ActionScript 2.0 :: Controlling Divs In Dreamweaver With Flash Buttons

I have created a website in Dreamweaver and it functions entirely upon hiding/showing divs, using the appropriate behavior (very basic html knowledge on my part So it's just one page in which layers are alternatively hidden and shown.I have created a set of flash buttons (they are all in one file, because a very basic Flash animation is supposed to make them fade in one by one when another flash button inserted in the html page is activated). Now, I have two problems regarding this:
1. On page load, this "animation" (the buttons which fade in successively one after another) appears automatically, even though it is located inside a div which is invisible by default and should only be visible at the trigger of a button. This is not acceptable for me because it is a submenu which should be invisible at first.
2. Let's suppose item #1 is resolved. Different html divs are supposed to appear/be hidden when rolling over each of these Flash buttons, and I haven't been able to find out how to do this. I know I should work with the Flash code in order to do this, "on (rollover) {//no idea what to place here to call the Javascript function from dreamweaver which I don't know how to create, if it's not applied directly to an object//}

I'm working through Dreamweaver fairly well, and I'm now wanted to import Flash buttons I've created myself into Dreamweaver for a website I'm currently building, and it's here that I'm finding the problem. I have been to the 'get URL Function', but it says something about needing to link to a web page? But my problem is how can I link Flash Buttons to a web page, when my site is still being developed and not published? Do I have to publish first?
I animated 4 flash buttons in one .fla file. When you rollover each button, an animation should play. However, when I preview the .swf in Dreamweaver, the rollover buttons only work HALF the time. I tried putting a preloader on the .fla file as well as toggling the quality to low in the original .fla, but it still only works half the time?
I created a Flash CS4 document which contains 2 buttons. I used the code below to link the two buttons to well known web sites, tested them in Flash and the buttons work fine.
(Flash 5) I have 12 different buttons that are keyboard keys that play a sound when you click on them. I am wondering if, in addition to that, one could hit, for instance, the ` key for this first one, the 1 key for the second one, the 2 key for the third one, etc..etc.. Is there a script for that, in addition to the click?
I'm trying to embed some flash code, and I'm using swfobject. When I put it in the parent div, it asks the users for permission on the webcam/audio. However, when I put the flash code into a lower-level div, it doesn't prompt for permission to use the webcam, or anyting. I.E.I can put the flash into container, but not inside.
I have a flash map. There are 6 clickable countries on the map. When one clicks on a country I want html content to appear under the flash movie. As far as I can see the best way to accomplish this is to have all the content already under the flash movie each in a separate div, with display set to hidden. Then action script inside the country buttons calls a javascript function on the html when that button is clicked, to set display:block for corresponding content filled div. I've tried a few scripts but couldn't get it working.

Is there anything else i should do when imbedding flash into my page so that the flash can talk to the html and call the javascript?
why the hell doesn't a div positioned over a flash object stay on top with z-index. I have found the answer in the past, but it's been so long, I can't seem to get it. My flash movie is in a div floating left:
Basically the majority of my content is flash based. I designed it using Flash Builder (Flex) and Its in a liquid layout, (everything is in percents) and if im JUST embedding the flash content it scales to the page fine, and i have the flash content set to have a padding of 50 px.
I put a header div in fine with no problems, but I have 2 problems, the first being the footer div seems to cover up the buttom of the flash content in IE, but it looks just fine in chrome. How can I solve this? I'm using the stock embed code that Flex provides, I tried to edit the css style for the div which I think is #flashContent and give it a min width and min height but it didnt seem to work, actually anything I did to #flashContent didn't seem to do anything, maybe its not the div i need to be adding that attribute to...
And my other problem is I dont even know where to start when it comes to placing a div thats 280width by 600height colum to the right side of the flash content. If i could specify a size for the flash content, and the float it left, and float the colum right, and clear it with the container div id be just fine....But remember the flash content is set to 100% Scale (well techically 100%x80% because it looked better that way). how I can start to deal with creating a more complex scaleable flash layouts that includes other divs? ALL WELL MAINTAINING IE SUPPORT? IE is ruining my life.

