Php :: Let Flash Play Media From A Site That Needs You To Be Authenticated?

I have a website when requires the user to be logged in to access the contents. I need to embed some music player which can play some mp3. But the mp3 download link cannot be public, so is there any way to pass the PHP session to any flash based players so that the user can listen to it.
Edit: I would want a ready made flash player which has this functionality. Ideally something like the yahoo media player which can be embedded easily

I bought a Flash Portfolio program from Flash Components and followed the tutorial for setup and when I click index.html within my flashport folder, from my local PC it works perfectly. Now when I upload it to my website and try and run [URL], or [URL] a small portion of it loads (just my name and a blank screen really) and stops. So it works when I run the it from my local machine, but doesn't work from my website. Can anyone provide and thoughts or comments?

Using the Webservices connector, I'm able to connect to any public webservice but when I try the same method to connect to a webservice that requires authentication I get URL not found error.Is there a way to pass the web-services credentials through Flash or any work around?

Almost everything is in the title : Here's what I'd like to do :A nice html page with a php authentication process (http first then http**s** & so on) Launch a flex app which knows (I don't know how (this is the actual question !)) the user has already been authenticated and display his/her stuff he/she has to do for the day (or whatever...).
Of course if someone try to call directly the flex app I would display an "authentication error" message and then redirect to the authentication page.I'm sorry for my English which is perfectible.I was thinking about the session cookie : first authenticate then ass a variable on the server side, something like :

I've been working on my first full blown flash site for a few weeks, tackling problems as I encounter them, and I've learned a lot...but sometimes the simplest things I cannot figure out for the life of me. All I am trying to do is have some flash banner SWF files play within the portfolio page of my site. I don't want them to open in a pop up or anything just play within the page when the link on my site is clicked. I figured it would act like a movie clip and I could just drop it onto the stage, but when I do that it doesn't look right, loops continuously, and is not interactive. How can I make this work?

Does anyone know the file upload hack for Flex, which will allow files to be uploaded to authenticated web services via multipart form post? In this bug report from the Adobe site, a user reports: Flash isn't cross-browser compatible if this feature only works via Javascript hacks. So far, I've been unable to craft such a hack. I'm unsure what to do next. Here's what I've tried so far (all have been unsuccessful or impossible).

I'm starting a blog with a hosted wordpress instance and i would like to be able to stream music using a flash player on some posts.The problem is that every player i find uses a simple param to get the file url which makes it very easy for someone to find that url and just download the file.I know that it's probably impossible to prevent this all together, but i at least don't want it to be obvious.

I got a bunch of live stream from FMLE, say: "FMLE_channel1", "FMLE_channel2", "FMLE_channel3". And then on the server side, I created several corresponding republished stream called "channel1", "channel2", "channel3".
On periodical basis, we call Stream.get("channel1").play("FMLE_channel1", -1, 10, true) every 10 seconds. Similar things were done on the second channel & third channel.Soon after the above Stream.get("channel1").play() call, I should get the following events in sequence:info :NetStream.Unpublish.Successinfo :NetStream.Publish.Startinfo :NetStream.Play.Resetinfo :NetStream.Play.Start In the above case all are happy. Clients can view channel1, channel2, channel3 well.But then after a while, one of the three channels, in most case it would be channel1, will not be viewable.
With the server trace info, I found that after the Stream.get("channel1").play() call, only the following two events exists:
info :NetStream.Unpublish.Successinfo :NetStream.Publish.Starti.e. I was missing the play.reset and play.start event.I further checked and confirmed that the FMLE was publishing all three channels fine to the server. I was able to view the "FMLE_channel1" from flash clients, but not the republished "channel1". the version is FMS 3.5.0.

I would like to show the live TV video on Flash player from my TV tunner. Is it possible to do it without FMS like using Webcam?
It will not be running on the internet/network and only for a computer that have TV tunner. (Ideally: open a swf and you can watch a TV tunner by flash player). But i cannot find any information if i can do it without FMS.

I'm doing a project like youtube. After some try, I can run FMS, dynamic playlist and flowplayer (I think this is what I need, am I right?) However, when I try to combine them, I discover a lot of problems. I follow this [URL] beginner_dynstre am_fms.html to learn about FMS, this [URL] to learn about dynamic playlist, this [URL] to learn about flowplayer. In the tutorial, the dynamic playlist cant run with FMS (even the tutorial says can, but when I try it, it cant!), and it is using Flash and as(AS3), the flowplayer is using html and js, I really cont know how to combine these 3 things together.

