I'm trying to create a preloaded that reveals an image. Example of what I mean is: when 10% is loaded 10% of the image is visible when 50% is loaded 50% is visible.

I created a image of the group of people that worked on the project and I want the image to be hidden until the user types a key combination that would trigger the image to appear and dissapear when clicked. I have a question, and I find it hard to find resources on it. I have two layers, and another layer with an image of a broom on it. I want to use the broom to move over layer2, and reveal the layer beneath it. Kind of making a sweeping game. Frankly my search efforts on google have only come up with alot of masking, but I am sure you need actionscript to make the broom move with the mouse.

View 1 RepliesI have created a video in After Effects that I exported to an FLV movie. I would like to use it as an intro for my website but I would like to have a preloader for it... I don't need anything complicated, a 'youtube style' little circle thing would be totally fine.
Now I tried an Action-Script-two-frame preloader. It works but when my video finally plays, the sound is not synchronized with the images; which is kind of annoying as I used visual effects that need to be synchronized with the music and sound effects. Would anyone would have some simple AS that I could use for that.
Let me exlain my issue.I have a 3mb size swf file. I want to publish it in a webpage.When I access this file in site, it take lot of time to downoad, so I need a progressbar till the whole file gets loaded in to webpage.

So far, I have managed to load the image onto the stage, but am now stuck as to how to get it to remove the child showing, the add the next child every 5 seconds.

I want to have a text field that, if a certain letter is typed in it, shows (visible = true) a certain movieclip. I need to cause 26 separate movie clips, (or one movieclip with 26 frames, one per letter), to respond to each letter of the alphabet when letters typed in the text field.

3).the user changes (somehow) the _alpha property (before starting revealing the image) to -let's say- 60% and reveals with the eraser the path of the map up to some point.
4).the user sets the _alpha of the cover back to 100% in order to get the picture shown in the example.
I have a button that when hovered over scrolls out to reveal the page. I then want it so that when someone rolls out from the button, it then scrolls back in to how it started. This seems to work ok, with just one small problem, the page doesn't necessarily always stay scrolled out, even if you don't move the cursor away from the hit area of the button. I have a flash file which contains a simplified version of the button as I would to achieve it working, and then on a separate layer my faulty button. Its too big to attach, but if anyone can help i would gladly email the file

I want to keep it this way, as it is important, but I am making a pre-preloader with a simple text such as "Please Wait" to display until the actual preloader loads. My coding for the pre-preloader is below. How do I make my variable "pretotal" be only the total needed to load the next frame which is my preloader rather than that of the entire movie?

View 3 RepliesI have created some swf files using non macromedia software. I have loaded them as targets into movieclips in my flash file. I have then animated these movieclips linked with the external swf files. The animation of the movieclips links to what is going on in the swf files. Therefore I need to load the external swf file completely before I can animate it.What is the best way to achieve this? do i create an external preloader? How would I do this? (i'm a beginner and don't need any loading bars or anything, just a very very simple preloader!)