I am unable to click on "Allow" button in my Adobe Flash Player Settings panel that pop's up because half of it is hidden behind divs making it "unclickable".I tried setting negative z-indices on the divs that are overlaying it and I also tried giving a prositive z-index to the div holding the Flash Player Settings panel
Now, I like to have my flash animated character (700kb) to speak dialogues, the related text should pop and go in the html side of the page.
I've already used this amazing cool script from Text highlight with audio sync in Jquery by Marnix van Valen & HTML5 works cool as he says. BUT, what about flash?
I have a movie clip that displays an embedded html with a bunch of divs that are expected to hide and show other divs when the users click them. i.e. imagine that you have a span with an instruction in javascript to show a div when you click it. I already made the html file, the external css and the external js. The movieclip (in actionscript 3.0) loads and displays the html content and also the css, but i haven't managed to figure out how am i supposed to link or use the javascript to do the trick. I've tried so far doing an exhausting research over the internet for the past few days and the only infromation i've got is that web developers use externalInterface to access javascript functions, but they use flash buttons to execute the js code, and it appears to me that i cannot use or embed flash btns in my site. I don't know, I'm kinda new to flash and this is the first time I work with actionscript 3.[code]or how do I achieve de hide/show thing with another method? I'll be wandering around the site in case you have any extra doubts about this subject.
I am trying to control my main Scene 1 via a navigation bar within a movie clip.
I am using the following code for each button:

If I just put that code in for one button, that one button will work, but once I add another line of code for my next button, the only one that works is the first one, then the rest of them don't do anything.
i have forward/back buttons to control the timeline. what happens in the following code is that if the button is clicked while in the < or > range of frames, it gets buggy. heres the code.

this doesnt seem to go to the exact frame i need if i click while the current sample is still animating in. It would be much better if i could tell flash to a specific frame instead of asking flash to determine a range. that way, if a button is pressed during an animation it wont just advance one frame, it would jump to a specific frame.

i thought about creating a var that would be a string. i could then add a number to the name of that string each time the button is clicked. then i could make frame labels the name of the string. but i couldnt get my head around it. also, i didnt know how to make the button stop adding to the string name once it reach a certain value (6 in this case). or how to make it play the last sample animation if the user kept clicking the advance button at the end of the samples.
I'm making a section in my production with 4 audio files which are controlled with a play and stop button. I've managed to make the first one work on the page with this code -

What would I need to copy to control 3 other files the same way? (i.e "audio/track2.mp3" with play_btn2/stop_btn2). I've tried copying part of the code and changing the instant names but I keep getting errors so I'd rather ask somebody who knows what they're doing.
I am trying to make ThumbNail Highlite via button and MC.
Each of the Thumbnails has a same button with instance named "item" 1 to 40. Also, I have the highlite MC instance named "highlite" 1 to 40 as well

I have created a presentation which is mostly graphics and voiceover. I have created a few custom buttons to allow the user to pause, start over, etc. (not video). In a few places I am calling to external flv files which have been placed inside movieclips. I want to be use my custom pause button to pause the flv as well, as opposed to using a flv player/controller. I have made several attempts such as:

I'm trying to build a simple slideshow with AS3 consisting of one movie clip which should be controlled backwards and forwards using simple buttons. I can get the slideshow to play forward once but, apart from getting slide 2 to go back to slide 1, I can't get it to work with the remaining slides.
I have a 4 frame file that is a dvd menu. Buttons controlling navigation between all frames. There is a main page, and 3 child pages that link back to main. I have an mp3 file that I need to add as background music. I have created a new layer and added the following to the action of frame 1.

I need the initial instance to persist throughout and not loop til the end of the song.

Can we control the external loaded swf with buttons created on another swf. Let me simplify this: I have one swf in which I have created one small timeline animation and the second swf has the buttons to play and stop the animation.
Now I load this 2 swf in my main file and want to control the animation through that buttons.
I'm updating my website and found out that I originally created it using AS1. I now need to update to AS3 and am having difficult time learning AS3 or even catching on to the basics. On two of my pages, I created a static text box, which I turned into a movie clip to have controlled by buttons. I got my down button to work, but I'm still having a problem with my up button. I can get it to work if I use the same code as my "down", but then my movie clip text continue scrolling down, instead of up. Here is my current set up:

I have a text movieclip (service_mc) on the stage for which I need to control 4 different _xpositions (_x = 0, _x = -700, _x = -1400, x = -2100) with 4 button mc's (btn_one, btn_two, btn_three, btn_four).
For these four buttons I already declared the Over, Out, Release and Restore stage in a function:

What I like to accomplish is to control the _x positions of "service_mc" with the same buttons. I mean when btn_one is pressed service_mc should go to _x = 0, when btn_two is pressed the _x position from service_mc should change to _x = -700 etc, etc
How to integrate this possibility in the existing function?
I am somewhat new to flash and am having some trouble trying to control two different movie clips with two different buttons. Currently when either one of the buttons is pressed both movie clips start to play.
