I have sum photos which I suppose to create a flash animation to show those photos but I'm not good in flash and have no idea what to create... As I have quite alot of photos, so I cant use frames onli. Give mi sum suggestions or any free example tat I can download?
(PS. It must be auto-play without user to click anything or to mouseover)

My question is; How can I get this timer to reset and run again after the nextFrame() has triggered.
I made an animation in Flash which I want to embed in Flex using SWFloader.
I've imported the tweener class (caurina.transitions.*) to tween a rotation. The animation runs perfectly in Flash.
However, when I embed the animation in Flex, the tweening is gone.
Do I need to import the tweener class in Flex?
I use Flash Player 10 (latest version), Flash CS4 Professional version 10.0.02, IE8 and Flex Builder 3.
I would like to create an AJAX style pop up to present photos from a flash movie. I found a tutorial, but it didn't work for me. I'm trying to trigger it off the gerURL function of a button, but nothing popups. I have verified that a simple link in <a> from the html page the flash movie is on works fine, so it's just the call from flash itself.

I haven't used Flash in quite a while and wanted to make an animation to display quite a few photos. As i'm out of practice, linking videos kind of skipped my mind and therefore my first file which has lots of images in has become quite heavy and slow to run.My problem is... Is there a quick and easy way i can directly switch one part of an animation with another, keeping all the tweens and actions that are on it? (EG I want to switch out images for the same images saved as smaller files)
Or, is there a way i can scale down the movie in size to make it run smoother? I am going to have quite a lot of photos in a series of linked videos, but as i forgot about it, my first video has too much content and is too big in file size. It can be quite big as it's only for use on my mac (not online) but i still need it smaller as it won't run smoothly.
I am trying to animate some jpgs that have been loaded inside a movie clip. i just want them to move horizontally. I have tried using tweens and also the onEnterFrame method with different frame rates but the animation is always juddery and not smooth.

I don't know how to create an array and on every Random number you check if the new Random number is already in the array. If not, you put that value in the array. If it is already in the array...you generate a new Random number. When the array contains all numbers.

I have created two buttons (Button1 and Button2). When you click Button1, an animation pops up. You click on the animation to close it - that works fine. If I then click on Button1 again to replay the animation, the animation does not show. If I click on Button2 THEN go back to click on Button1, the animation plays. Why can I not click that same button twice in a row? What am I doing wrong?

It works when i roll over and it stops when i roll out, but then it continues in a loop up to the point where i rolled out (instead of cutting off completely as i would like). I'm looking for a SWF animation, something I could place on my webpage and input images via an admin section.So I would put the SWF in place, and then he would feed himself via an XML file I would do (or something like this) that I would construct with a PHP script from a MySQL database. The script would take randomly images from the DB.All I want is the SWF, I can organize myself with the XML/PHP/MySQL thing.
The animation (the SWF) has to be extensible, I mean, I want to specify the width and height of the animation and I want it to scroll from right to left continuously, at an average speed. This implies that the animation could be, let's say 900 pixels wide, there could be numerous images at the same time scrolling from right to left, all images would have to keep aspect ratio (the maximum height specified).
I'd like to build a gallery of photos which has selected thumbnail on each of them before displaying their photos.

View 5 RepliesI'm trying to create a resizing script for a client that is allowing users to upload photos through their site. SInce most of the photos will be huge this will help in performance. I've had some experience in the saving of a jpeg from Flash but I'm stuck with the scaling. I'm saving the uploaded file to the server. Reloading it into a movie clip, resizing it based on my desired sizes and then saving it back to the server in its new size. When I'm resizing I'm just using the scale properties to resize the loaded large image. When I get my bitmap data of the scale mc it's not taking the data from the scaled clip it's taking the data from the unscaled mc. So my data is basically the upper left hand corner of the original image instead of the whole image.
I've tried nesting the movie clips so that the top clip isn't scaled.I've tried duplicating the data from the scaled clip into a new non scaled clip and that doesn't work either.I've tried not using scale and just using width and height, doesn't work either.
I'm working on making a site with an xml photo gallery with thumbnails. Right now, I have the gallery working, but I want to add an effect from this site: [URL] When the photos load, the layout resizes according to the photo size. How can I do something like this?

View 1 Repliesok lets say you create a button that when held down play an animation of 20 frames if realsed it goes to frame one and stops if held down it plays out this animation. for the topic lets say you have a fire animation and you want the fire to apear and if the user hold its down the animation reaches the end of the time line and loops back and plays the last 5 frames of the animation and as soon as it is let go it goes to and stops at frame one. Well i know how to make a button that when held down plays out an animation. And i know how to say when released goes to and stops at frame one. What i dont know how to do is to loop the fire at the last 5 or 6 frames so the user can hold it down all day long and play out that animation.

I'm a novice in flash when it comes to actionscript and xml. Let me explain what I have so far and what i want to do with it. I have a basic flash animation, which constists of 12 images horizontally scrolling across the movie stage.It is animated to scroll from right to left at a speed of 1. I would like to update all those images once a month and so I'm looking for a way to do it using xml. Has someone done this before? It will make it a lot easier to update, rather than have to manually swap out pictures in the flash file.
