On the first page, my player begins to play like a radio show. i have different sections which are all individual tracks. the player works and plays each track when i manually press next or previous...but it doesn't automatically play through all the tracks. instead it pauses after the first track and i have to manually press next.
here is what i used...can you find the problem:
stop();
playlist = new XML();
playlist.ignoreWhite=true;
I've been fiddling around with the above player and find it simple to use and personalise.
The only problem is that I can't seem to find a way for the next track to play automatically. And I guess to start at the beginning again after the last track.
I'm sure it's just a play/stop or true/false that I've over looked
Here's the code on the MC that contains the player's buttons:
I am just toying around making an mp3 player and came to a problem. I've got everything to work just fine... but I don't know how to get the player to recognize that the current track is finished and get it to get the next track... how can this be done?
I created a flash presentation with FLV video components.I want them to start playing automatically when the userenters the slide in which the FLV resides.If I set "autoplay" to "true" the FLV begins to play as soonas the presentation begins.For now, the user must press the 'Play' button to start themovie.I tried using FLVplayback.play(); attached to frame 1 of theslide, to the button that sends the user to that movie and to the
Im new to the AS3 game but I need some help with something. I have built a pretty good website mp3 player but it plays the songs in order. I want the the mp3 player to play a different song everytime it loads.[code]
I currently have 6 different flex applications (widgets) that run on a main page.They all depend on one common library project.I am currently cleaning up the codebase quite dramatically and it is hard to keep overview this way especially since I inherited the codebase.Does anyone know a tool that can automatically inform me of any dead code?
making a camera roll AND track at the same time?All the 3D tutorials I've found deal with rotation OR camera movement, but never both at the same time. Can't quite get it to work, so I must be missing something.
I just updated to CS5 - I'm working on a custom video player. It works fine embedded in a web page both locally and on the network. It works fine in the debug player. However, when I test it in the authoring player I get a NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound error and no video. I have tried setting the Local Playback Security publish settings to both local and network - doesn't find the video either way.
It used to run fine in CS4 in the authoring environment.
I'm trying to build a music player that has multiple songs it can play. It should be fairly simple with next and previous buttons. I'm trying to get it to load a song based on an array I have created. Everything works fine with only one track but I'm unsure how to add more tracks. This is what I've done so far:
making a simple game with video stills matching a running audio track.my audio is an MP3 i built in GarageBand. all works well in flash, but when rendered to QT, the audio and video go out of sync, and some video drops out too.have put all audios on their own layer and streamed them all too, set settings in Publish to 64, but still have same problem
on (press) { // Gives your movie a button functionsgetUrl("http://www.astahost.com");} on (rollOver) {this._alpha=100;gotoAndPlay("Scene 2"); }
[Code]....
when i play the movie, it plays scene 2, however, scene 2, which is in my flash document, plays automatically. how can i stop this? is there some code which only makes scene 2 play when called for and not play automatically.
I was curious as to how I can make an audio player with a track bar, play, pause, stop, and volume slider. Most of the tutorials or free download files I find don't have all of these features.
I am developing a lite mp3 player and the track bar has a circular shape. How to interact on mouse click so I can jump to any position of the track (I know how to draw a progressive circle or to interact with a horizontal track bar).
Setup: an online tv channel with "youtube" like clips and categories our own flash video player which can be embeded into other remote sites as2 flash player Goal: To track who's embeding my videos, at least with basic statistics per domain.
Since it's AS2, it's harder to do this. My ideea is that I can create a php page which should be opened each time the player loads on any website; than the flash player can do a "geturl" of the php file which has Google Analytics code or some other decent tracker.
The geturl command could contain a variable like the Video Title which already is included in the player; and this title would pass on with GET to the php file and setup a dynamic page title which can be tracked very well. Problem: how to i use the GETURL function without have user's browser open a new tab or window. Is there any hidden way to do it?
I have a XML music player that so far - Gets mp3s from an xml file. Has controls for play, pause, previous track, next track. The next thing I need it to do is display a dynamic text field with the current mp3 track length counting down to zero as the song plays. This countdown needs to stop and start as and when the pause/play is pressed.
Here's the code - ActionScript Code: var my_songs:XMLList; var my_total:Number; var my_sound:Sound; var my_channel:SoundChannel; var current_song:Number=0; [Code] .....