Probably this feature is in the next generation of FMS 4.5 However, it is said this can be achieved with some manipulation of files with current FMS. Can we do a 2-way live video session.

I'm trying to play some sounds in my flash project through action script. However for some reason in my code the call to Sound.play takes from 40ms to over 100ms in extreme cases, which is obviously more than enough to be very noticeable whenever a sound is played. This happens every time a sound is played, not just when that sound is first played, so I dont think its because the Sound object is still loading data or anything like that...
At the start I have this to load the sound:

This as far as I can tell is following the same process as other Flash programs I found, however none of them seem to have this problem. Is there something that I've missed that would cause the play() method to be so slow?

I would like to have it added with controls and play while the user is browsing the site. I don't want it to start playing automatically I want the user to be aware there is a song for them to listen to. I don't have any images for buttons.

However, I need to protect them in several ways... customers should not be able to download and play them anywhere off my site, or on their hard drives, and they should not be able to decompile them and grab the contents (jpegs).I realize that a first rate hacker can probably hack through anything, but they don't worry me. on previous host, .swf played in Flash Player. I moved the site to GoDaddy & found the movie would not play. I learned about .htaccess & put this file in the site folder:now the page prompted me to download shockwave player. Instead of playing the .swf, the Shockwave logo shows. I would rather the movie play in Flash player.

I have a swf animation that plays a sound on the main home page. People are happy to hear the sound upon first entering the website but it starts to get annoying after that (people go to different pages on the site then come back to the home page).
Just wondering what would be a good way to do this? I can set it up so that he same swf file is used on every webpage.
I understand that I could do a cookie or something like it/ session variable, but is that over kill? Can I do something via actionscript / the swf by itself?

My Objective is to play a youtube video in a site which is build in Action Script 3.0. We have developed a site where the client side is completely flash and the back end is managed using php. what we need is to display the youtube vidoes in the client side flash page. Youtube videos can be displayed in html pages using the <object> tag. But in flash is it possible. note: You tube is providing an API, which will work only in sites developed in Action Script 2.0. But we need it to be played in Action Script 3.0. Is there really an API for Action Script 3.0 ?

I need a MC 'A' to play on stage when the site starts. When any of the 4 out of 5 MC buttons in navigation is clicked, another MC should show instead of MC 'A' on the stage. Only when 1 MC button is clicked anything other than MC 'A' should disappear and MC 'A' should play. I wat to achieve this and trying to figure out how to best do this.

The problem is a weird problem, because I can connect to the application through an RTMP test site, Adobe Flash Server reconginzes the connection and allows it. But when I try to connect from the flash applet (It's called Videowhisper), the connection doesn't go through. I was wondering if anyone knew what the problem is? I host Joomla (open source networking site) on a WAMP server, and Adobe Flash Server on the same machine. Adobe Flash Server is acception connections, just not from Joomla, for some reason.

i have made a site in flash. stage size 955x600 i have exported it as fullscreen with no scale. the problem is that if i browse the site with a resolution of 800x600 (760x420 if i'm not wrong), the browser dont' add scrolls and its impossible to see the complete site. How can i fix this without resizing the site. i want the users to see with the proportions that i have now.. ijust want a scroll on the browser.

I have started a stream from Flash media encoder to flash media server. According to my encoder, it should be located at: "rtmp://localhost/live" and is called livestream.In the Flash software I try and set the source of FLVPlayback component to rtmp://localhost/live/livestream", and I get this error: "NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound : Adobe Flash tried to play a live or recorded stream that does not exist. Source can't be found.". Both the server and encoder is runnind and I am encoding.

I have a site I've added a few new modules to, but the video player module just doesn't want to play at all All the components load when I test the movie but none of the external data loads, and when I test the scene with all components on its own it works fine.I've tried a few things but, still can't get this to work, and I've even tried downloading another multi video player and it did the same thing, I don't know where I'm going wrong It's all contained in a movieclip called 'bsv' and as I said works fine when I do test scene or be able to take a look at the site if I were to upload it?

I have a mp3 player in a stand alone swf that I load into level 30 (or something). It works just fine, plays music and stop when I click the button. However, it continues to play after I have left my site and are browsing other pages, and at that point you have no way of turning it off. This is if course a big problem and I have taken the music.swf down for the time being.
