Nov 4, 2007i have this code that loads my large images on my site but it does not reduce them it shows the image with original resol only so if the user looks an image that's resol is 1600*1200 and their own screen resol is 1024*768 then they cannot see the images all part. so what i want is to implement a "reduce to best fit if their screen resol is lesser then the image resol" feature for this code. this is the code that loads the large movieclip

Feb 3, 2003I have created a website 900px by 600px, and need to know how to make the site so that its size is dependant on the users resolution.( I have had complaints of the text being too big in 800 by 600, but too small in 1600px by 1200px) the site itself is created in flash 5 if that is of any use.(although wouldn't it be something more to do with the html coding?

Jun 10, 2011We have recently made a new Flash website for our company (URL...). The Flash module itself is 800 pixels tall. We have CSS that centers a div horizontally and vertically that's wrapped around the Flash module (you can see the source of URL...) and when someone is on a browser on a netbook or a smaller laptop (sub 15-inch, generally), they don't have enough vertical resolution (after the real estate used by the Windows start bar and browser toolbars) to see the entire site.Whether you view the html page I've made (again, at URL...) or you view the Flash module itself (URL...) the top of the Flash module clips off the top of the browser. (To see the problem if you don't have a small laptop, just don't maximize your browser window and shrink it's vertical height.)I understand why my CSS is behaving the way it is, due to the nature of the negative top margin, but is there any way to solve this issue?

Flash :: Users Cannot See Videos On Website?
Jun 27, 2011The users using my website say they can't see the flash videos on the website, even after downloading the latest version of Adobe flash. May there be any reason for this ?

One of the users that the videos do not run for him has Windows operating system & Internet explorer browser.
I've put a check in the videos page to check if the user has the required flash version installed or not to run the video, but even if that user installs the latest flash version he keeps getting my check message, as in this screenshot: [URL]...

Dec 14, 2006I have spent some time looking at the Kirupa XML gallery with the thumb navigaition sliderOne problem emerge when i use different sized images (same height, different widths).If one thumbnail is half the width of the others, that thumbnail will be placed directly on top of one of the others. Furthermore if the "large" image also is half the width of the others (which it also is here) it'll get placed starting from the left and have a gray background where there is no image (which makes sense since the background is grey in the .fla).My question is: how i can get the gallery to display all thumbnails with the same spacing between them no matter what width they have (in my case they will all have same height). And if a thumbnail is not as large as the "default size"(for example 67 in height and 100 in width) is it possible to center that image in the "large image" display?

Jun 14, 2011i have the following problem: when i publish my site (all in flash) with stage.scalemode=exactfit parameter, the page is stretched; while when i use the scalemode=noborder parameter, the page is cropped below;
what i want is the site adapting itself to the width of the screen (with no borders on the sides),maintaining proportions and so allowing down scrolling; I haven't found any answer around the web to this apparently simple issue

Feb 21, 2010SWFLoader's scaleContent is not able to do what I'm trying to achieve:
<mx:SWFLoader id="img" width="600" height="400" scaleContent="true"/>
When an image of size 100x80 is loaded inside it, the image does does not resize to 600x400. That's because scaleContent = true.
Then, I set maintainAspectRatio = true. The image did resize to 600x400 but obviously, it was totally out of proportion.
So how do I always fit any sized image to the current size of the SWFLoader while maintaining the aspect Ratio? The resized image may be cropped, which is ok.
SCENARIO: An image of size 1500x10 is loaded inside the above SWFloader. In this case the height(10) should be resized to 400 and the width(1500) should automatically resize depending on the height. A lot of the image will be cropped, which is fine.
