ActionScript 2.0 :: Built In Transition Class To Do The Movement?

I am using the built in transition class to do the movement. I notice that when two things are clicked in quick succession the movement jitters and looks awful. Also when a menu button is clicked the little white line which appears next to it moves very slowly.

How can I add a Squeeze transition effect between frames using the transition manager class on a simple slideshow using the goBack and goForward functions in ActionScript3? Below is the code I have so far:

I would like to make transitions similar to ones used in [URL]. I understand the tutorial on transitions and loading content but I am having trouble with the actionscripted movement.
i've come to realize there's no "wiggle" class built into as3. i mean an affect similar to the wiggle command in AE. so i've been making my own and been banging my head on stuff the past few days cuz of this.i've got something!...but i can get the code to work ONLY if i make the constructor a method instead. but when i do that all the movieclips the method in the fla is applied to wiggles around the same place. see:URL...so i figured the way around this was to make the method a constructor of an object. then in the lfa instance a wiggle object to wiggle movieclips. but now im getting a ArgumentError: Error #1063: Argument count mismatch on wiggle().
I've built a class which extends MovieClip an works ok. In this class i'm creating some MCs.and this part works ok.Before i've built some prototypes which adds some methods to the MovieClip object I'd like to use these methods in the class i've created.
But using the include before the class statement throws an error during compile
How can i do to add the methods in the prototypes to my MCs in my class?
It can be seen from this that Flash VM can set attribute to built-in Class, but compiler prohibits that. Is this a bug or a characteristic in Flash VM?

Now when i remove or add a slide I would like it to appear with a transition, I would like to create a separate class to put the different transitions in using tweenlite. How would I approach this the best way? So to sum up, when I add or remove a child, the transitions class gets called, it returns a transition and the slide gets animated when its added or removed.
I am trying to understand the method transition that falls in the Matrix Class. I am using it to copy pieces of a bitMapData. But I need to better understand what transitions do. I have a tilesheet that has 3 images on it. all 30x30 pixels. the width of the total bitmap is 90pxs. The first tile is green, the second is brown, and the third is yellow. If I move over 30pxs using the matrix that transitions, instead of getting brown, I get yellow, if I move over 60px, I get brown. If I move -30 pixels, then the order is correct. I am confused on what is going on.
I am working on a gallery: the slider rotates the container with the images using Tweener class and easeOutCubic transition. There are 45+ images around the center of the container The movement is not smooth, especially when comparing to the way it would be with a small container. Also, and most important - A rough "snap" appears randomly in the end of the motion.
i have a flex app that transitions between 2 states with the toggle of a button. my issue is that the effect of fading only seems to work on the 2nd transition and after. However, for my first transition... going from State1 to studyState... there is no fade effect whatsoever, in fact the components in state1 disappear completely (the footer fills the empty gap where the "body" use to be) and then the flex recreates the studyState (without any fade refilling the "body" with components only in studyState). After this first transition however, going between studyState and State1 working COMPLETELY fine.. why does this happen and how can i make it so that crossfade works STARTING FROM THE VERY FIRST TRANSITION?[code]
I have a presentation using the "presentation" template that comes with flash. I am trying to transition slides with the behavior slide transition options. but I've learned that it works find while going into a slide and doesn't go to the next slide when leaving.So basically I want it so that on right arrow first play out transition then go to next slide.
I'm creating a small game that basically moves a movieclip around the stage using the arrow keys. I found some code on the web that worked fine but when I added it as an external class as oppose to a timeline script part of it stopped working.The script is supposed to change the appearance of the MC depending on what arrow key is pressed (this is the gotoAndStop entry in the if statement), this works fine but it is also supposed to move on the x and y but now it won't after changing to external as file. I'm stuck please see the code below.I've added the correct class name to the MC and selected the export for ActionScript, I don't get any error messages,

I am trying to create a page transition that will play a movieCLip transition into a page. and then it stops then when another button is pressed, it will play that transition out while loading the appropriate one. In the attached FLA, if you click on the red button first, the blue transition plays,
it works correctly/ Playing out of the blue Transition and into the Red transition. However if I click it again it does the opposite, and just keep alternating.
If I add the
_root.transitionClip2.play("out");
to the first button then, nothing works right. I will eventually have more buttons, and may need to use a variable to control which "out" transitions is played, but how do I get the buttons to do this?I just want it to exit the current movie clip and play the "in" section of the desired clip.
I have a mc (fStrip) which looks like a piece of filmstrip with thumbnail images in it. I want this mc to move when the users mouse is positioned over it, but I only want it to move only along it's x-axis and in a direction opposite that of the mouse. And I want it to move or flow smoothly.
I've been trying to figure this out (see my lame attempt below) but without much luck.

