Image - Foreach File In A Folder In Flash?

I have an image slideshow program working right now and it takes in a folder of a hard coded in number of images. I would like to change this so that it can take in a folder and will display all of them no matter the number. Is there a way to do this in flash? I'm thinking something like the foreach loop in perl or other scripting language. It is possible to store then number of images in a text file but I also don't know how to read that in flash either. I'm working in actionscript 3.

i have situation in which i have some library projects, say
"DataProcessors","Lib2"
, included in my lets say "MainProject" (a web project) placed on directory
"E:in-debugMainProject.swf"
, when i build the project it automatically place all the libs .swf in its "E:in-debug" folder, but when i debug or run the project it it gives loading error that
"E:DataProcessors.swf"
not found but i have those lib files on
"E:in-debugDataProcessors.swf"..
what could be the possible errors.

When I use swfobject (or, for that matter, publish from Flash)...if my HTML file is in the same folder as my Flash .swf (called "bin")...the flash file displays as a blank white page. I can tell the .swf is on the page, because when I right-click I see the flash context menu...however, the swf is blank. So the path isn't written incorrectly.If I move the HTML file inside the "bin" folder and change the path from "bin/myFile.swf" to "myFile.swf" everything works again...what gives?I think it might have something to do with using the Loader class...I am using loaders to loader external .jpeg files. But I don't know what to do about this other than to keep my HTML files in my "bin" folder which is a bit of a pain.

im using the jpgEncoder class to create an image file and what im trying to do is save that to a folder on a server, then im going to read the contents of the folder back into flash. I cant for the life of me figure out how i get the image to the folder though, i know the jpeg is being created as ive been saving it to my own pc. Can i just send the image straight to a folder without the need for php?

I usually work with many AS files in the same folder and it is easy to address those files to each other. But I now have a sub folder inside the name folder which stores most of my files; and there is another as file inside that sub folder. How can I change variables of the AS file(inside the sub folder) from the AS files from the main folder and vice verses.

I try to open pdfs or folders (in finder/explorer) triggered by a mouse click in an swf application running in flash player. opening a pdf via urlRequest and navigateToUrl() always opens the browser.

i am trying to create a flash movie for my browser page. i am able to import and export the movie just fine, the problem comes after i export the movie. As long as i leave the flash file in the folder it was created in things work great. If i try to move the folder or rename the folder it stops working. It acts like it cant find the flv file i created the flash with. if i rename or move the folder back where it was created things work fine.

When I try to publish my flash file to a windows projector file (exe), it doesnt show up in the folder that I have it set to save to. I'm trying to get specific variables out of a for each loop. These variables are used to display a click event on a marker on a map. If you click the marker on the map, the details pop over it. Now these details are being overwritten each time the loop starts (50 times). The solution I'm looking for, let's me select a marker on the map with the according detail attached to it.
There might be an easy solution but I haven't found it yet.

Currently the code I'm using can only load picture with the file name starting from 0. And it will stop loading the image if there is any image missing between the 30 images. How can I make it load from the last 30 images uploaded and enable to continue load in the images if there is any image missing in between? I have the limit of 30 set on somewhere else. Where it will stop loading after it reached 30.

I have a file with a many button instances, the names of which I've put into 2 different arrays. I'm adding an eventListener to each button dynamically using the forEach...in method. I want the buttons in the first array to call a function and the buttons in the second array to call a different function. I'm getting no errors on compilation, but my problem is that buttons in both arrays are calling both functions.

I got a europe map designed in flash (1 movieclip, 1 frame, really simple), which contains the map as drawing objects directly inside the scene and in addition some specific countries as clickable buttons. So far it's working fine. What I need now is to make all the other drawing objects clickable without having to edit and script each object. I'm thinking about something like this (pseudo code):

I've got e website where the thumbnails for the gallery are dispaly using:

how to count the number of image files in a folder?The swf is gonna be launched locally, not on a server... so i guess php is not gonna work... The photos are gonna be named according to the person in the photo, so i can't count using the naming method ( 1.jpg, 2.jpg ) also.

Is there any way to program XML to call on ALL the images in a folder and have them work in a flash slide show. Rather than identifiying them by thier specific names can a system be used to identify what order they are to be presented regardless of how many you add or remove from the folder?
in other words is their a way to make an XML viewer that is adaptive and not restricted to "specified" images in a folder. It will just display the all the images that are currently in that folder.
