Nov 8, 2011I know it's possible to "install" a flash application at Android mobiles but how?
View 8 RepliesI know it's possible to "install" a flash application at Android mobiles but how?
View 8 RepliesI have developed a small adobe flash application (a parent .exe file which loads several child swf files). I can play it in almost any computer. My question is: Can I install and run the application in Aakash or Ubislate 7+ ?
View 1 RepliesI developed a Adobe Air Application and I discovered that the Mobile I am trying to install the application is not compatible with the Adobe Air's supported devices because this wasn't launched yet.
I have some ideas:
Is possible to change the Mobile Name to fake another device and Adobe Air not refuse the installation? Is possible to convert AIR to Java? s possible to run Air without Java? Abandon Flash and do it in Java or Javascript.
I have created a simple "Hello World" Application using Flash Builder Burrito SDK. I have tested the result in the emulator it is working great. After that I deployed the application using "Export Release Build Option" and entered valid certificate details and created the .apk file. I copied the .apk file into the device and i run the application. I am unable to run the app. I have tried these in 3 android supported devices and in each of these I am getting different error messages.
I have mentioned the device in which I have tested and the error message I got while I tried to install the app (.apk file).
HTC Desire - "Error while parsing the package of the application"
Samsung Galaxy Tab - "Error while parsing the package of the application"
LG Optimus one (LG P500) - "Application not installed"
I have created a New Mobile Project in the flash SDK and added simple label "HELLO WORLD" in the view section. Before deploying I have installed Adobe AIR 2.5 in the device. I need to know whether any restrictions are there for applications developed using Flash Burrito Preview Release. (whether by default all android mobile version more than 2.1 will support it?) Also when I try to install "Tour De Mobile Flex" apk in LG Optimus, it is saying "Device not supported" message. How do I overcome these problems to run the apk file without any problems.
I want to use Adobe Flash in the development of Android applications. But how do I install flash on the emulator so that I can test my software with flash?
View 5 RepliesMy main question deals with a situation where somebody is surfing the web on their mobile phone and comes across my .swf. In programming the swf are the keycodes the same for navpad/arrow keys and numpad/numpad between desktop keyboards and phone buttons? I'm unable to put flashplayer on my android emulator and it seems to be by design. Is there anyway to install flash on android emulators?

View 5 RepliesI gone thorough the adobe flash builder video tutorials and did the same thing to create an application for android device, but when i run the application it is showing Sorry dialog box saying that, The application Test1-debug(process air.Test1.debug) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. I tried many times but it is not working. Initially i thought no Adobe-AIR in my device, but it is there. I am using Reliance 3G Tab. I don't why it is not working, if anybody know this please reply me.
One more thing, i downloaded one APK (which is designed with adobe flash or flex) file from [URL]..and installed on my android device. When i run that application only blank screen is appearing, but in video they shown, it is working. Why it is happening like this?? Is any problem with my tablet ?? or application ?? or adobe AIR not installed properly on device ?? Like this i am getting too many doubts.
I am creating an application. At one view I have three states. If I changes state and than back button pressed it unloads the application.I am developing it in Adobe AIR.
View 1 RepliesI'm trying to build an app, which should have Flash Player control, which plays SWF from server (certain URL). For Flash Player ActiveX you have to save SWF file to a temporary location to load it and play, isn't it? You'll have to create a corresponding link that you can pass to the Flash Player ActiveX and then delete SWF file after it is played. Of course, high security level can't be guaranteed, but I think it's good, if at least no temporary files are created (can be intercepted LOCALLY). So the question is how to make Flash Player ActiveX be able to load SWF file directly from any source without usage of temp files?
View 1 Repliesi am implementing one application related to android in adobe flex, .apk is generated and now while installing the .apk file in emulator, emulator is showing one pop up to install adobe air, while again installing on adobe air , it is showing that no mobile device is connected to you system. so how can i install adobe air in emulator to test the application made in adobe flex?
View 2 RepliesIn a small WebView app I wrote, I am able to load YouTube and see the picture the represents a video clip, with the familiar right-pointing arrow that is supposed to start playing the video:ut... when I touch that arrow, nothing happens (the video is NOT played).mWebView.getSettings().setPluginsEnabled(true);So, I searched for more clues about how to make Flash (YouTube) run embedded in my WebView and I found the following hint:I am OK with the requirement for Android 2.2 but what I don't understand is what "install Flash plugin" means: YouTube plays fine in Android's default browser (which is based on WebView AFAIK) and also in the YouTube app that's also installed in my device. Doesn't that mean that the Flash plugin is already installed?
View 3 RepliesActually i have created one dashboard in flex. But now i want to integrate this dashboard or make same dashboard for Android.
How i can achieve this? I want to make dashboard for Android.
I have a flash application(.swf format). I wanted to package the entire swf file and other content(related images, xml files) into a single file and access in a tablet. So basically i need to make it into a single .apk file to access in my tablet.
View 3 RepliesI want to load a flex application in mobile flex application and also i want it to interact with the parent application. Right now I am trying to load the swf with swfLoader in mobile app, but it gives me security error. And also should I want the parent application to be generic in terms of child application as in down the line if someone wants he can have another child application with same name run.