I wish to get the effect of ants scuttering across the screen or up a tree, I have not decided which direction yet. I started with the tutorial code for the snow effect from kirupa, and changed it around to fit the little vector ant I created. The way I have it now looks pretty good, but the movement is a little too fluid. They obviously move in sinusoidal paths bc the code tells them to. I have about 20 copies of the main obj, and they're all a little different in size and specs (speed, transparency, etc) but what I was wondering was if there is any way I can change the code to make it a little more hectic, or erratic, not so fluid. If there is no way of doing so, it looks pretty good right now. If there is, however, I think it could look awesome. here's the code I'm using for the object.
i have looked everywhere for a tutorial on this - i have tried writing, and re-writing codes....i just cant get it. is there any tutorial i overlooked? here is what im looking to do - NO SHORTCUTS: have my main file that loads the buttons, my external swf container, my intro animations, and my swf "out" and "in" animations when a button is clicked i want it to point me to specific frame labels. i will have an "out" and "in" frame label and which will be the locations of the transitional starting points i want it to play the "out" transition, than unload the current swf, than play the in transition, than load the swf of the button that was clicked i want the animations to all be done using frame labels all within the MAIN swf file.... i have had no luck doing this....and i do NOT like the tween class....
I have a Mogli (Junglebook-like) Character that i got to move with the arrow keys on the keyboard.
I want the character to jump (so for example , he must while moving to the right of the "gamearea" , you must be able to hit a key (say for example the "control" key ) and then the character must jump ( go up ) and as soon as the key is released he must obviously come down.
And also how do one set movement speed on any particular movement.
I downloaded Creative Suite 5.0 Web Premium so I could built be an banner animation for my web site. There are three programs included in the suite, Flash Builder, Flash Catalyst and Flash Professional. Which one do I use to built and animation or do I need to use them all ?
Is FarmVille on the iOS built with Flash? And if so, how can you tell? Are there certain flags that exist in the form of certain files or magic numbers within the .app folder hierarchy?
I did a xml image gallery, with buttons for each image (using the duplicateMovieClip function + a for loop).Now i went to next step, I need to make a scroll for the menu, BUT, i don't have any idea how to set something to happen after the for loop is done.

Just for a simple test (since i noticed what i tried wasn't working well), I added a test movie clip and added a _visibile = false to be executed, i added it right after the closing of the for loop. I didn't had sucess thou, it happened before the loop .
i've used a Loader and URLRequest to download a .png from the internet and add it to my display list. since it's already a bitmap, does it have built in bitmap data already? or do i have to create the bitmap data myself?also, why does the same trace statement return false in the mouseMoveHandler when it outputs true in the displayImage function?

I'm currently working on converting an Android app I built natively as an iPhone app. I'm recreating it in Flash as I know AS3 but not Objective C. My original Android app is localized for 4 different languages (it's so easy to do with Android!) - and my question is - how would I do this for the iOS version from Flash? Would I be able to use separate XML files with all the strings in each language and load them in after somehow detecting which language the user's device is set to?I ended up using the following code:

This gave me a 2-letter language code: 'en' for English, 'de' for German, etc. which I was able to use to load the correct xml file for each language.
I have been fighting with this for nearly a month, (My wife is tired of hearing about it) and have been avoiding putting the question onto this forum because it feels like it's just within my reach. But obviously it isn't.
I have the code set up to dynamically build this calendar. It works for the month we're in but attempting to go to the previous or next month does not work. Sometimes next month works actually.
Ok I just checked it and it really only worked for October and now it is incorrect for November. The problem is determining the first and last days (i.e. Sunday, Monday, etc...) of the month.[code]...
I have been playing around with the tweening class, and wanted to make some tweeks to the motion inside the Back class, but when I tried added in some trace code it was like the /classes/functions were not being called?I went as far as renaming the easing folder to see what would happed, but nothing did, swf continued to play fine as if nothing had happened...are the classes it uses at run time in a different place?
On this website [URL] you will find a big flash applet at the top of the page. It has a sharedobject built in. Every time the applet goes to a new slide/scene (which it automatically does after x seconds), it updates the SharedObject so that once you refresh the page you end up at the same slide/scene again. Now the thing is that it does this only correctly in Internet Explorer.

This is the code of Scene 1. Where you get forwarded to another scene if the cookie exist. It doesn't depend on the browser but on flash alone.
