Page To Have A 30 Sec Movie On It That People Have To Watch In Order To Get Online?

We are a Wireless ISP and we have portal page at a local airport. We offer free wifi there because of sponsorship. We would like the page to have a 30 sec movie on it that people have to watch in order to get online. I have 2 ideas on how to do this. 1. watch the movie and when movie is over automatically call to our login script and then log the user in through our network device. 2. have a get online button grayed out until the movie is over after the movie is over button becomes clickable and then the button after clicked calls to the script that logs my users in through my device.

I'm wanting to have ads radomly play before people watch a video on my site.Is there a way to write the script for this and place it in the xml or do I have to something differently.I already have the video up on our site. So I'm just not sure how I "connect" the actionscript and xml that way it plays the commercial before the video.Do I have to build a new player and everything to do this? I've never built a player before, so if I don't have to, I'd rather not.

We're using the script to have an online brochure, and now want to be able to put it on a CD for offline browsing as well.When it is viewed offline, an error message pops up and wants me to add the page/folder in here:Since this is a plugin script that doesn't have an fla file for me to edit, what are my options here? I've tried to decompile the swf file in order to make the changes, but that doesn't work (the script is fairly complex, so I didn't think it would decompile fully).

Has anyone been successful in using StageWebViewBridge to load and communicate with an online web page? [URL]. The documentation and examples offered are all configured around working with local files (which work successfully) and although the instruction to 'include the StageWebViewBridge.js' file within the loaded html page sounds very straight forward, sadly it doesn't seem to work.
For anyone wanting to replicate my test I have uploaded the files here: [URL]. I'm basically loading the 'ExampleCallBackFuncions.html' file from a web server. I've included the StageWebViewBridge.js file like so...

When I test the movie I get the correct setup output messages

And the html page appears in the viewport. But on pressing the button which should send a message to Actionscript I get the following error messages:

I'm editing this template but there is a problem, when the page is online the scroll sometime doesnt work.URL...I don't understand why, in the swf everything is perfect, but when the page is online if we test the scroll sometimes it simply doesn't work.[code]

find the code to pull some simple text from an external website's RSS feed into a basic text box in a Flash movie. It would need to be in AS2 to fit with the website. I understand I need to pull the content via an xml / php page under my own domain in order to get around the Flash security, but I still can't scrape together the right code for it to work.

I do have a set of images (lets say 1,2,3,4 and 5) in an html page. what I want is once the html page is reloaded, the order of the sliding should change randomly (from 1,2,3,4 and 5) to (4,5,3,4,5...)for example.

I'm in the process of building a Flash Electronic Press Kit. Anyways, I converted a Video I had of him from WMV to FLV and then imported into Flash CS3. It played fine when I uploaded it to the server on the computer I had it on. But anyone else who looks at it has told me that they're stuck at the waiting screen for ages and It doesn't load at all. I have not worked with Flash for quite awhile and just finished a personal project in Flash CS4, originally created in Flash MX, but when I uploaded the complete swf and html to the Web, the swf file is not visible at all I see a blank page. The previous version, saved in MX, works just fine online but I no longer have the MX version.
what ActionScript version should I output for the SC4 version, 1 or 2 (I tried version 3 and got an error message)?

I have an SWF file that works great when I publish it or view it in the Flash Player. However, when I use Simulate Download, all the buttons' functionality gets messed up - for some reason, clicking them results in the playhead going to other frames than it's supposed to. I've tried uploading the file to my website and the buttons don't work well there either. Is there any reason for this to happen?

In AC2, I am trying to load .swf files in to a movie.
I know how to load them, and I can load them at random. But what I want to know is, if I have say 500 movies, named movie_0.swf movie_1.swf movie_2.swf etc...
is there a way I can load them ten at a time, in order of highest number to lowest number. In a specific location.
In other words, I want to be able to have many external swf movies, about 400px wide by 100px tall, and load 10 at a time in to a 800px wide by 1200px tall movie, 10 movies at a time, in order of highest to lowest movie name number. Each in a specific place, with a next and precious button to show the next 10 or last 10.
Im basically working on my first site, and want to use something like this so I can show my latest articles first when someone clicks on the articles section of the website.

I have one main stage in Flash 8 where I am loading different swf's into a main movie clip. And since some of swf's are bigger then others they are loading randomly. I would like to know is there a script that can put some of the swf's on hold and load them as the scipt tells in which order?
In my scenario i would like to place them to load in some order in my main movie clip.
I am relativley now to flash, but I have basic scills to do some basic stuff.

Setup: I have an html page with an embedded flash object. The object is an "index.swf" with an empty movie clip on it. External swf's load onto the index swf via the empty movie clip when buttons are pushed.
Problem: On my test server in dreamweaver, the swf's load fine. When I put them on my server and test it online only the index swf loads. not the initial swf or any of the other swf's.

I am creating an order form for my flash site. I have never done this before in flash but I have in visual basic. I have a few questions:
1. Is assigning variable names to checkboxes and radio buttons the same as in visual basic? I mean i know that you probably assign them in the properties. ex..say i name a radio button 'radio1', to run a check in my actionscript whether radio1 was checked or not would it be something like if(radio1){}
2. After the person fills out the form I would like to have the results of the order sent to a pre-specified email adress in a certain format. What would be a good way to do this?

If I add a textarea component to my movie I can no longer tab out of it in IE. With no component, it works fine. I'm using AS3 and am not sure where to go from here. This is one of that adobe's "accessible" components so the fact it causes the page to become completely unusable for keyboard users is a bit frustrating.

I'm having issues displaying movie clips in the correct order. I'm pulling in data from an xml file, in this case images and then create movie clips to hold them. I'm getting the right order from the actual Array when looping through the xml file but when I create the clips the order gets all screwed up. how to order the clips exactly the way they are in the array?

I'm using AS3 in CS4. I have a problem which i can't get past: I have a button which when clicked I wish it to play two movie clips (blind_mc, text_mc) when clicked.. however I do not wish them to play at the same time (as the script below achieves).. but to play one after the other.
I cannot put them on the same layer or join the two togther for many reasons including -- I have many different buttons i wish to apply this too all with different number of movie clips and orders of play, therefore I would have to create excessively long layers for each and every click.

I don't even know how to start with this. I have 15 movie clips on the stage, each with an animation within it, I need them to play at random, one after the other. Ideally, once there's mousemovement, everything should reset.I kind of understand the random function and how to generate numbers, and I know this will probably involve arrays, but I don't know how to put this together.

how to sequence movie clips to play in a certain order. I want to play one movie clip that is animated using actions and then once that clip is finished, play the next one (naturally, to create some sort of design.)If I have two MC's that have separate scripts on them - how would I go about playing the first movie clip and once that animation is finished playing the next one?I've tried placing a 2ndmovieclipname.stop () style script at the end of the first movie clip.I am currently using Flash MX 2004.
PS - I do not have my clips animated with frames, so I don't believe the option to gotoAndPlay (frame x) is available to me.