I want to create very simple application with 2 view:
-> list with some tags
-> single view with movie
every tag is connected to a flash movie. The movie will be on my own server in web. I want to play in my app this movie with a some player. But not via web browser but inside my application. is that possible ? What do I need to do to achive that ? I mean how to play the movie. Building list etc is easy
We know that, with Android NDK we can use .C files along with .java files in a single android application. Similarly, is it possible to use Adobe Flash and Java files in a single android application ?
View 2 RepliesHow to update air application after install in system . updated not be reinstall will be automatically?
View 2 Repliesbasically, what am doing is that am running a flash file (playing music) in the background of the app using webview, and when I want to stop the music , I just load "about:blank".I want to keep the flash file running (music) when my app gets paused (which works fine so far) the problem is when the app resumes, pressing on pause button launches a new webview instead of changing the link in the previous one and the sound doesn't stop.the only solution I found was to kill the process and restart the app, but that's not practical, any idea of how to still be able to use the same webview when resuming the app ?
Update: guess I wasn't clear enough, I have a webview widget stated as "gone" , I only need the audio form the flash file I'm running in the webview so the "play" button loads a URL that contains the flash file (so the user only hears music, and doesn't notice that I'm using a webview), when I press the back/home button the music doesn't stop (I like it that way) but when I go back and press on play again it loads another url in a new page, you get double music
I have an enterprise Flex web application, served up over https, that runs fine on Flash player 10.0 and beyond on a desktop computer/browser.
However, when I run it from my HTC Incredible with Android 2.2 the app loads fine, but there is no on-screen keyboard and so I cannot log in. I can see the blinking cursor inside the username and password text fields. I can switch between them. I can even hit the login button and see an authentication error!
I am currently developing a mobile application using the latest version of Flash Builder and I need to create a Global ArrayCollection to store information in that is pulled from a local DB. I can pull back the data from the DB fine however I cannot seem to access the Global variable when I try. I have the follng .as file called "Model.as" which is located in a folder called valueObjects and that file contains the following code:
package valueObjects
{
import flash.data.SQLConnection;
[Code]....
Then in a private function I try to access the ids ArrayCollection and populate it however I get the following error:
-1120: Access of undefined property ids.
-Access of undefined property ids
I have created a flex SWF file for my web page. I also have a AIR application.
Is it possible to use the install badge that is available for HTML pages inside my Flex web application?
I have read all the documentation and more on optimizations. My question is that if you have to resize sfws for different mobiles is it best to have a res thats the biggest mobile and the rest we can use fullscreen. Or is it best to make a smaller swf and have it size up to full screen. Obviously we are not going to create an swf in 20 sizes. By the way, is it MORE processor hogging for a mobile to size down a 800 by 600 standard swf than to downsize an swf thats only a little larger than the mobile screen.
View 4 RepliesI am trying to migrate from flex code written in flex 4/4.5 using mx to be compatible with flex 4.5.1 using only spark. The problem is that I can't find a few mx component in spark
mx:tree

I'm wondering if there is a way to make an installer (.exe or .air) autoinstaller So when a user double click it, a silent installation is performed, without asking the destination folder, using instead the default one...
View 1 RepliesIs there any article/tutorial which explains how to create android application using Flash CS5. I have seen the video on but none of them explains in details how to setup the entire thing to create android apps.
View 11 RepliesI am just wondering if it is possible to show an image instead of flash content for mobiles? I want to allow the adobe sniffer to do its thing when it is people using pc and mac browsers and direct them to the plug in page to download the flash player if they need it, but is there a way to sniff for a mobile / smart phone browser and if they cant view flash it will show an image instead?
View 1 RepliesI have just been asked to do a project that i can do it in flash cause of its interactivity and graphical comunication and so on... its like an interactive map, VERY interactive. BUT, came the question of how long more will Flash survive after the HTML5 and the discontinuing of flash player for mobiles.Does it worth it doing it on Flash or should i move to something else?
View 8 RepliesWe have an AIR application which is running in client-server mode as a desktop application. Our application runs on AIR version-1.5;Flex version 3.5. We want this application to be ported to android. Will AIR 1.5 work with Android? if not which version of AIR should be used with Android? And also, Can I configure my Flex Builder to partucular version of AIR SDK? I am getting confused with AIR 2.0, 2.5 and recently released flex Hero SDK for mobile platforms.
View 1 RepliesI have an Android AIR application (developed with Flex SDK 4.5.1) for which I need to block the Home Button, as the app is used by patients in a hospital without supervision, i.e. it is crucial that they cannot leave the app.
It seems that the only way to hijack the Home Button is to be registered as the default launcher, so that your own app gets the focus when home is pressed. This is easily achieved in the manifest, such as:
