I have worked out how to get the rolling ball effect, but don't know how to do the grass springing up. I found some grass and flower symbols in Illustrator which will suit the purpose. I thought of loading them into the deco tool as one possible way, but there might other ways.

But I've now got to bring flowers in to the mix and need to adapt the actionscript to have an effect on a shape/movie clip. I have figured out how to create the flash file which will overlay the page, with all elements centered, from here: kirupa forums tutorial.
The only thing I cannot figure out is how to attach the Close button which would come at the top right. AS3 is not allowing me to attach any behaviour to the button, neither does it allow me to put actionscript there. I am in dire straits.
I am trying to develop a basic game engine for a slime soccer style game where a player can move around and jump. I am still fairly new at AS3 but managed to put together this working bit of code that the game currently runs on:

i hav a left right moving thumbnail gallery from xml, i need that on the last image image come on focus from the left side so automatically the left button will be disable or opacity goes 0 anything and same thing from right side also.

I've some components with dynamic heights. They have to be aligned with respect to the bottom of my canvas container, so I cannot set the same y for all components.
I could compute their heights and successively set the y but I was wondering if there was an easier way to do it.

I'm a bit stuck looking for a tutorial for a water effect I'm trying to create. Has anyone made a simple random fluid water-effect in Flash, to be applied to one background image?
There's plenty of ripples and rain drops - but my image is taken from within the water, and it would be great to get some animation in there!
i am working on a project in which i want to have the water ripple effect when i click the mouse where ever on the stage. so here is the problem i have created a file which produces the water ripple effect all across the stage randomly by using "flash.filters.DisplacementMapFilter " when playing the movie i want the ripples to appear on mouse down state and only one ripple not multiple ripples and exactly at the place where i click. now what i have done is i have put all the script i have in " mouseListener.onMouseDown = function() { " but what happens is the ripples appear when i click but not the whole movie clip for ripple is played its like i have to click fast after each other for the ripple to be continuous and full.what should i do?

View 1 RepliesMy vision is to have a colored square at the top of the site Im working on which should span across the entire browser window. I have created a square 1280 x 100 pixels in size and imported it to the stage, alignment is set to x=0, y=0 ad alignment. The scene is the same size as the square I 've imported. When I view my Flash creation its displayed 8 pixels from the top left corner of the browser window. The flash file only contains the square and nothing else. take a look at the 3 files I've attached: issue-scrreen1-3.jpg. The first 2 screens are my Flash, properties and library screen shots. The third screen shot is my browser window.
