel component. I need to figure out the width of the title's text. Because, title is a private variable in panel, I can't access it via title.width.I know the font, fontsize (14), and length of the title (which will vary). Knowing this info is there a way to calculate how many pixels wide the title is?
Since i upgraded to Flashplayer 9.0.124.0 i've noticed that using textures on 3D Objects via the beginBitmapFill method and setting the smooth attribute to 'true' causes the player to hang a few milliseconds at random. Setting smooth to 'false', the player runs without any hang. I tested this on different machines. An upgrade to player 10 beta didn't cure the symptoms but the hangs appear less in time. Has anyone else such problems or an idea what is going on?
I am trying to determine the global coordinates of the visible rectangle that is currently rendered on the stage.
Specifically, if a canvas has an explicit height and width and is a child of a panel that has a scrollbar, the scrollbar can "hide" a part of the canvas. ContentToGlobal(x,y) provides the global position of the content at the time, but content coordinates can scroll off the boundaries of the parent panel and continue to give x,y coordinates that are not visible.
Is there a way to determine the viewable rectangle that is not hidden by anything?
I am trying to use the _visible property of loaded swf files to trigger the opening animations of these files to prevent the animations from playing before the preceding swf animation finishes. The problem is that the property of the loaded swf files read true when false and vice versa. If you click the link again, the property reads correctly (false when false etc). The onEnterFrame handler seems to be the issue, but I need it to read the property. The code is a bit lengthy, but I posted it for reference sake.
// the purpose is to unload the content and use the width property // or visible property to trigger the opening animation // of the next swf file onSelfEvent (load) {
If I set customComponent.Visible to false, the component gets hidden (as expected). But doesn't trigger the hideFX at all. Am I doing something wrong? Or isn't this the correct way to use hideEffect and showEffect?
I want to introduce a canvas component by zooming from a height & width of 0.0 to 1.0. I want the component to be invisible until the zoom begins and then for it to be visible when it begins zooming.
However, if I bind the zoom effect to a showEffect trigger on the component and then make the component visible, it will first show the component at its regular size for a split second before it begins the zoom effect. If I combine the zoom effect and setting the component visible together in a parallel, it will also flash the component at its regular size for a split second before the zoom. If I make the component visible when the zoom effect starts through its effectStart event, it still does it. Does anyone know how to make it visible only when the zoom effect begins so that it doesn't flash the component at its regular size for a split second before the zoom effect?
on frame 1 I've got 10 movieclips and each movieclip has a toggle button to make it visible true and false.
How do write the script to do the following on frame 10?
if only 1 movieclip is visible make one_mc visible true if only 2 movieclips are visible make two_mc visible true if only 3 movieclips are visible make three_mc visible true ... so on for all 10 hope this make sense.
That is I want to hide the contact_person and list nodes.Deleting the nodes from the dataprovider cannot be done.So what i did was to create a custom tree data descriptor by extending DefaultDataDescriptor. Then override the getChildren method and applied a filterfunction to the collection returned by super.getChildren.The problem is when i hide the 'list' node I cannot have the child nodes to show up.So is there any way I can hide 'list' but show the children of 'node'?
I have an intropage with two mc buttons that resides in another mc. They are for an English and a Dutch part. So when I click on either one of them, they go to the "Home" label (frame 2). But now at the same time when the main timeline goes to "Home" I want the movieclip container that contains 6 buttons (The English or Dutch ones) to be visible false or true when I click on one or the other. As a part of the code will show some of you there must be an 1119 error that I can't figure out. It has to do with the FrameLabel that is supposedly undifined. [code]If i remove the if statement and just put the visible statement that also gives an error. But maybe the conflict could be that btnTxtFrameN_mc nor btnTxtFrameE_mc exist on the first frame where I wrote the code and only appear as from label "Home" (second frame)
i've downloaded the text layout component from adobe site and i install it with extension manager but i didn't find the component in the flash component panel
I have a map in a panel. When maximizing the panel, the map remain the smaller size. How to make the map growing synchronizely with the Panel? When maximizing the Panel,I added Resize Effects. How to apply Resize effects on the Map when the extent of the map changing? It seems to me that I should dispatch extentChange event when maximizing the panel.
I discovered this while doing some programmatic panel resizing:Components in a spark Panel will still be visible when their location is outside the physical Panel boundaries. This does not happen with the mx Panel.unning Flex 4.1 on Windows 7I tried putting mx and spark controls in the spark Panel, and they both appear outside of the boundaries. Note this doesn't happen with the mx Panel. What am I missing to make the spark behave like the mxSample Code:
I'm looking to add a couple of buttons to the title bar of a Spark Panel or Spark TitleWindow. Is this possible to do without making the panel from scratch?
I want to create a panel docking to a pop up panel in my flex app, like Winamp's playlist window can dock to main window. but I didn't find any useful on docking in flex
I've traced the PopUpManager, but I didn't find any available interfaces or events about popup window's moving, I think it's design shouldn't be so bad.
some may know im building a hell-of-a-component. which basically types text. i figured out how to get a movieclip to act as a cursor. but now that my list of options/attributes/settings or whatever you want to call them are so huge, i decided i really had to make a custom UI. now ive done most of it now (hence the array.sort() question earlier - thanks sen! ) but i want to be able to preview what the current cursor is (if they choose to use a movieclip!).
the path of the movieclip to be used as a cursor is, from within the component is: Typr.cursorMC i tried using xch.Typr.cursorMC but that didnt work and ive no idea how i could link in with a currently open flash document. or if its even possible.
