I am trying to make a website out of flash and I know nothing about what to do but i am just going to try it one step at a time. I am trying to make a billboard within a flash website.The billboard is on a wall of the image on the main stage. The billboard has been converted into a movie clip symbol, and within that symbol are several pictures. I want the billboard to transition from one image to the next,then back to the top and start again using the Blinds transition. View 5 RepliesI need to make a flash website for one of my assignments, but whenever Im try and make something, none of my action script is compiled.Ive done up a test file that it 2 frames, with a stop(); function on the first frame, no other action script. I get no errors, however it just continues to loop through all the frames. Here's the .fla:

Another interesting this is I can type gibberish into it and I dont get any compiler errors....its as if it doesnt even look at my actionscript. Even if i purposely put and error in, nothing at all...
It has to be something Im doing when working, as i can open up other files that Ive made in my class and publish them without this problem happening...I can even edit them a bit, but after a short while of editing (im not sure when) then suddenly this problem appears in them.

The video is currently autoplaying when i export.All i want is for it to open my website in the same window as the intro played when the video ends.I dont need a "skip intro button" or anything.I just want it to play the intro when you go to my site, and then bring up the index page of my site after it plays.

I'm using AS3 and Flash Cs5 and trying to make an opening door effect for a flash website.I used this code which seemed to work:

But now none of the actions on frame 6 will work now. Its like something in this codeis preventing actions from working in the goto frame. Ive tried stop(); and gotoandplay, and nothing seems to be working.
I am creating website for our company which uses intranet. We require the best quality website with high resolution pics. When I published it using FLASH CS4. It looks like low quality pics & even the whole .swf file looks low quality movie.

Is it possible to make the flash content go back to some previous frame when the user clicks on the back button in the browser? Similarly, can the the refresh button be used to refresh to the same frame and not go back to the starting frame?

I had got as far as getting it to work in flash when you preview it there. But I tried to publish it and it sits at the TL at its normal size. It just goes straight to the bottom then snaps back up to the top, making it impossible to really view and click on the images in the bottom and center rows. I have made an intro with Adobe Flash using ActionScript 2.0. This intro consists of 82 frames. I want to play my intro once to people visiting my website and subsequently (when the visitor of my site sees frame 82) the browser has to be send to the real mainpage of my site. I am looking at doing it in Javascript but thought I could do the same thing in Flash. (maybe :P)
This is the Javascript idea.
Basically I would want it to be the same as this but the size i want instead of a small one like that.
As I have a limited space I dont want small thumbnails for people to click on and then have the larger view updated.
I would also want the controls and description to be viable all the time minus the play / pause button.
Is this possible? If so how can I do it? Is their already something out that will do this?
If possible I would like to have it database driven (the images and the description) to make it easier so I dont have to keep manually updating the flash.
Also can it be friendly to both Portrait and Landscape images?
and last but not least (and not necessary) can the images then beable to be clicked on and open up to full size ...