I am trying to make the SIMPLEST POSSIBLE MP# player using the player component preinstalled in flash.It is very simple, the code is as follows:
Code: on (release) { player.contentPath ="Song.mp3" player.play() } ("player" is the mp3 component)
This works if I want a single track to be selected and played.Now, I need it to AUTOMATICALLY LOAD THE NEXT TRACK, which I will input in the code.I am thinking something like this:
I'm working on an mp3 player. I want to trigger an event when the track finishes playing. I've created a function that will just trace a statement so that I know the event listener is working, but I can't seem to get it to trigger. Here is the playSong function in which the code is used:
Code: function playSong(mySong:Number):void { var myURL = my_songs[mySong].@URL; playingTra = mySong; current_song = mySong; my_sound = new Sound(); [Code] .....
I tried to add in the following lines, but that instead institutes some playback issues: Code: if (my_channel){ my_channel.stop(); my_channel.removeEventListener(Event.SOUND_COMPLETE, stuff); }
i am making a few simple games for the iphone and i would liek to know ow to make a shape move across the screen automaticly so i touch it and it continuously drops down until it hits the floor is there a code to do this, i tryed a while boolean = true but it didn't wrok.
I'm looking for some help regarding stopping sounds in Actionscript 3. Basically I'm making an interactive story game, basically a quiz game. On the main menu I have a narrator talking. What I basically want to do is have the track stop playing when you press the play button. I have the soundtrack playing already and the play button too. I just can't figure out how to get the sound to stop when I press the play button and it goes to the next scene.
I will inlcude here to code i used and a zipped folder containing all the files of my mp3 player. What i would like to do, (i am not an actionscript expert and did this following a tutorial) is to include a download button for the track which is being listened, be able to insert the playlist 'track buttons' inside the scrollpane on the stage, and sort an annoying bug which makes the music form the player continue even when i leave the section of the site where its in, keeping the music in the background running and starting a new track ontop every time i renter the section where the player is placed.
I have some audio files on my http server, and I would like to write a Flash client in ActionScript3 to load those audio file and play them smoothly. Of course I can just create a Sound object and load it by .load() with a URL request. But for saving the bandwidth, I prefer to load audio file chunks on demand. For example, there is an audio file let's say 100MB. If we try to load as fast as possible when user open the page
<--------- 100MB ----------->
The downloading may finished within minutes, but let's say, if user stop listener in halfway, that's kind of waste to load whole soundtrack at first.
<--------- 100MB -----------> ^--- user may stop here
To solve the problem, I think it's better to split the big audio file into small chunks, load and play them on demands.
<--- 10MB ---><--- 10MB ---><--- 10MB ---> ... ^--- user current position
I want to design the player, let it load audio chunk by chunk, and only load it when it's near the end of current chunk.
How to load those chunks and play them smoothly? I can probably create Sound object for each chunks. But how to play them seamless?
How do you set an FLV player to be muted automatically on load? I know how to make the volume 0 on load but I actually want to set the mute button state to muted so the user can click on it to unmute it.
It is perfect, except that I'm not sure how to keep it from playing automatically. I tried removing the playSong() part under the loadSong function and it just removes the ability to play the song altogether. Here is the code:
if there's a way to automatically update the flash player if the user doesn't have the required version. If there's no way, can i make a button to download it directly from my site so the user doesn't have to go to the adobe webpage?
I have two mp4 video files on webserver, i wanted to play them in flash player(flv player) on my asp.net page, but i couldn't be able to play them, i also tried to play them in quick time player the same prob occured. but i waz giving the accurate path, there were no spaces in mp4 file names etc. Does it need to have mp4 player(or codec etc) installed on webserver?
I have also some wmv files on that server , and i am playing perfectly using silver light player, and media player object on my website.
I have been given the task of converting a macromedia application to a web app. It seems the application begins with the shell.swf once the exe is started. I have experimented with embedding the project's different swf files, and one thing I've figured out is that entire project works without the exe if the the shell.swf is somehow started. I've been opening and running the shell.swf with CS5.5 flash professional. *I do not have the source project.
This leads to my question. All of the swf files of this application autorun when embedded into an aspx, except the shell.swf, which appears to be the directing file of the application. How can I get this shell.swf to autorun from an aspx load event? I pretty much need to mimic the Flash Professional's play button. This is an interactive application to educate young people about the Buffalo river, and it is somewhat robust. I am almost certain that once I can get the shell.swf running on a webpage, the entire app will run it's course.
I have been working with AspNetFlash, but I have not been able to achieve the desired effect. I need to get this running so the client can utilize the program over the next few months while I am re-writing the application to store user interactive data.
