Object - Dropdown Won't Get On Top Of Flash In IE7

My problem is, that i have a flash banner, with a menu above it. The menu has a dropdown though, and in internet explorer 7 the dropdown shows behind the flash banner. I've tried everything (what I know of, and what I have found here on stackoverflow), but nothing seems to do the trick.
Here is a link You can find the problem up in the right corner, if you hover over "Select Country: ...".
I've tried to change the wmode to transparent and opaque, but it didn't work. Just to make sure, I did this by adding a <param value="transparent" name="wmode"> in the object tag, and then add the attribute wmode="transparent".

I'm using jQuery Autocomplete just as in this example: [URL] The problem is, the area where you see the Result box in that example - that's where my flash object is. So, when the autocomplete dropdown appears, most of the text is concealed by the flash object (which I can't move). How can I make the autocomplete text appear over the flash object (concealing its view rather than vice versa)?

I'm having with a menu navigation system. I'm using Flash MX. I have created a menu system for the site I'm building ([URL]) where one of the buttons "Choose photographer" drops down a list of names. All the other buttons just jump to another page. The drop down is currently using tweens also the logo moves to the left as the dropdown appears and returns when the dropdown returns. All working fine apart from its a bit jerky.
It's I just wanted to get away from tweening and use action scripts instead, as I'm a newbie to all things Flash I trawled the net for tutorials and examples so that I could cobble together the exact same effect. I have managed to get the drop down work and return using the action script and it does seem smoother and works slightly better. But can I get the logo to move to the left and back in time with the drop down...no.

I'm creating a webpage, and I have made some buttons.Image 1 is the homepage, which is frame 1 in Flash.Image 2 shows that when I rollover the button "Portfolio,"I get a dropdown menu.I have this set as frame 3 in Flash.Image 3 shows that I've gone down the dropdown menu and rolled over "Photography." But if I rollout of any of the things from the dropdown menu, it stays at Image 2 (Frame 3)with the dropdown menu visible. Which is a problem...I want to be able to rollout of these buttons to revert back to the homepage, Image 1 (Frame 1).But, for instance, telling "Graphic Design" to go to Frame 1 on rollout means that if I try to go below "Graphic Design" to "Photography," I've rolled out--and so the rest of the menu disappears.So I want to roll be able to select anything from the dropdown menu, and only rollout to Frame 1 if I go outside the entire dropdown menu, not just one button.

I have a css drop down menu on the header portion of my website and the flash movie plays on the center of the site. The problem is, when the drop down menu is clicked it goes under the flash movie so that people can't see what is on the menu. Not sure if this is something that can be adjusted on the parameters of the movie or not?

I was looking for some information before proceeding with the work, I was looking to create a navigation bar in Flash with drop down menus coming form some of the links. Now will this require the visitor to have JavaScript enabled, I'm just a little cautious as I want the links in the drop down to be available to everyone, and if they do need Javascript enabled how do i get round this.....

I'm maintaining a ActionScript 2 application which uses createEmptyMovieClip to create dropdown lists (the list items being attached as movieclips). I can close the dropdown directly via removeMovieClip and such, obviously.
My problem is this: the dropdown should not only be closed when an item is clicked or the button creating it is triggered again, but also anytime the user clicks anywhere outside the dropdown (like onReleaseOutside, except the click also STARTS outside).
So far the only solution I can see is turning _root (or an invisible layer) into a button by proving an onRelease for it, but that's hackish in that it makes _root be treated like a button by Flash (pointer mouse cursor and all that). Do not want!

I am building a flash banner ad that contains a dropdown list of US states. Once the list is clicked I want to pass the state code onto the end of the url for the ad.I used to be ok with actionscript but it was several years ago, and I'm wondering if its possible to have the ad grab the URL from the parent <a href> and just tack the state code onto it.I assume this is how clickTags work?[code]Can anyone offer any tips on how best to do this? I'm fine with building the actual ad, its just I'm not sure if I need to hard code 50 urls into my dropdown? It seems a bad way of doing things, and I'm sure theres a better way?

My drop down menus are appearing behind my flash videos (JW Player) in Chrome and Internet Explorer. The problem does not occur in FireFox and Safari.changing the wmode and the z-index of the nav and video, with no success.

I created a horizontal dropdown menu in Flash CS3 and tried to assemble my site in dreamweaver CS3. So my dropdown menu comes above an image. I want my menu while coming down to slide over my image. I reduced the stage size of my flash file in which i created my menu to suit the horizontal menu buttons size and in my Website i can hardly see my menu coming down but i can see the menu buttons. What should I do to rectify this?

I have an HTML website with a flash header and dropdown menu.In the beginning, the flash dropdown menu would not show at all untili found the wmode=transparent trick.The menus are now showing properly except for one specific page wherethe text on the page show up OVER the dropdown menu. In all otherpages, the dropdown menu shows up on top of any text that may be inthere.There's nothing on that particular page jumping at me that would causethe problem. In fact, the page uses the same CSS file as the otherpages. I'm really clueless.I'm not sure if it's a flash problem or HTML/CSS problem.
The only difference i could think of was that the page was called froma combobox change event. But i switched the page called to anotherpage i know works with the menu and it was fine. So the problem doesnot come from the combobox calling the page, it really is the pageitself.Does anyone have a clue?Working page sample (sorry its in french)click on Nos Services. You can see how the menu shows up over the bolded text.Now click on the combobox and select the first item listed in it.

I was wondering if there is a way for me to build a dropdown menu in flash, and somehow integrate it with a nonflash website. For further explanation on what I am trying to accomplish...I was going to code a fully custom dropdown menu / button in flash, however for this to work the website would need to have a giant blank space where the flash meny would roll-down at. I have a flash dropdown menu with submenus below. Currently the menu has 5 main buttons and when you mouse over each button they have horizontal submenus below.I would like the first button "HOME" to display it's submenu options when you enter the site - basically to be visible without having to mouse-over. The problem is that people don't see that there are submenus straight away.all the main buttons are within a movieclip called "nav" with the following actionscript:

I am aware of how to reset the right-click context menu to just "settings", but when the file is opened in Flash Player directly from a computer instead of on the web, the drop-down menu in the player is still available. You can even press ctrl+enter to play. My searches just come up with solutions to the right-click menu, and I have a client who wants me to get rid of this menu for a game I've already made.

My question is in relation to AS3 dropdowns. You can check the page at: http:[url].....Under the "Visitors" and "Media" links, there are mouseover dropdown menus. You'll notice that they stick a little bit, and to make them go back up, you really have to hit very specific hit areas. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Note: I am only using the Flash animation in IE only as I created an equivalent, jQuery based animation for all other browsers (because, surprise, IE didn't handle the jQuery version).look at this in IE only.The Problemhen you hover over the dropdown menus, the Flash animation temporarily "freezes" and the continues. This causes choppy behavior in the Flash animation.
